WOW. I was looking at the Verge orderbook on Bittrex and noticed something very unusual. After 400 satoshis, the orderbook is mostly empty. I saw one sell order at 20,000 satoshis. After that, nothing.
OK, as I am writing this, I am seeing a few orders fill in, at 500, 800, 1000 and a few other price points. Guys, if someone came in right now with 1000 BTC, and bought everything, that would put the price at 1000 Satoshis. If the orderbook stays as empty as it is right now, the sky is the limit to the price of this coin ! ! !

You are right in seeing that right now. I think as it gets closer to the 300 sat price you will start to see it more and more pop up more sell orders because some would like to take some profits. But yes if 1000 came in right now at 1 time it would be over 1000 Sat and quick!! Not sure that can happen as stated before they will keep putting in sell orders close to the price, but if it did that would be pretty epic. Overall this is just going to keep going, sure you will have your dips and bounces, but I think the topside wins and it keeps going for sure!! Exciting times ahead for Verge. It is finally getting the following it deserves. As you can see some big money is being invested so that's great news. And take a look now #1 in volume on https://bittrex.com/home/markets!! Verge market movement was in hibernation for a while however Giant is awaken,when RSK smart contract is implemented verge will ROARRRR
ROAARR i'm ready. What is your speculation what the price would be once RSK contracts have been implented.
My personal gut feeling is 1K would not be out of the question. After the run crypto has been having I could be spot on or way under, but I think with will come close in the next 1-2 years. Maybe in the next few months if RSK works out.
That's a big number you're saying. Also RSK get implented soon and you're talking about 1-2years?
It all depends on adoption. But RSK gives more people a reason to use VERGE. It also depends on how the RSK roll out goes. Once that happens I would expect prices to go up some. How much is any ones guess. But new higher price floors are occurring all of the time. A lot of old timers here thought 10-20 sat was an unsustainable price, but we've been over 30 sats for 10 days. Will it stay above. I have no idea, but the odds are better now then a year ago.
Also 1K wouldn't be solely because verge implemented RSK. It would be based on the whole Verge package. Also based on a lot of "new" money coming into crypto and needing a place to go. I think your going to see all prices grow in the coming few years.

So last night's surge gobbled up the last of my XVG that isn't in cold storage. Even though I have a few mill left I'm just going to leave it cold.
So for now, I'm effectively out of XVG, and even though I may be on the sidelines I only hope it continues up. This coin has made me 10s of thousands over the last few years.
So if this is it for me, and it never comes back down, I still wish only the best for this coin. Great dev, great community.

Not sure why the increase and huge volume spike at this time, but we all know it deserves it!! Well done Dev. We, the community thank you for all your hard work. I have been here since the beginning (before even Verge days) and there hasn't been one moment where OUR Dev hasn't been updating and busting his @SS so kudos to you sir!! It is nice to see this volume spike, and would be even nicer to see it stick and grow to where we belong, on the top of Coinmarketcap!!

All right... so since a couple of weeks, I am a multivergillionaire
. It might sound strange, but until six weeks ago I did not even know that crypto currencies existed.
A friend told me about bitcoins going up, I started reading about crypto currencies, public ledgers and anonymity and then, on https://news.bitcoin.com/meet-top-3-coins-cryptocurrency-anonymity-race/ I read these comments on Verge:
- "Whatever ZCash is proposing VERGE is already at it. Dash and Monero even though on huge premium prices don't come close to the anonymity you've got with Verge."
- "This [Verge] is the only coin to have an electrum wallet that connects directly to i2p nodes. It's the only anonymous coin that exists today."
- "For those who want the real deal Verge is always there."
Honestly, that made me buy a lot of XVG without hesitation.
To be honest, I cannot believe how Verge basically went unnoticed last year while other privacy-centric currencies exploded. It is just so undervalued. I also believe that that is about to change: the world needs privacy-centric currencies more than ever and it deserves it. And it will find Verge to be the #1.
I do think however that we need to spread the word. As I said, a few remarks on a web page were enough for me to find Verge. Also lets be mature and polite. So lets not spam the Poloniex trollbox begging them to add XVG to their exchange, but just fill in the https://poloniex.com/coinRequest request form (once). There's no need to beg, Polo will want to list XVG when more people start buying/trading it.
For that to happen though, some more info would be nice. Like background info about the relatively large coin supply and its consequences. Comparisons to other currencies. A manual on how to use Verge in an anonymous way. An explanation on Verge vs masternodes/segwit/{other trending stuff} so people can learn and understand. A roadmap with upcoming functionality, planned releases...
I'm not sure I can personally contribute to any of those things, but following up on daggerpunt and chilly2k (other thread) I am willing to make a 1.000.000 XVG donation to get things started.
Finally: although it's good to see volumes and prices going up, this is not about the XVG value for our own profit. This is about delivering a high level of protection and privacy to a world that needs it.

Couldn't agree more well said!! This coin is the absolute best and I've been here since the beginning before it was verge!! Was a big voice back in the day with the new ticker symbol and it's great to see!! So happy to see all of your hard work paying off!! Keep it up and way to go dev. Action is what we wanted to see on this, now we just have to keep it going and keep getting the word out there!! Well done dev!!
Yikes just looked at the price and we have 3.44 BTC buy orders at 2 Sat and the sell has stacked up all the way to 9 BTC at 3 Sat. Looks like we are going to go below 2 Sats and back to 1. Wow didn't think this would happen. Really if this coin is the best like our dev says, we need to have someone on the marketing side get this out there. We won't move this price at all if there isn't any marketing behind this. We will stay at these levels until that happens and people actually know about this coin. And I mean the masses of people, not the 50-100 that do today. Dev maybe you should plan on giving away so coins to someone that would market it and take it to the masses. Set them up with some coins or something to have them get our coin out to the masses. Again as we have all said before, until this happens we won't move out of these levels. Crazy and we need some to take a hold of this coin and idea and get it all over the place....just thoughts on what needs to be done to move this at all. The sell orders are getting way to big that it doesn't appear we will ever move even over 5 sat anytime again!! So sad 
OH Crap just as I suspected...Verge hit 1 Sat again. Looking week, no news, no marketing, no one knows the coin. The miners are just taking profits and looks like all support walls and exchanges are super low volume. Looking like we will go to a no bid again at this rate which means coin is worth 0. Yikes!! From being 70 Sat at one point back to nothing, very scary and sucks. From Dev and others it seemed like this coin could gain some steam and be a good one on the market but doesn't appear so anymore. Sad to see it come to this. 
The low prices on XVG are mostly related to the fact that the coin doesn't get much promotion at all, if any. The vast majority of people have no idea of what is going on with the coin and see it in the exchanges as just another coin. Until some serious promotion gets done and more people understand what the coin does and stands for you will continue to see these low prices.
Once awareness of the coin features and dev commitment starts to grow then the coin will see higher prices start to show up.
Doged/xvg was attacked by 51 network attack from Chinese mining farms when the algo was scrypt also there is 100s of active wallets/transactions....Once awareness of the coin features and dev commitment starts to grow then the coin will see higher prices start to show up.

We can't expect huge volume during BTC historic rallies. The fact that we have volume at all is impressive. I'm still trying to gather cheap coins for when BTC reverses though.
Doesn't appear to be doing anything since this huge reverse. I mean BTC when up huge and now dropped huge and nothing has happened with Verge. It has been some time since there was any activity on this coin which is sad because I thought this was going to be good moving forward, but it looks like all the luster has been gone since the name change and algo change. Sad to see at this time in digital coin industry. Just no on knows about it and no marketing is being done so until then expect it to be right here under 3 sat at all times. Looks like the only place to get it is on Bittrex and with the limited volume it doesn't appear to be going anywhere unless it goes down because the buy wall keeps getting smaller and smaller.

So do we not have a blockchain for verge anymore? https://www.blockexperts.com/xvg doesn't work anymore, says hosting has stopped. How are we now able to track transactions and see the min on the blocks for mining? Man super quiet and no updates either for days, where is all the big news that will bring this coin to increase?

Hey can you also send another update of your Signature copy please??Yeah careful with this all!! I tried it to give it a go with their new currency add Verge - XVG (The best coin on the market and is the REAL future) and it states after your deposit and 1 confirmation it will show up in the feed. I currently have 27 confirmations and still isn't showing so not a good start. I wrote them and they won't answer on the so called LIVE CHAT either!!
They are just like the last that paid for about a week and then stole everything and left, so be cautious!! If I happen to magically get paid I will keep you up to date to see if it comes true!!

We are at 6 Sat now, and only 1 BTC to go for 7 Sat. Anyone know why we are increasing now? Do we have news coming out or what? Would be nice to see our Volume get up into the 50 BTC area and beyond like it did when we hit 50 Sat!!

Is something happening or what?? Well, monero is going up,up due to darkmarket......I thought XVG is better. When's its turn?
Yes you would think so, but no one knows about XVG and everyone knows about Monero and beyond!!
In order to move these prices we need people to know who we are and if we are actually better? No one knows if we are better, but as of right now we aren't because they are the ones with the price rise while we stay put. Sad to see. Was hoping we would have a price rise, but until someone knows about us, it doesn't look like our price will ever move.
With BTC going down, buyers usually wake up. I'd be buying while BTC goes down so I don't lose all that BTC value. With Verge being so low already, its a easy buy right now.
Notice that BTC drops and so does Verge while other alts all rise. Not a good sign and it means no one is interested in Verge. Before everyone thinks that we dropped prices when BTC rose, but that was just the people leaving Verge and they don't seem to want to come back. Our Verge doesn't have any interest from anyone. We have gone quiet with no more updates from Dev, nothing new seems to be coming out and exchanges don't want to put it on their own sites. Not looking good at all!! Very sad as it seemed like this coin had so much potential, but has just died!!

ummm no one knows about Verge or what we are doing. Everything has gone quiet, no updates and no new big things pushing it up. No marketing, no excitement, no changes like we had in the past that got us to 50 Sat. Probably head back to 2 sat 1 sat and then no bid in the next few weeks and months as no one knows or is interested in this coin. That is a HUGE problem. Even exchanges I have reached out to have no clue.

We have no plans to list any additional coins in the immediate future
The volume of a coin plays a large part in any decision to list a coin -- and this has to be substantial
We constantly monitor the market but as of right now , no coin ( that we have not already listed) comes even close to matching our criteria
My response: Our page here and how we have been number 1 on Bittrex at times before with 500 BTC volume and that we are looking to grow with other exchanges, so we will see if they say anything back.

They now have ETC and it is cray cray, I wish we were able to get in front of more eyes to try and have our price move up a bit....my goodness we NEED TO GET ON THAT EXCHANGE, what can we do besides more emails. The emails don't seem to be working so does anyone else know what we can do? If we could get on there and get a sliver, maybe we could have a bump in price, but people need to know what we are doing here with this coin as well as many have never heard of us. Seems like we the community and Dev have been gone and silent for quite some time. The excitement for Verge seems to have been lost, we need to pick it back up!!
I Dont think we're gonna get on polo. I had high hopes for this coin. The dev used to post daily we had a big community always new exciting updates. Now we go days with no posts and nothing very exciting seems to be happening.i had followed it since it was dogecoindark but it just doesn't seem to be going anywhere.I agree completely. I had very high hopes, I kinda still do just because I own so many and hope this can get going again. It just doesn't seem like anyone cares much anymore to try and make this coin more visible. It doesn't appear that the things this coin provides is of any value to the cryptoworld as other shitter coins than this are way higher in value and no one knows why? Again, sad to see!! In the meantime I reached out to the support team at Polo to ask what we can do to get the coin added there and awaiting a response.
