Re: PhoenixMiner 5.7b: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux)
by

The  new  version  is  finally  ready.  You  can  download  PhoenixMiner  5.8a  from  here:

PhoenixMiner_5.8a_Windows.zip Github
PhoenixMiner_5.8a_Linux.tar.gz Github

Changes in version 5.8a :
  • LHR disable mode -lhrdis <n>  1 - yes (default), 0 - no
  • Added lock core clock
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RTX 3060/3080/3090 cards
  • Implemented new "turbo" kernels (-clkernel 3) for AMD Polaris cards that can work with the current DAG sizes over 4 GB. Note that -clkernel 3 uses double the VRAM and will
provide slightly faster hashrate with slightly higher power consumption. You can use the -rvram command-line parameter to specify how much VRAM to be left unused
  • Increased the maximum supported DAG epoch to 600 (i.e. until about Sep 2023)
  • Implemented full hardware control for AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux. Note that with these cards under Linux you need to specify relative core voltage: e.g. -
cclock -50 will set the core voltage to be 50 mV under the default value
  • Added ROCr kernels for Vega, Radeon VII and Navi cards. With these kernels you will be able to run these cards with Linux drivers 20.45 and later but the performance will
be lower than with the older PAL drivers and kernels. We recommend using AMD Linux driver 20.30 for all cards except RX6900/6800/6700
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux (there is no need to run these cards with -clkernel 0 anymore)
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers up to 21.8.1. Note that Radeon VII cards will not work with drivers 21.6.1 or higher - you need to use older drivers for proper
    operation of these cards
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers up to 21.20 (use older drivers for Vega or Radeon VII cards as they will not work with 21.20). Note that the latest 21.30 drivers are
not supported (and the initial testing shows that even the older Polars cards are not working properly with them, so avoid 21.30 for now)
  • Numerous other fixes and small improvements

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.8a

I agree with some comments, this should be addressed. one of the bigest exchanges out there so imagine how much money is stuck in it. And many will follow the conspiracy theory, they are keeping all the cryptos for themselves...

Create an ICO to fund a DAO for investment opportunities(ICOs, trading)
by
freemanjackal
on 01/03/2018, 01:46:48 UTC
I am thinking in  creating a DAO for investment purposes. All the funds allocated in the DAO will be used initially to invest in ICOs. All the money(profits) will be redistributed among the token holders, and the base fund would return to the DAO for future investments. Profits are greater when it is invested in higher amounts of money(losses too of course), so it could be very profitable for all the token holders. In hte future it could even make some investment in trading further analysis and risks taken into account. And So many other investment opportunities could arise through the proposals. I think it could be a great opporunity.

What do you think about it??

OK, I'll do those momentarily.

Done. JAR and source.

If this program helps you then feel free to donate to the address under my profile info but do not feel obligated in any way to do so.

Why anyone would put a link to their source code as a mega download is a huge red flag. Why not just post it on pastebin or github? I'd advise everyone not to click on those links.

You're right; I'll repost it on Github later today. Pastebin is out of the question due to multiple files being involved (IDEA form files, Java source, maven configuration)

Edit: Source is now at https://github.com/hexafraction/btc-address-checker. Thanks for the heads-up.
the import option, what kind of file can be imported? .txt,  .csv??

Hey! Started following this guide and halfway through realised that it references files that don't exist. I'm presuming this is because this post is a few years old now.

I haven't managed to find an updated guide - anyone know where to find one? I noticed the comment above to a post on dillingers.com but would love to continue with Litecoin since I've already started if at all possible.

Many thanks for any help or pointers.

it doesn't matter if it is btc or ltc, what you have to change is the same in both

Re: Two dimensional Cryptographic Currency looking for motivated Co-developer
by
freemanjackal
on 04/10/2017, 03:17:19 UTC
i am currently working on a 2 dimensional Cryptocurrency, it is not coins in economic reality but sources giving it a really nice and appealing two dimensional high quality Character, an additional dimension enhances the currency a lot. more stable more sustainable more secure, more independant and etc. i am myself am not even aware of all benefits of designing a currency this way since its quite new, and no one did that approach before.

transaction is not about one dimensional values but about two dimensional stable sources or value generating sources.

i am quite confinced of this project and am working since a while on it.

what i could use are designers and coders, web and blockchain(phyton) also for pictures (photoshop) and videos

later also marketeers, i prefer a decentral team globally distributed it helps secure this startup

PN me if you are interested.
what are the basics of a two dimensional Cryptocurrency??

Re: Looking for a simple API for receiving Bitcoin
by

Why don't you use a simple python script to derive addresses from an xpub?
Just create a new wallet with an SPV wallet like electrum or a ledger, export the xpub, move it to your server, then just derive a new address for each customer.

This way you won't rely on a thirth party, and you have full controll over everything that happens, while still having maximum security (since your xprv will never touch a webserver)
i was going to suggest a node or light wallet, but this is best...

Re: What is the most important in a cryptocurrency project?
by
freemanjackal
on 04/10/2017, 02:52:25 UTC
Hello all,
What is according to you more important in a cryptocurrency project between the idea and the team?
Would you invest in a project if there are only 3-5 persons or would you rather trust a big team?

I have those questions in mind when comparing other projects such as Yahoo or Snapshat. They were a small group at the beginning and grew over time.

The most important thing for me is to set realistic goals. When I see that some group of people with no background promise to revolutionize and disrupt some big industry and connect billions of people, it sounds extremely suspicious. Also it's important to explain in depth how your project will work and why it is good, rather than just spamming buzzwords like decentralized, distributed, blockchain, tokenize and so on. And in the best case scenario you would have some working prototype to present before potential investors to prove that you are able to deliver your project.
agree, there are a lot of projects promising the world, just bullshit...

I am building new genes and hashes in debug.log. I found it on google after hours of searching before I decided if I could not do that without a tutorial it just did not make one. Remember that before you start the tutorial. have connected xxx to the network, and say it loads block 0 of 19311 blocks in the chain. This means it's still somehow trying to load the blackchannel blockchain
indeed, need to find it and delete it or replace it...

Hello,

I am new to the sphere of CryptoCurrency.

My understanding is that the guide is around the Windows system.

Can you direct me to a similar guide for setting it all up on a Linux system(Fedora)?

Gratitude
the steps for what you need to change is the same , it has just different system requirements. dependenign n what crypto do you wanna try  you can find some documentation about it... generally provided by the same crypto of how to compile the currency

Never trust a man with "enlarge your penis" in his signature.

hahaha, do you need posts to reach your weekly signature campaign  to earn some pennies Huh... at least post something usefull man, good luck in the signature campaign...
