Re: GAWMiner Hashlet Discussion Thread

Multihaslet, maybe brown, i guess!!!!!
you cannot change the pool of a Hashlet Solo, it sticks with the pool you bought it for, in your case Multipool Wafflepool (is the brown one)

What happens if the operator of Wafflepool shuts down the site?  I didn't really understand the price increase just for the ability to switch pools or stay on one pool.

Did GAW make deals with the pool operators?  Like Clevermining and Wafflepool?  It hasn't made sense to mine SCRYPT on Wafflepool in a long time, or am I missing something?

Most people are accepting that they are being pointed at the "Zenpool" and getting payouts; but if they are buying the WaffleHashlet then it's mining on the Wafflepool as SCRYPT?  Which is currently showing 75% profitability vs LTC?

If a pool shuts down what happens to your miner pointed at it?  I'm sorry if this has been answered somewhere, I haven't seen it.

I've done some digging around about f2pool since I have some miners on it.  It looks like it is a mining pool associated with the SilverFish SCRYPT ASIC hardware maker.

If you go to the Silverfish website, https://sfminer.com/

Translate the website to English, then click on the Whitebait SOLO mine pool which takes you to http://sfasic.com/

From there, it links you to the f2pool website and the ptspool website.  The ptspool website also links back to f2pool from a link called "Go to Other Mineral Pools"

I would conclude that f2pool is likely being run by Silverfish; but I could be wrong.

Edit.  Or I could go back and read the first post on their thread, sorry I read too fast sometimes. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=700411.msg7915080#msg7915080

Charts are back up  and they predict a very small jump.

http://www.bitcoincharts.com

Difficulty   27428630902
Estimated   27924069456 in 1487 blks
that is about 1.81%

 A big contrast with

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

Bitcoin Difficulty:           27,428,630,902
Estimated Next Difficulty:   31,695,344,824 (+15.56%)

most likely we will be at  6-9% but 3-5% would be better.

Every two weeks I die a little inside.

I have a SCRYPT ASIC on Discus Fish.  Will this pool be merge mining DOGECOIN and autoconverting it into LTC when they have switched over?  I'd love to start getting extra LTC.

Looks like batch 5 just sold out.

Batch 1 sold out in hours.
Batch 2 also sold out in hours.
Batch 3 sold out in less than a day.
Batch 4 sold out in about a day, maybe slightly more
Batch 5 finally sold out tonight, after being open for what, a couple of weeks?

Point being is the market saturated?

+1...

Batch 6 will be the last ...IMHO...

After that selling from stock...48 hours mode ...I hope...

Lower price is expected to follow... Wink

ZiG

How close do you think it is until Bitmain packages 2 Antminer S3's into one box with a PSU and screen like the S2?  I bet that is likely what will be happening shortly for the S4.

Time to get back to topic!  Grin

Source: As per photos:

The Zhao approximately 1,500 square meters of mines, mining machine deployed about four per square meter, power consumption 4KW, combined computing power of the entire site about 500TH/s, the new count is about to force on-line about 800Th/s

Oh wow! Very legit setup!

Hey Benny,

I received my 8 Antminer S3's from you today.  They are all currently up and hashing!  One of them had a damaged fan, but I unscrewed and loosened the grill and it appears to be working just fine now.  Thanks Benny! I appreciate all your hard work!

I still haven't received my 7.7% BTC refund.  Has anyone else received theirs yet?  Come on Bitmaintech, you expect payment for orders within an hour but when it comes to a small refund we have to wait weeks.  BTC is supposed to be instant.

I have not received mine either.

Just received my 7.7% refund, transaction is still pending.

Yerp,  Just got mine!

Who gives a shit about current price? 100$ up or down...makes no sense. With increase of new people in bitcoin price will rise. Supply of bitcoin is limited, just wait for few years, you will see that this price is bargain. I just know that I am not selling mine below 10k$ each.

Yea, that's why I stopped day trading and just see low prices as good times to accumulate more for the future.  This is just more BTC for me on my daily buy.

Just flashed my two S3's with the new firmware.  No more beeping!  The fiancee will be most pleased!

Re: What is the best pool?

If you have Antminer S3's; I think your best luck would be with finding your nearest P2Pool node and mining there.  I'm currently mining P2pool on Coincadence.  The operator is active on these boards if there are any issues.  The thing to remember about P2pool is that it takes a long time to start getting payouts to discourage pool hopping.

Otherwise, BTCguild seems good.

I have my R-Boxes on f2pool for now to see how it does.

Big thanks to Bitmain!

Just wanted to thank Bitmain for keeping their promise and ensuring that the S3 is compatible with p2pool.

I've had 4x stock S3's hashing on p2pool for ~24 hours and have been achieving the expected hash rate.

You can see the 4 miners stats here: http://minefast.coincadence.com/miner.php?id=19vXrwKGUhK4cCU8tA4kWZgbChcmh9a6qj

Nice work Bitmain! Smiley

I've got my 2x stock S3's hashing with you!  Once I get my 8 from Benny, I'll be adding those! Smiley

I've got my 2 S3's!

Can I run 2 of them off of one Seasonic 860 Plat?

Also, I guess I only need to plug in 2 PCI-E on each side?

I've got mine currently pointed at coincadence with all my little r-boxes.  p2pool!

sure, its good too with seasonic 860w
and, u need to plug 1 on each side... no need to plug all 4 slot of PCI-E on S3
so 2 pcie for 1 S3

s3 already compatible with p2pool???

I went ahead and moved both miners to one Seasonic 860Watt Plat PSU and just plugged in 2 PCI-E's like you said

yea, I have mine pointed at a p2pool (coincadence) and it looks like it's working.  I just turned the miner back on after switching out the PSU's in this shot.

Reports for S3s on p2pool are so far very encouraging, expected hash rate being met and very low HW errors, nice work Bitmain!

Glad to have you on my node, If you have any problems or questions don't hesitate to ask Smiley

It's hard to see in your pic, but I think you have what you want. You want a dedicated PCIe cable to each blade (2 blades per miner), so for 2 miners, that's 4 PCIe cables, should not be a problem to run both off the 860Watt PSU.

Oooooo, super cool that you posted to say hi! Thank you very much for setting up the node!  I appreciate your hard work!
