Still better to be safe than sorry. We don't know what it has in store since it could inject some copy + paste exploit for Bitcoin addresses.

Also there's no publicly reported info on that malware.
100% agreed. The hdd is already formated.

Thanks for helping, UserU.

I have done the same mistake weeks ago
It creates a back door to your PC

Your PC can be accessed remotely without noticing it
Only solution re-install Windows
Nothing else if you want to be sure !!!

I re-installed the windows here to.
Thanks!

Where did you download it from? I downloaded it from the scam .org website. I formatted the pc for weeks now, but I'm still scared.
From this thread. Megaupload link.

I think unless you had private keys on that pc there's no need to worry.
I've 2FA in almost everything nowadays and after all I did some password refresh just to have some peace of mind.

Guys, that 5.5d version was a fake one? I just realised that I mess up.

Should I worry about that?

Yup, those malware bots spam these threads regularly hoping unsuspecting victims would download their software.

You ran the files? Better disconnect your PC, run a virus scan and clear any traces of those things. Also, change your passwords if you logged in after the infection (that is after the cleanup).
Yes, I ran the start. And then It tried to install something and had access denied.
:S

Have nothing to fancy on this pc btw.  Is a W10 updated and KIS (no notifications, even scanning the files)
