Fight Farm NFTs: Stake to Earn, Strategy Betting Game
by
frameLAlife
on 03/10/2024, 12:11:35 UTC
Yeah I’m still here… since 2012.

Fight Farm NFTs is a stake to earn, strategy betting game. Collect & stake fighter NFTs to earn $FIGHT & win $IST stablecoins based on real world UFC fight results.

A fighter NFT is like equity in their fight career. If they win, you win. You only need a single NFT to win, but staking muliples multiplies your winnings.

Every fighter NFT is minted on demand going into the scheduled fight. On fight night that fighter NFT version is capped to lock supply & increase rarity. Every new fight a new fighter NFT version is minted, sold, & capped creating limited edition NFT versions through a fighters career.

You are incentivized to collect all versions of any given fighter to increase earnings & be eligible for NFT upgrades upon the fighter retiring or leaving the organization. If the fighter has retired or left the UFC, you no longer have fights to earn & win rewards.

The NFT is then eligible for upgrade to a LGND fighter NFT. Redeem $FIGHT tokens earned during gameplay to upgrade your fighter NFT. Upgrading will burn 1 of every version of a fighter NFT. This reduces the total supply of fighter NFTs, as well as impacts the total supply of a specific fighter, and decreases the supply of each individual version. This is great for rarity and could impact price based on demand from long term collectors, and players who need at least 1 version of each fighter in order to burn and upgrade.

This means the total possible LGND NFTs that can be minted for each fighter is based on the total supply of their version that has the lowest supply.

Example: Fighter A

Version 1: 8 NFTs
Version 2: 25 NFTs
Version 3: 7 NFTs
Version 4: 29 NFTs
Version 5: 42 NFTs
Version 6: 47 NFTs

The max supply of LGND NFTs possible to mint for Fighter A is 7. If you burned all 7 of V3 NFTs, you would reduce the supply of all the versions by 7. You would reduce the total supply of the fighter NFTs by 42. Once the lowest supplied version has been depleted by burning, upgrading is no longer available for that specific fighter.

From a gameplay perspective, there may be increased demand to collect, burn, & upgrade to a LGND. But once supply & demand kicks in, the increased value of that reducing lowest supply version, as well as the decrease on the total supply for that fighter should impact price positively.

As a collector, many will simply want to hold the fighter NFT long term and not burn it because they are simply a fan of that fighter, or they are speculating on future demand and price that a collector or player is willing to pay for that specific fighter or specific version.

So, why would any player be willing to destroy the supply of the fighter in order to upgrade the NFT to a LGND.

I am glad to be a part of this community and am very thankful that you have taken charge. I really cannot wait until this is over (the burn) and everyone is back in the game so to speak. I commend you all for you efforts in getting this done!!!

No prob mafort. I'm glad you stuck around. We have a good community here even if it's rather small. I think that as long as everyone pitches in we will have some traction kind of like when Octocoin first took off last year. I know that the devs plans, logo and such attracted some attention but we were the ones out there creating the buzz and honestly driving up the price. We believed in something and were glad to be a part of it.

I'll be honest, I was doing a Counterparty token regardless. I just thought that it's a good thing to bring your friends in the community along, specially after the way Octocoin ended up. It's both a pride thing and a good strategy. I mean we all deserve to have some kind of return and our original expectations to be met. It's also a lot easier to have you guys around for support and to have a community in place than it would be to start from square one trying to gain interest.

I don't want to minimize the importance you guys play by saying it's strategic so don't take it the wrong way. Just pointing out that it's a great strategic move and fair at the same time to give you guys a chance to be part of what we originally wanted.

Thanks for the support and for pitching in. Thanks for sticking around even when you don't agree with every move I make. It's hard to please everyone when you have a large group of people and there may even be moves we make that I don't necessarily like. But I have done quite a bit of research, talked to quite a bit of people and want to make the right moves and find a balance to keep the community happy.

I'll say this, feel free to call us out on whatever you don't agree with. I promise, even if we don't agree I'll try to explain reasons behind some of the decisions. And I also think you guys will love that Counterparty has voting. We can pretty much set up and vote on hot button issues. That will take a little more research and you do have to understand that there may be some things that people just have to bite the bullet on.

I'm sure opinions vary on many things such as burn ratio, number of coins, applications and projects (which by the way, nobody will stop anyone from making any app or project around the new OCTO. it's open source and anyone around has the power to take the code and build whatever you like and promote whatever you like to accept OCTO.) But the good thing is this will be a community ran coin and transparent as possible, at least with your dealings with myself.

I also hope you guys see the value that Counterparty can bring with partnering with other coins. FoldingCoin did not have to help us out but he does that because it's mutually beneficial and because he loves Counterparty and crypto.

Thanks for all the help guys. More to come soon.

Just a word of warning. I am finishing up at my real life job soon and starting my move to Tampa on March 1st. You know I frequent here and I will continue to do so when possible so don't get scared if you see me drop off some. I just have a lot on my plate outside of OCTO. And you have plenty of resources when it comes to Robert at FLDC and all the Octocoin guys who have pitched in on the burn. I just don't want any of you to get any ideas that I'm backing out if my frequency drops the next 2 weeks.

Let me get to Tampa and I'll be back in full swing. Later.

I think that we could still distribute the extra OCTO to cover the fee. I mean you are talking a very small amount. If we don't I doubt most would care about the fee.

As for the block explorer I'm all for any solution. I'll gladly pitch in on BTC to cover the cost of the block explorer. That's fairly cheap. Please post a donation address to collect BTC for the block explorer if we decide to use them. I'll wait to see if there are any better options or people's opinions. The sooner we have the block explorer the better.

Remember also guys, I'll be starting the website soon. If you would like to pitch in to cover the site, hosting and domain name, please send BTC to:

1fff2DwPLF3gYCgTL8HBNsLkmJfrhn5rd

https://blockchain.info/address/1fff2DwPLF3gYCgTL8HBNsLkmJfrhn5rd - track the amount raised

The website will be through squarespace and run between $100-$200 total depending on which package we raise enough money for.

Ok, would you like me to continuously post the steps to burn 888 here since we cannot access the op?

Also when you get a chance, lets skype, I would love to setup an OCTO private forum on LTB with you. We need to make a video on this (tutorial) so yours would be a perfect one to do since we need to create it. That would allow only interested parties in OCTO to be able to access the new private forums. Let me know when you can skype, i am availalble tonight if you are Smiley

Yeah we need to skype soon. I just got back home. I work 11-8 Thursday and Friday. I'll have some free time this weekend to help with a video. I'm glad to go first and record.

On the new wallet? Yeah it may have been an issue with the first wallet. I did not see a date of when that was posted. I checked my wallet and my largest transaction was only 47,000 so I had no way of knowing.

"We've determined the Octocoin wallet WILL NOT send more than 50,000 coins in one transaction and peoples manual payouts over 50,000 coins were failing, requiring us to perform manual payouts which then required us to do a lot of work on the pools accounting back end - this gave cause to seriously consider shutting down the pool. The best remedy for us and you miners was just to disable manual payouts"

this was posted on lifeforce's info page for Octocoin. i do not see a date for the post. i wonder if that is true that the wallet transactions over 50,000 coins fail? i remember sending transactions between 20-40k but i cannot remember if i ever sent a transaction over 50k.

please keep that in mind when burning your coins if this is the case. it may take multiple transactions all tied to the same return Counterwallet address.

I know that I have transferred more than 100K at once from Bittrex in the past, but it may have been with an earlier wallet.

I do not recall anything in the code that would limit large transactions, but there could be an issue with the number of inputs that make up the total quantity being sent. If you have a lot of small transactions coming into your wallet (from mining and faucets) and then try to send them all at once, it could possibly cause an issue.

All coins have a max transaction block size, not in number of coins, but in bytes. The more inputs that have to be put together to make a transaction; the larger the transaction block size in bytes. If the transaction size creates a block that is larger than the max size, it will be rejected.

I know that is why most exchanges do not want you to mine directly to your wallet address on the exchange, as it can limit the number of coins that they can include in a withdrawal transaction because of the transaction block size limit on most coins.

I would think that if all of the coins were sent to the burn address from the same Octo address, it would be fairly easy (although time consuming) to get an accurate total.

I'll scan through the code again and see if I see anything...

thanks for clarifying.

Ok, so be sure not to send any coins to the unconfirmed burn address.

We are still figuring this out and really need the block explorer up. You can start to email in your Counterwallet and Octocoin addresses as stated a few posts earlier.

Thanks.

Have we confirmed this is the address for the burn?

8burnYouroctoHere4oCToPartyXRcdDgX

"OK, it's pretty straightforward, the last few characters are required for a checksum and the first needs to be an 8 but you can have anything alphanumeric you want for the rest excluding lowercase l, upper case O and I or 0 (zero).  For instance this is a valid address, I just sent some dust there"

If so I can get started. I will send mine to the address.

Guys, you can email your info to octocoinburn@gmail.com and copy Robert.

You can get your wallet at counterwallet.co

You saw Robert's walkthrough but if you have questions or issues you can add me  to Skype: kristharp78

Please wait until these guys respond and confirm the address above is going to be the official burn address.

I believe that is dependent on GW Calvert unless someone else can do it. I have emailed him about it. His wife is in the hospital but he said he would get back to me about it asap.

I have sent messages to a couple of guys that have done block explorers for me in the past. I'm just waiting on their reply.

There are others out there in BTCtalk-land that set up explorers. If anyone knows of someone, you might send them a message and inquire about their fees. Or... If someone has some server or VPN space available that we could use for a couple of months; I'm sure that there is someone here among us that can get an explorer up and running.

Unfortunately, my time is very limited for what looks like to be at least the next month. I will know more after my wife's visit with her doctor tomorrow. It sucks getting old...  Tongue

No problem. We will figure it out Smiley Please spread the word guys.

also willing to provide some lowly GPU hash for the process, but it may be more cost-effective to rent someone's ASICs.

thanks for the offer hashbrown. hey, every hash counts. if we do a 2 month burn process or even a 1 month burn process, then we will have to control the network during that time period.

whether it's GPU's or rented hash every little bit counts.
Looks like there are a lot of takers on the burn, I am excited for this Smiley

Let me know when you are ready to get something up on our site with instructions on how the burn will work. If you join the Merged Folding family you get some real estate on our site for whatever you would like Smiley

Yeah, we've had some good responses. I also have received some PM's saying they were burning. I also know my roommate and another friend are burning. So the list is growing.

Surprisingly, even with the modest amount that have posted, many of these hold quite a bit of Octocoin.

Guys, the balls in your court as far as the burn. I'll be available for whatever you need me to do, including starting the website, writing some press releases to let some Bitcoin news sites know about the burn, etc.

Let me know your skype names so we can get started on the technical aspect of it and get the ball rolling.

I believe GW Calvert, Squidsin and maybe 1-2 more have offered to help with the burn. I need you guys to PM me your Skype names so we can create the Skype chat for the burn devs. Then coordination can begin.

Also, I'm going to start the website this weekend.

BTC address if you want to donate towards the cost of the website:

1fff2DwPLF3gYCgTL8HBNsLkmJfrhn5rd

I will use www.squarespace.com to build the website and purchase the domain all in one package. I can start building it now but before publish I'll have to pay. It should be around $100-$200 depending on whether I get the lowest bandwidth/storage or the unlimited.

http://www.squarespace.com/pricing/

Thanks in advance to anyone who donates.
