Hello. Got question.
Does anyone tested sata 007 risers with rx470/80 cards?
like those
https://b.allegroimg.com/original/01003b/372658cb452fbd5a6cc6ae919dab

im talking about sata smelting problem
will it handle with brand psu connector/cable?

never use any sata or sata converter for GPU, go for PCIE riser with 6-pin powered,
ver007 with sata powerr is worst riser of any versions

https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41tyoL2TQUL.jpg

where do you get those?

is this it ? https://www.amazon.com/Deep-Mines-6-Pin-Powered-Express/dp/B06XCCRFD6/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8&qid=1491442306&sr=8-19&keywords=pci+riser

I could never get the command line to work properly.

I tried this

Quote
cd\
cd watttool

start WattTool-0.7.exe voffset(0)=-16
ping 8.8.8.8
start WattTool-0.7.exe voffset(6)=-16
ping 8.8.8.8
start WattTool-0.7.exe voffset(12)=-16
ping 8.8.8.8
start WattTool-0.7.exe voffset(18)=-16
ping 8.8.8.8
start WattTool-0.7.exe voffset(24)=-16
ping 8.8.8.8
start WattTool-0.7.exe voffset(30)=-16
pause

Doesn't work. Just loads the program

that looks wrong to me

i create multuplie empty profiles first then set them the way a want , save them then i run the tool
Code:
start WattTool-0.91.exe profile1.ini profile2.ini profile3.ini profile4.ini profile5.ini profile6.ini

sample profile

Code:

Marvell, what values would you recommend me to use for a rig running 6 Rx480 8GB ( 3 asus strixx and 3 msi ) on a Evga 1200w P2, PSU.

i have downloaded Wattool it looks very simple to use.

thanks for the input guys im learning everyday.

the title says it all guys, how do i undervolt my rx480s. i am currently running 4 rx480s in one rig with an EVGA 1200P2 SuperNova.

in the coming days ill be getting 2 more RX480 gpus

ive been reading in the forum that it is safer to undervolt the cards for it to work well with the PSU im using.

does undervolting decrease the performance of the mining power of the card?

any help is much appreciated.

im looking forward to build more mining rigs, would you rather recommend using 2 psus for one rig of 6 rx480s. If thats the case which psu would you advise me to get.

First rig .  Learn to use simplemining os

Watt man is not worth while if you insist on using windows use MSI afterburner.

Don't use two psus for your rig
Look at my Mining thread here .

I have three threads started last April 2017

If you Will take time to read the three threads you will  learn a lot

Thanks for the input, will be testing simplemining os

I see u tried to link the thread. Theres no link

Thanks

does the EVGA Supernova 1200p2 support - 6 rx480.

i have one rig with a 1200p2 running with 4 gpus. 2 more gpus are on the way.

do any of you guys have an EVGA 1200p2 running with 6 rx 480?

thanks

Yes it supports running 6 gpu but you should undervolt your gpus. I'm using Sapphire Nitro RX 480 models and each gpu pulls around 130 watts after using a modded bios and undervolt.

Is there any guide online i can find that will help me to do that.

In future rigs i guess 2 psus would be a better option

Which psu do you recommend for a 2 psu mining rig.

Thanks

Re: 5 or 6 GPU Motherboard Alternative to H81 BTC Pro and ASROCK Anniversary Edition

ASUS PRIME H270-PLUS 109$
MSI H270 TOMAHAWK ARCTIC 125$
ASROCK H270 PRO4 112$

both 1151 socket & 6 PCIe 3 slots (same Offer as Biostar which should be much cheaper), reference price from AMZ

Gonna be hard to drive 6 GPUs from 5 PCIe slots.

Please only recommend boards you know work.

For instance I have a board with 7 PCIe slots and 2 m.2 slots that theoretically could drive 9 GPUs.

Realistically it can only drive 4.

First you cant populate any M.2 with NVMe w/o account for PCIe lines (and PCIe slots), you should use M.2 Sata SSD.

Whatever nobody who want to earn money will put nothing more than a cheap usb3 16gb flashdrive on it, so discard the M.2 interference.
You should setup PCIe to PCIe v2.0 in bios.

Specifications for Asrock H270 Pro4 are wrong at amazon.

but these are verified:

ASUS Prime H270-Plus
>>> 6 PCIe slots: 1:x16 1:x4(x16 slot) 4:x1
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/PRIME-H270-PLUS/specifications/

MSI H270 TOMAHAWK ARCTIC
>>> 6 PCIe slots  3:x16 3:x1
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/H270-TOMAHAWK-ARCTIC.html#productSpecification-section

All based the on Intel H270, better chipset than as Biostar's TB250 H250.

However, I suggest caution to invest on these MoBos as soon will be available cheap PCIe Switches for 8+ GPUs from at least two vendors, one of these seems is regular to bitcointalk.

First of all I would like to thank you since these boards look awesome
ASUS PRIME H270-PLUS
MSI H270 TOMAHAWK ARCTIC

I am leaning towards Asus but MSi is a good option too.

Are you positive that all 6 pci-e slots can be used with these boards?

Im asking my self the same question, will the msi support
6 gpus, has anyone got them running using the same motherboard mentioned above.

Thanks
