Some people will cry again in a few months when the price goes up again , so the hodlers might cry now, but they will have the last laugh.
I laughed at $19 000, because I took 50% profit when it was on the ATH and I will laugh again when we blast past that. Making more than 800% profit in 2017, was just the cherry on the cake and a huge reward for hoarding coins when other people panicked.

Low volatility doesn't mean stable. Bitcoin has experienced periods of low volatility many times, however this doesn't mean bitcoin is stable, not even close. We all know it doesn't take much for bitcoin to explode, either up or down. That's absolutely still in the cards, I mean everyone is waiting for the next bull run and some people are waiting for a big crash.

People have rubbished the idea behind cryptocurrency, why would anyone need a card to carry cryptocurrencies, when you have mobile wallets! A lot of these new projects integrating cards into their projects, aren't even seeing the satoshi dream, cards are some of the things crypto seems to bypass, and now people are making a mockery of the crypto idea. Why do I need a piece of worthless plastic, when transactions can be wallet to wallet!
You just forgot that grandma or grandpa couldn't use mobile wallet. Their generation only trust cash over everything.

PoW & PoS pada dasarnya adalah algoritma konsensus, yaitu bagaimana cara node-node di network meraih sebuah kepastian secara terdistribusi terhadap record yang ada di blockchain.
Analogikan ekosistem crypto sebagai sebuah kelas yang berisi banyak siswa yang saling bertransaksi satu sama lain.
Di kelas tersebut, seluruh transaksi dicatat ke dalam sebuah ledger/catatan yang terdistribusi (distributed ledger) dan terdesentralisasi.
Seiring waktu berjalan, terjadi transaksi dalam kelas tersebut.
Nah, sekarang muncul pertanyaan, siapa yang punya hak untuk mencatat transaksi tersebut ke dalam ledger?
Proof-of-Work
Di proof-of-work, miner, yang dalam analogi ini adalah siapapun siswa di kelas itu yang ingin berpartisipasi dalam pencatatan transaksi di ledger.
Para siswa itu diberikan teka-teki matematika yang sulit. Siapapun siswa yang mampu menjawab paling cepat, dialah yang berhak mencatat transaksi yang telah terjadi ke dalam ledger. Sebagai insentif/imbalan, siswa tersebut diberikan uang baru. Uang baru inilah yang dinamakan mining reward dalam kasus bitcoin gan.
Dalam kasus miner, siapa yang punya hashrate & computing power paling gede, dialah yang paling cepat mengerjakan puzzle matematika tadi.
Dalam analogi siswa, siapa yang punya otak paling encer hehe.
Kenapa namanya Proof-of-Work, ya karena mereka harus kerja dulu (red:ngerjain teka-teki matematika), baru punya hak mencatat transaksi ke ledger dan dapet reward berupa coin baru.
Proof-of-Stake
Para siswa yang berniat ingin berpartisipasi dalam pencatatan transaksi di ledger, meletakkan coin yang dia miliki ke dalam sebuah kotak.
Kotak itu dikocok, kemudian diambil coin yang ada di dalam kotak itu secara acak.
Coin siapa yang terpilih, dialah yang punya hak mencatat transaksi ke dalam ledger dan mendapatkan imbalan.
Nah, logikanya siapa yang meletakkan coin paling banyak di kotak lah, yang kemungkinan paling sering dipilih.
Siapa yang nge-stake coin paling banyak, dialah yang paling banyak dapat imbalan atas keikutsertaannya dalam pencatatan transaksi di ledger.
Segitu dulu gan. Mudah2an gampang dipahami. Ini dibikin sesimpel2 nya gan. Aslinya mah sangat2 ribet. Mungkin ada beberapa aspek yang terlalu disimplifikasi. Tapi for the sake of learning and understanding, ga papa lah.

Blokchain memang sudah terbukti sangat sistem yang tangguh tapi bukan berarti tidak ada kekurangan nya gan,tambahan dari ane walaupun sistem blokchain sangat bagus untuk di gunakan tapi sistem blokchain sangat rentan terjadi nya hack
melihat fenomena akhir akhir ini ada banyak kasus bobolnya exchange yang mencuat kepermukaan,mengidentifikasi bahwa sistem blockchain juga basih bisa di bobol,memang kemajuan ilmu dan tehnologi tetaplah memiliki celah untuk dapat dimanipulasi,namun beranjak dari historis pastilah setiap blockchain dari generasi ke genarasi pasti memiliki peningkatan penyempurnaan kekurangan, dewasa ini blokchain kedua sangat banyak digunakan terutama dengan adanya semart contrak sebagai perbedaan,saya yakin blockchain generasi ketiga nantinya bakal menutupi kekurangan yang terdapat pada blockchain pertama dan kedua,sehingga dapat meminimalisir kekurangan dan menghambat aktifitas para hakers.Bobolnya exchange bukan berarti blockchainnya kena hack gan. Hack terjadi hanya di level wallet, dengan kata lain si hacker berhasil mencuri private key wallet si exchanger. Bukan berarti si hacker berhasil merubah data yang ada di blockchainnya.
Mengenai blockchain generasi ketiga, setahu ane bakal ada peningkatan di sisi scalability, interoperability, dan sustainability.
Trus juga bakal ada peningkatan security dari smart contract sehingga kejadian kayak DAO hack dan parity wallet, dimana ada eksploitasi lubang di smart contract, ga bakal terjadi lagi.

I ended up that I need to pay high fees to send my coin as it takes much more storage.
One of my friend tell me that I need to send my coin into myself. If so, do I still need to pay the fee?

Dulu juga pernah ada issue tentang coinmarketcap yang mempromosikan atau advertising projek scam seperti ico atau koin scam
Yang paling keliatan itu iklan Bitconnect gan. Dulu tiap buka CMC pasti ada.
Padahal udah jelas2 scam. Kayaknya mereka memang hanya peduli duit. Saatnya beralih ke situs lain yang menawarkan hal yang serupa.

menurut saya jika suplai bitcoin memang sudah mencapai 21jt dan habis tentu hal ini sangatkah bagus gan artinya kan berarti harga bitcoin akan semakin naik dan meroket..
Untuk harga mungkin bagus tapi coba kita bicara dalam sisi yang lain.
Jika supply bitcoin sudah mencapai (maximum supply) 21jt bitcoin berarti miner sudah tidak bisa menambang lagi bukan ? lalu yang support network bitcoin siapa ? yang saya tahu miner itu mempercepat konfirmasi dari transaksi bitcoin. jika miner sudah tidak ada berarti transaksi bitcoin akan lemot dong ?
Saya masih kurang paham gan,kalau suplay bitcoin habis akan membuat harga bitcoin semakin tinggi,kedengarannya sangat bagus gan,tapi miner tidak bisa menambang lagi karena stoknya habis dan akan membuat transaksi bitcoin jadi lemot,artinya akan berdampak buruk pada transaksi bitcoin.mohon pencerahannya.
Ya kalo ini sih menurut perkiraan saya saja gan, andaikata bitcoin sudah tidak bisa di mining (Block reward 0) berarti miner hanya mengandalkan reward dari fee. sedangkan fee dalam satu transaksi saja tidak sampai 1 BTC dan yang menambang ada ribuan bahkan sampai jutaan orang. Pasti banyak miner yg berhenti menambang bitcoin dah beralih ke coin lain berarti semakin sedikit yang support network bitcoin (kemungkinan transaksi bitcoin akan menjadi lebih lambat). Jika perkiraan saya benar, dari sisi mananya yang membuat bitcoin harganya bakalan naik kalo dari networknya saja lambat ?
FYI, kabarnya sudah ada proposal mengenai struktur fee baru, ketika supply sudah habis, untuk tetap menunjang network dan memberikan miner insentif lebih agar tidak beralih ke yang lain gan.

Login pin via SMS auth which never arrive, pin via email arrived after 1.5 hours!
I think I'll deactivate all the security setting for now. It will get you a headache.

It maybe some glitch for a while. I received ton of email because I tried resent the pin over and over again.
And that emails arrive 1.5 hours after I tried to login and the method has changed to sms and it was too late to enter the pin.
One thing that annoy me that they change it to sms instantly after I contact them, and then when I ask to revert back to email method, they don't respond until now.
So, I am stuck at the moment...
