Re: Argument: Can a digital currency sent to a wrong address be recovered ?
by
frank07a
on 18/10/2023, 10:07:07 UTC
Hello everyone,

I've been following this discussion with great interest, as the concern of sending digital currency to the wrong address is something that's crossed my mind many times. It's true that due to the decentralized structure of cryptocurrencies, once the funds are sent to a wrong address, recovering them becomes nearly impossible.

However, recently I came across a service called WalletID that introduces an interesting solution to this problem. Instead of using the long, complex traditional crypto addresses, WalletID allows users to receive crypto on a short, personalized WalletID that they can create for themselves. It's like a username for your crypto wallet. You can send from popular wallets like Metamask, Coinbase, and Trust Wallet directly to these WalletIDs. This approach greatly reduces the chances of sending funds to a wrong address because the ID is more memorable and user-friendly.

It's not a foolproof solution, but it's an innovative step towards minimizing errors in transactions. Worth checking out if you're concerned about sending funds to the wrong address.

Re: Can i buy BTC using an internationl credit card?

Using an international credit card (one that is issued in a country but is accepted in lots of countries), is there somewhere i can buy BTC?

edit: i mean without a middleman, no Paypal etc, i pay with the CC and the person or entity sends me the equivalent in BTC to the address i provide.
Of course, you can easily buy any cryptocurrency with a credit card. The only thing you need to know is that you may need to be verified. This is to prevent people from laundering money.
For example, I buy altcoins through a credit card on XGo. I advise you to take a closer look at this exchange, no unnecessary questions from the support service.
Thanks, but I rarely buy with a credit card, I mostly use P2P trading.

Re: Buying a house with 100% Bitcoin is possible in Portugal
by
frank07a
on 20/04/2023, 06:00:40 UTC
Interesting data from wikipedia says Portugal has 73.9% home-ownership rate which is pretty high. My guess is this probably played a part as home-ownership appears to be more on the norm side there indicating some locals may see it as an essential thereby making people more motivated to trigger the purchase button despite their inflated prices and bitcoin's long term potential.

Yes, in Portugal it is very common to buy a house instead of renting it, as the cost is practically the same. In many cases the monthly loan fee is lower than the monthly rental fee. That's why people in Portugal end up buying a house whenever they can.

Of course, at this time of interest rate hikes, things get more complicated. But also the rental prices are so inflated, it gets complicated in both cases.

Buying a house with Bitcoin, for those who have this ability, to get rid of monthly fees and save hundreds of euros every month.
A very good trend is that people have started accepting payment for real estate in Bitcoins. I am surprised by the fact that it is more profitable to buy an apartment than to rent, in my country the situation is completely different.

Will it be worthwhile to hold and trade LUNC, and will LUNA 2.0 regain trust and position?
Forget Luna version 1 of the coin, it's garbage that they are still trying to sell. If you want to invest in this dubious coin, then here you can see the list of exchanges that have listed Luna2.0. I would not recommend investing in Luna and Luna 2.0.

Re: Bitcoin is available on NO KYC Crypton Exchange
by
frank07a
on 24/05/2022, 11:22:44 UTC
Crypton Exchange, a global anonymous and secure no KYC crypto exchange has added a new trading pair BTC/USDT on the platform.

*Crypton Exchange is a decentralized no KYC exchange platform part of the secure Utopia P2P ecosystem. Utopia P2P is Web 3.0, available now. It is an anonymous, decentralized P2P network for instant messaging, payments, and private browsing.

Crypton Exchange is one of the safest platforms for cryptocurrency buying, selling, and changing today, which maintains its reputation and does not cooperate with government agencies or other projects. On the contrary, all methods of protecting the exchange are unique and are constantly being improved.

Crypton Exchange benefits:

1. No KYC security platform

No need to confirm a user’s identity and add personal data to register on the exchange. Instead, all that is needed is to download Utopia P2P, register as a Utopia client, and get a Public Key (PK). Then this PK is used for the same anonymous registration on the exchange.

2. Available worldwide

The exchange is available worldwide without restrictions in all jurisdictions. If the exchange domain itself is blocked, it will still be accessible through the Utopia P2P ecosystem.

3. Low transaction fees

Transaction fees are very low or non-existent on the market. There are no limits or other restrictions.

4. Community support

The exchange has a reputation as a high-quality and secure platform. It is supported by thousands of users from all over the world every day.

5. Decentralized space

A decentralized ecosystem backs the platform with built-in secure tools: messaging, browser, email, etc. Therefore, working on the exchange, you get access to a variety of other tools for online security.

In addition to BTC, the following cryptocurrencies are available on the exchange: CRP — the main privacy coin of the Utopia P2P ecosystem; UUSD — the first anonymous stablecoin; Monero — a third-party privacy coin.

Register on Crypton Exchange and start buying and selling Bitcoin the most secure way.

Official Utopia website: https://u.is/en/

Crypton Exchange: https://crp.is/
For PR of your exchange, I advise you to send an application for add to the site https://cryptogeek.info/en. In my opinion, on your exchange, the most important advantage is anonymity.

Re: Litecoin Wallet Recommendation?
by

on 05/05/2022, 08:12:08 UTC
Why don't you want to store your litecoins on cryptocurrency exchanges? Now it is not clear where it is better to store cryptocurrency, some exchanges provide better protection than many wallets. I can also leave a link to a review of the litecoin core wallet that I used several times.
https://cryptogeek.info/en/wallets/litecoin-core-wallet/chat
It is not safe. On cryptocurrency exchanges, you do not have private keys. Without private keys, you will not be able to fully control your funds.

I think that with the help of dogecoin you can earn a lot of money. You need to buy a large amount of this coin and wait for the pump, and memcoins always have a pump. If you are interested, then here you can read about where you can buy dogecoin.

Re: My Trading Strategy

What do you think of these strategies https://cryptogeek.info/en/blog/5-crypto-investment-strategies? Does it make sense to use at least one of this list? Or is this article just for attention?
Cost averaging make sense to me, it allows you to buy more and increase your holdings while minimizing the cost so I think this article is fine, though of course you still need to evaluate it.

Creating strategy is very critical, it can affect your whole system so better to have one always and I agree that there’s no perfect strategy, it will still depend on the market situation and on how you execute your trading.
I buy cryptocurrency every month and plan to keep it until 2030. Can this be called a strategy?)

It might be a reckless decision of yours. There's the Shiba Inu meme coin, you should've just stayed there if you really want a meme coin in your wallet.
Or rather stay with the original which is Doge. You risked way too high even for a small amount of money. It may just cost you what?, $10 - 30 but that is still money that could've been invested with something else.
I don't like how they are copying every hype and investors biting at it. But as we always say here, it's your decision, it's your money. If you didn't research then it's your regret at the end of the day. Good luck.
I understand that I can lose my 2 MATIC, but I can afford to lose this money, it's not that expensive. I want to try to wait for the official sale on the exchanges and sell these coins at least 2 times more expensive.

I learned about NEXTSHIB from this review.
I just bought 1 million coins, but I don't know if I made the right decision...

You already said it yourself, it's a meme coin, so we all know that it doesn't have a use case whatsoever, but just for pump and dump used.

1 millions coins? how much it cost you though? I didn't check on the attachment that you link but it seems it could have been billions in circulation?

So it will have a hard time going up as far as the price goes.
1 million coins = 2.3 MATIC. I thought that it is not expensive and maybe I can do x5.
