Re: [ANN][ICO] Ziber —

Anyone else here went through the Dot Com bubble in 1999? It is the same thing.

all the hype and news surrounding bitcoins sound like they exactly did back in 1999 when pets.com stock was worth $600 per share.

Reminder - 60% of world population cannot access computer so Bitcoins will fail.

...compared to say u.s. dollar bills which you can hold in your hand or stuff in your mattress.

this is why bitcoins will not go mainstream because majority of human beings on this planet do not have access to a computer.

successful gold standards are things like toyota trucks, ak-47's, u.s. c-notes which thrive in places like afghanistan and africa.

Bitcoins does not serve any benefits to the human kind.
by
gabgab

doctors save lives, firemen make our homes safe, astronauts explore the outer space etc...

bitcoins do nothing except pushing numbers around to make the early adaptors rich.

Bitcoins is doomed to fail because everyone is hoarding, no one is spending.
by
gabgab
on 07/06/2011, 05:59:16 UTC
as we all know bitcoins' supply is finite, so everyone out of greed hoard the things. they don't spend it at all, like a currency is supposed to be used for and so it will never become mainstream.

porn.

the internet went mainstream only because of porn.

it is the most basic requirement if bitcoins were to have its place in the sun.

What is your favourite conspiracy theory involving Bitcoins?
by
gabgab
on 07/06/2011, 00:57:38 UTC
i seriously think Bitcoins was created by Osama Bin Laden as a revenege against the NSA for his death, aided by rogue Chinese spies working in Area 51 to deal a heavy blow to the Jews controlling the Federal Reserves of western societies. It is in conclusion a false-flag operation originating from the Bilderberg Group staffed by ex-CIA officers whose masterplan first started with killing JFK and wired WTC 7 with explosives, before telling their friends not to fly on 9/11.

You know what would bring about the destruction of Bitcoin? Underage pornography
by
gabgab
on 06/06/2011, 15:20:30 UTC
news of drug trade do not register on most people's mind, so when bitcoin is linked to that area most people just shrug their shoulders - they just think it is something that happens to other people.

but when something is linked to underage pornography, society gets very, very emotional (whether that is appropriate, is another debate).

sooner or later, if not already, bitcoins will be used by some people in the trade and making of underage pornography. and when that happens, expect bitcoins to be attacked with overwhelming forces by governments and law enforcements and lobby groups alike.

i think there are more bitcoin users who use android rather than iphone 4 - android seems more in line with the libertarian streak.

What is the average Bitcoin user like in the physical world?
by

i would say the average user is white, male, young, intellectual, introverted.

do you know any bitcoin user who is none of those?
