Read back through this thread and you see just as much venom shown to other exchanges.

Its going to be interesting if gox does a Phoenix and price rebounds higher than ever.

Hello Wall Watchers, just to let you know I am still here too. But I am stuck on page 3462 and seem to be getting further behind each day I log on. Been fun watching the tone of the thread go from super hostile to amicable to over the moon and back again.

Have a great Bitcoin Christmas ( to those who celebrate ), and a great Bitcoin to those who don't.

Trust Me, This is the last chance for cheap coins. Buy Now.

Always sounds like a bunch of gangsters trying to talk up or down the price here. Just a few shining moments when Loaded makes an appearance and the odd sage words by a few others.

What about this article, seems to me, if you are touching bitcoins with your business in USA, are they implying you have to be registered as MSB?

Have made large profits recently trading against a user I've dubbed BrM2 on MtGox. Please dump again if you're reading this.

Does "BrM2" imply the trader may be brain dead?

BrM2 = Bearish Manipulator 2. May or may not be a single person, or even the same person. Its a signature of a large trade.

This trader/traders used to dump, and then place bids below in similar volumes to what was dumped. I placed bids slightly higher and eventually forced him to buy my ask.

I like to call these trades, "chomping the [smaller] whale"

This is my sign we are going up again... Thanks for making another guest appearance Loaded. You have lately been an indication we are going up a wee bit.

This is bitcoin...

Bitcoin price now is a bit like Martina Warren looks now, compared to the earlier pic by Sitarow. Still attractive, but not as much.

I succumbed to panic buy sell much earlier on when it started to climb. I have since learnt to be much more cautious and only trade a tiny fraction of my bitcoins.

I think a few people are like myself, as in, holding off any more fiat transfers to exchanges till holiday season over and life returns to normal working week. Going to be an interesting few weeks to see what the price ends up on December 31st. Hoping above 2x266 myself.

This is a bulltrap. Don't try to catch the knife above $200.

Nice!

Can't wait.

One good thing about Gox. Most people have to buy coins to get out.

And we are through... and climbing...choo choo.

Plus...

is there a thread that follows the news about the 90k bitcoin stolen from sheep market?
The subreddit for Sheep follows the news pretty closely.

I think what the bitcoin bandit could do is syphon off couple of hundred coins at a time, and just dump them on some of the latest transactions addresses to appear in bitcoin blockchain.

Imagine if you checked your wallet, and found your balance had 200 extra coins. Would you go and find out where they came from and politely return them. Or would you rush to an exchange and cash em out.

And of course, he now makes a bunch of strangers targets for the bitcoin mobsters whose money he stole.

I find that whenever i try to follow these speculation threads i always get lost pretty quickly once people start pulling out the numbers/graphs, how did you guys start learning how to read and process all this information and make predictions from them?

The thing is it's 99% bullshit.
Nobody here can predict where Bitcoin is coming.
Ignore all the graphs and drawings. They are totally useless and the people using them are delusional.
Just ask any of those guys if they are a millionaire. They will ignore you. That says enough.

But one thing you can gage is the mood on this forum. And then try to make a value judgement.

I was just eyeballing the i286.org page a few hours ago, and noticed the frequency of red sells vs green buys increasing. Took a screen shot, was about to point it out by uploading to imgur....and the price went from 1220 to 1150 before my eyes.

So no real crystal ball prophecies, but others have said easy money if you want to try your hand at day trading. Sell above 1200, buy back before 1150. Except this major pattern has only happened once so far in my day today for me.

well not a psycho, just someone who suffers from a mental illness, which when uncontrolled can lead to severe social dysfunction, as we saw some months ago. The main problem with Bipolar disorder is that the sufferer frequently lacks insight into their condition, which makes treatment even harder.

An excellent movie of someone who suffers from this condition is Mr. Jones starring Richard Gere.

Of course, totally not related to bitcoins, but movie is so good in my opinion, worth sharing.

Here's a better article about what Thomas Edison said on money.

http://prosperityuk.com/2000/09/thomas-edison-on-government-created-debt-free-money/

Excellent snippet. Thanks. Liked this bit in particular:

“It is absurd to say that our country can issue $30,000,000 in bonds and not $30,000,000 in currency. Both are promises to pay; but one promise fattens the usurer, and the other helps the people. If the currency issued by the Government were no good, then the bonds issued would be no good either. It is a terrible situation when the Government, to increase the national wealth, must go into debt and submit to ruinous interest charges at the hands of men who control the fictitious values of gold...."

Interesting Thread. I just see it as tarnishing the reputations of both services now. Only those who love the thrill of gambling will trust bitcoin 'businesses' now.

Would be nice to get my bitcoins back like everyone else.  Pity a good service is now associated with a new service that has yet to prove itself.  Proves to me they do not know how to build reputation. Just seems all to shady to me, to come out with this announcement.

Almost everyone is a bull here, even during a megadump like this one.... uhm...

Being bearish right now is almost equal to being a retarded. The price recovered after a 50% crash (900-450) and we just had a nice consolidation phase in which the bid side was replenished and the confidence restored.

In the meanwhile, the Senate legitimates BTC and the media exposure is huge. Big money wants in. Billionaires are coming.

And pigs are slaughtered, and weak hands shaken off.

This forum acts like it has no memory of what happened before. Rampion is right, of course we would see a correction right after breaching a significant target. But it is a good lesson to new comers to the wonderful world of bitcoin. You don't see too many posts gloating about they sold at the top and rebought at the bottom. Just, eeek the train is leaving without me.

By the way, studies seem to say fish can remember up to 5 months ago, unlike our forum users.

Time for some action... bitcoin is either of these....

Kawasaki ZX-10R motorcycle vs Audi RS6.

So is bitcoin the Kawasaki or the Audi RS6 tonight?
( note the Kawasaki is doing 300 on the autobahn and gets overtaken by the Audi ).
