[WTS] Domain Sale! BitWebEx.com! Taking best offer!
by

Hello all!

I bought http://BitWebEx.com/ a while back in hopes of (ironically) making a domain marketplace exclusively for selling bitcoin related domains.

I never found the time to complete the project, and now I'm sitting on this domain I'll realistically never use. So, I figure what better than to sell it!

Could be used for an online marketplace, or perhaps as a very SEO friendly exchange (Bitcoin Web Exchange).

I will consider all offers. Domain will go to highest bidder of course!

Escrow required.

Mine was generated by Xbox Live years ago, and it's just become such a personal identifier for me, it's like a second name.

I'm a developer currently working on a domain exchange where users can buy/sell domains for BTC.
If you'd like to see the progress thus far, here's a link
http://bitwebex.com/

Note to all: Please do not attempt to make listings currently. I'm adding features near every day, and have to purge the database routinely.

Thanks!

It depends on the relative price and difficulty of BTC and LTC. I haven't mined LTC yet so I don't know if the mining rate corresponds to the difference in market value. I'm planning to try it and see if it's worth mining LTC or mine BTC and sell for LTC.

If mining really becomes unprofitable, perhaps move to folding.

When my friend told me about folding I felt guilty for using hardware to mine coins that could be used to cure disease. Definitely interesting though. :/

it would have been nice if there was some way to combine the two

Folding with a BTC payout? Tongue

We can make a new altcoin called science coin!

I quite like that idea. We're gonna go far!

Re: Watch out for BitcoinPride!

I ordered from BitcoinPride, a t-shirt store owned by our very own FlipPro, a couple weeks ago and have yet to receive the "confirmation email" that I was supposed to within 24-48 hours.
After trying to call their phone listed on the website (which only tells you to enter an extension, without any indication of what extension I should enter) as well as emailing the owner of the domain, still no response.
Then I made a post on reddit. If you're interested see here
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1cmkjq/scam_alert_bitcoinpridecom/

After other people described their troubles, the reddit account "BitcoinPride" shows up and claims it was just "server errors" and we should be getting a call/email in the next 24-72 hours.
Still nothing.

Hey Fussy we just migrated our business server after having severe technical issues during our record week (site should be back up now)... It has been a nightmare. We have all the orders, and already have a few shipped. We should be sending out rest of the tracking numbers within the next 24-48 hours, and make us current on all outstanding orders. This is the first and last time we will fall behind on orders, and are already rectifying the several points of failure that we experienced over the last few weeks. We simply weren't ready for the level of volume/attention that was brought on by the Reddit ad and Bloomberg TV plug.

Again my sincerest apologies for all the delays, and lack of communication.

-Flip

P.S Fussy if you want send me a PM and we can discuss this. We no longer have the 1800 listed on our site, as it was referring people to a message box instead of our office phone. We are looking for a solution with that, in the mean time we will be implementing a support ticket solution in case we miss anyone. I will be announcing more of this on the forum in the hours/days to come.

Flip,

Thank you for responding, I saw your reply on reddit, and responded to that as well. I'm not going to say the same thing here as to not be redundant. I understand server issues, I deal with them at work on a daily basis. Provided my shirt shows up, is in tact, good quality, etc. I'll order again soon; I do really like the shirts!

I don't have respect for people in it for the money, but I do have respect for people who will communicate with their users, and at least make some attempt to diffuse anger, which you have done. Thanks for that! Again, my only wish is that you had posted on your social media outlets about this. It would be better to know the servers are having issues before ordering instead of ordering and then finding out!

Thanks,
Fussy

I worked with BitMinter for a while, and this is just a bug. Try running the beta client if you're not, or running the regular client if you are running the beta.
Alternatively you could post in their newbie thread

I've tried mining litecoin, but ran into a few issues with Scrypt, so I gave up for the time being. I might try again considering I have my gaming rig just lying dormant at the moment. Does anyone have tips on getting Scrypt up and running/links to a thread?

Hi my name is fussy...
In all seriousness though, I work as a web developer professionally and am starting a couple bitcoin-related websites, but I'm not going to go into too much detail, as they're not quite ready yet, and I don't think this is the appropriate place.
