When and where would you be planning to list MTH on exchanges after the token sale?

Hi Monetha team, I have another question. When MTH token holders recieve their voucher in MTH tokens can this MTH voucher be exchanged on exchanges for other crypto currencies or can these vouchers only be used as spending on your partner merchant sites?

This sounds like Siacoin. Decentralised cloud storage where users can rent out their unused disk space for Siacoin tokens.

Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular?

If it had a more stable price I think it would be more readily be used for everyday transactions and therefore popularity would increase. Right now most people who buy Bitcoin are only looking at it as a speculation/investment vehicle.

If you didn't hold BTC before Aug 1st then you don't have BCC. If you did then you have both BTC and BCC (1:1) but there is liquidity issues at the moment so a lot of people still can;t sell BCC.

Investing in ransomware
by
galactica
on 03/08/2017, 00:18:31 UTC
According to various research reports including this one from Cybersecurity Ventures, global ransomware is growing at a fast rate (from $325 mil in 2015 to $5 bil in 2017 according to this report)

http://cybersecurityventures.com/ransomware-damage-report-2017-5-billion/

As most ransomware demand BTC payments and some major corporations stock up on BTC in anticipation of these attacks does anyone feel that they are indirectly investing in the ransomware industry?

Until people have the opportunity to dump their coins (or not) we can't really say what the relationship is.

Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency?
by
galactica

I don't think there will only be one crypto being used exclusively, it will consist of an ecosystem with multiple cryptos with competing features. BTC I belive is here to stay as it was the first and has that brand name recognition behind it (even though it may have inferior features compared to other cryptos in the market). If cryptos become mainstream the masses will start flocking to Bitcoin as really it is the only one they know about or heard about.

I read the whitepaper but didn't find any info on this so I would like to ask if the monetha payment system would accept other cryptos besides ether (BTC, LTC, etc)?

I just checked on coinmarketcap and they are doing great, I don't think they are just going to lose those hash power they are backed by big mining companies but let's see how it goes after a week or two, market still very volatile.

Never a dull moment in crypto land.

Re: Can bitcoin survive?
by
galactica
on 02/08/2017, 22:05:30 UTC
After there is a BCC can the bitcoin survive or bitcoin will be much more up the price after this
What do you think about this?

I don't think so, bitcoin cash is an altcoin which means there won't be much value to it. As some people stated the price of  bitcoin cash and bitcoin add up to around 3k. This might mean that when bitcoin falls, bitcoin cash will rise in price.

The problem with that is that bitcoin doesn't look like it's going to fall, especially after it went through these events. Now people have even more trust in bitcoin and prices are stable.
Probably right.Bitcoin at the present is much more capable and secured as compared before. So with this,it will truly survive through the tests of time.

So say we all

To me BTC is an investment. It has huge potential for capital growth and a currency which does not suffer from inflation and manipulation by central banks.

Re: Why does BCH have any market capital at all?
by
galactica
on 02/08/2017, 20:56:51 UTC
BCH (bitcoincash) is just a vapor and its price is not the real one because most of the bitcoincash is still outside the exchange platforms that have distributed BCH token internally.

Wait for few more days, BCH price can go way below $100.

Agreed, a lot of people still aren't able to access BCC from their wallets or exchanges yet. Once the people who want to dump have their opportunity to execute we'll start to see the true market price.
