Is anyone running the MN from a raspberry pi? Won't it get eventually overharmed for being turned on 24/7?
I run Masternode Pi's :-D
24/7 for a few months now
They are built to run 24/7 - hince, no power button :-D
It's not even warm to the touch
I have it in a 'case'
I'm not actually touching the board of course

My Pi 2B is running 24/7 for we'll over a year now. SD card still going strong without corruption. I do make an full image of it after a running update. If it corrupts I buy a new one and reflashed the image to that.

Congratulations on making another year, and the cheeky run in the past day or so. Could someone please answer a few questions for me.
Could transaction fees go towards something other than the miner / masternodes
What is the incentive for miners to keep mining if the reward keeps getting smaller, could they not get a better return mining elsewhere? What's keeping them mining dash?
is someone still doing masternode shares? I have 570 ish, it may as well get put to work until I have enough to host my own.
Aiming to be New Zealands first masternode, if I can still claim that.

In all seriousness, it may be worth it to see what kind of legal implications this would have, we don't want to be getting sued after the fact for something we overlooked.
It may be a good idea for starters to remove the images of the trademarked pop cans.
DGBB funds would be better spent on other things than legal fees.

Hey everyone, I'm preparing the next proposal for October and I'd like to get 3-5 people to run the QT client in the liquidity provider mode to support the network. The idea here is you need some amount between 100 and 1000 DASH available online and we'll pay about $50 worth of dash a month for supporting the network.

Since some people are saying v.53 is crashing sometimes, i made the 'mn_watch.sh' masternode restarting-script already here on this topic a bit more versatile. Instead of just restarting dashd it now spits out the time it crashed as well as the last 30 lines of debug.log to a file before restarting dashd.
Its kind of redoing whats already been done, but now it nice 'n compact without sifting trough the 10mb debug.log
1. The script is in my homedir where i keep all the stuff so its written as such. You may need to alter some paths if you keep your stuff elsewhere.
2. The script appends to the file crash.log, if not exist it is created.
3. the command 'date' spits out UTC time. Its possible to alter this to your own timezone. Do a google on it.
Im a noobish linux user so the script may appear wonky, but hey, it works, right?
Dont ask hard questions cuz i may not be able to answer them

Awesome thanks, just got done reading TAO's Masternode guide in search of a site like this.
I just bought my first 260 Dash!
Look forward to being able to get the 1000 DASH I need to set one of these up...I like the fact that you can keep a Masternode hosted with your PC wallet offline.
