I don't know about x100, but given the issues with current social media platforms (their susceptibility to actions from google, apple, and amazon), and the lack of any better solution at this time, Hive is in a unique position. It was forked away from Steem specifically to maintain censorship resistance. Same tech stack as steem (mostly), but decentralized and far more buidling going on

People talk up content, but steem is much more a "networking" site than a "content" site. Go make friends. Talk to people. Care about what people are saying (no, you can't fake it), and respond thoughtfully. It takes time and effort, but it is possible.
