Re: Invest in ICO or IEO but IEO run by not good exchanges.
by

Even a bad project will fail on a good exchange- after the initial hype is gone or when they fail to deliver something tangible to investors. The better approach is to focus on the merits of a  project rather than the platform where it is being launched

Re: Bounty Campaign After Getting Listed
by
fosamede

The goal of a bounty is to create more awareness and as such attract investors or users. In the case of ICO bounties, they are meant to collect funds for the start of the project. Subsequent investments to keep the project afloat. Veil never did an ICO for example, so funding the project was primarily through tokens sales and appreciation on exchange. Others basically need to keep the trade volume up so as to give value to the tokens. No investment survives without new investors or users.

Re: There are many scammers doing fake sales of Libra - example
by

on 31/07/2019, 23:22:32 UTC
Sometimes I wonder how people fall for this kind of cheap scam. Facebook libra has not announced any sales of tokens and may indeed never launch (considering the legal battle it still has to battle with some government institutions), so why would someone think he or she is actually buying facebook Libra coins? We just need to create more awareness especially to new entrants to cryptocurrency space

It is easy to fall for such phising sites if you do not take time to check the url properly. I bookmark pages i use often to avoid confusion. Some exchanges are aware of this scam and make a security provision for that- all genuine message from them must always carry your UNIQUE ID chosen and only known by you. I think Kucoin does that.

One of the challenges with many crypto projects is that Society is not yet ready for the kind of innovative ideas that is being proposed. Like you said, some of the projects that are currently struggling will get a boost when eventually there is mass adoption of cryptocurrencies. For now, only those that are able to gather enough community support and hype are thriving

Re: Blockchain.com launches their own exchange - 'The Pit'
by

They certainly do have some good reputation to build on. blockchain.com is one of the most popular and older hot wallet. A zero fee to blockchain wallet is a good deal. Segwit is unlikely
"The PIT", cool name for an exchange

I will call it "cashdroid" if I want to retain some of its  geeky aspects or I will simply call "fiat-killer" or the "government-nightmare-cash"

I do not think 25 USD is worth your privacy. It will give the government full access to your cryptoassets since the government can easily conpell a third party to submit the details of their customers. It will lead to all sorts of abuse, restrictions and control by government

I am a strong believer in bitcoin and I have not doubt that it will  surpass its previous all-time high but I still will not mortgage my life savings or my piece of real estate for it. No one can really tell with all certainty when bitcoin will move higher in price or dip lower

Trading is kind of competitive, someone's loss is your profit and vice versa. So it best done with you are knowledgeable enough. Even the best and experience trader do record losses on some days, nothing is absolute. The important thing is to keep improving on your skills , then your chances of making a profit is significantly improved

If you are participating in airdrops, it is good practice to have a dedicated wallet to that so as to limit your risks. Also avoid any interaction that exposes your private keys, there are better options to naviigate this with metamask.io.Avoid downloading links to avoid malware that could compromise your laptop

Re: Stake vs Fixed bounty allocation
by

Fixed bounty does give better indications of the quantity of tokens to expect at the end of the campaign unlike staked campaign. The downside is that they often offer smaller rewards and the token allocation are quickly exhausted.

Re: Adoption Over Bull Run
by

Volatility will be significantly be minimal if more persons are involved in trading- not some few individuals doing the trade. As the adoption grows steadily we will have a much more stable market. It will also mean fewer persons hold large chunk of bitcoin to significantly affect the market direction

Coinex is pretty nice, the withdrawal fees are very modest, it is free of bitcoins cash as they are sort of a branch of viabtc.com which own a mining pool. Withdrawal is also timely. Trade fee can be almost zero if you are using the exchange token CET.

Re: Exchanges are not recommended.
by

Almost all exchanges inflate their trade volume, the data you get on coinmarketcap as the total daily trade is inflated, that is why a single buy order of say 100 million USD for bitcoin can be enough sometimes to shift the market position. What one should be more bothered about is if the exchange are not going to pull some exit scams on users, those are the more serious concerns

Ethereum is my choice any day, for a lot of reasons. Despite the competitions ,ETH is still the most widely used tokens for smart contracts, have the "first-movers advantage'. The Ethereum Foundations hosts some of the biggest corporations and certainly boasts as having the largest number of developers. Ethereum scaling challenge will eventually be solved and will mentions a better standing on coinmarketcap.
