A few thousand people received one free nemstake in 2013.
Afterwards these nemstakes where introduced on the nxt asset exchange, and it became possible to trade 0.1 of these nemstakes (2014). You could buy yourself into multiple nemstakes this way. At introduction in 2015 one nemstake could be redeemed for 2.250.000 XEM.
So maybe this guy is not telling the truth, but I know it's possible.
Oh yeah, ... and don't ask for proof  Wink

Does NEM will have colored coins? Like a USDNem token? or EURnem? GoldNem? even an Apple share?

I'd like to see that implemented.

Will have?

NEM allready has coloured coins for almost two years.
Just buy a namespace and you can create as many coloured coins as you wish.
I would say, go for it.

What does 'deprecated' mean, as used in the following wording taken from https://www.nem.io/install.html:

Quote
NCC/NIS Installer (Deprecated)

The original NCC/NIS Installer. We suggest using Nanowallet, or NCC/NIS Standalone instead.

And why are the Nanowallet and NCC/NIS Standalone considered to better alternatives to the original NCC/NIS Installer?

Thanks in advance for any replies  Smiley

NanoWallet is developed with a newer and better technology. NCC is therefore considered to be the 'old' wallet. Deprecated indicates that at some point it will be replaced.

There were some difficulties with the zip file i remember. I'm not sure why the installer is not recommended as alternative.

some slow steady upward movement these last couple of days, hopefully we start to gain some momentum and burst into the mainstream as more and more adopt over.

This update about Lon Wong was 2 days ago and seems to coincide with the price rise.  The price increased after Lon Wong made an update on his Linkedin.

I think investors must be very bullish about Lon Wong.  Lon Wong's updates in June / July is what sent the marketcap racing upwards to $30-$120 million mktcap.  I think the smart investors are seeing it as a very positive sign that Lon Wong is now the leader of NEM.  Lon Wong seems to be the most qualified and best candidate for the position.

Keep in mind that wasn't a guarantee or an obvious fact in the preceding weeks, month or even year.  For a time it looked like Lon Wong had no interest in leadership and was instead doing his own thing at Dragonfly and other ventures.  Seeing the update about him being President was actually a surprise for me.   I didn't think Lon was interested when NEM Malaysia association chose Rene Bernard as their President and Lon Wong was absent.  It looks like instead Lon Wong was to become the President of NEM international.

I did some digging and the Foundation was apparently registered in December 2016.
https://www.sgpbusiness.com/company/Nemio-Foundation-Limited

We got some sharp guys at the helm of NEM.  2017 could be a big year for NEM

This was apparently also registered the same day and the same address: https://www.sgpbusiness.com/company/Nemio-Trust-Limited
I would like to know why two separate organizations? And who is represented in the board of the Trust?

It already looks to be very popular.  This one already has more retweets and likes than Apostille.  Shocked

The backend of Landstead and the Backend of Apostille are very similar actually.  I would call them cousins and they both stem from a different and even more broad idea I have.  The reason why I think Landstead is doing so well is that while more than 100 projects on Ethereum have "talked" about building identity systems on Ethereum, very few actually delivered.  And Landstead not only did that but also government assets, and even registered property and property transfers between citizens.  To my knowledge this is the most advanced demo I have seen like that.

The problem with Apostille is sooooo many people have done PoE so Apostille gets over looked as just another PoE; it in fact is the most advanced PoE system I have ever seen by far, but people don't give it enough time to see it and it gets lost in the sea of all the other PoE systems.  Whereas Landstead is definitely one of the firsts of its kind.

One funny thing is our competition was building projects on Ethereum for literally months.  But we did Landstead in under a week!

Wasn't it built in 4 days? Also Apostille code was written by one person instead of an army of people like some of the other initiatives out there. And it came with the nanowallet too.

Before there was started writing the code, we did a lot of work to prepare: discuss the possibilities and documenting and testing the ideas. Work which is not yet finished BTW.

Let's say that NEM muscles it's way back up to it's previous high of $115 million market cap, NEM value $0.01, and it would be at #5 marketcap.
Now let's say that NEM pushes it's way up to 3rd place, with a cap of $240 million. NEM value, $0.02.
Now NEM moves up to 2nd place, and manages a 1 Billion dollar market cap like ether had. NEM value, $0.11

It's gonna take a tremendous amount of time and new money into crypto for that to happen, because the others in the top 10 will most likely still be there.

Well, based on your questions, I looked into some market cap numbers. The total market cap of all crypto's doubled the last year, from 7 billion to 14 billion.
I couldn't hesitate to make some assumptions ... Let's assume this market cap would double again in 2017 to 28 billion.
What percentage of that inflow of new capital should be flowing into nem to get to the market caps you mentioned within the timeframe of the same year. That is not a tremendous amount of time, you would have to agree.

To get to 115 million: 0,6%
To get to 240 million: 1,5%
To get to 1 billion:      7%

Now and that's is only based on the new capital, not on the exisiting capital. So this is when the 7 billion of today's market cap would not even shift at all, and as you suggest would still be there.

Disclaimer: this is pure speculation.

Two weeks ago the total market cap was 14 billion. Today it rose above 20 billion and the year just begun. Impressive.
Only legislation can stop this.

Can some1 confirm, if this is true or false.
Mobilewallet and nanowallet are "brainwallets". That means password = private key. And i only need to save the password to be able to open the same account in any other device with mobile or nanowallet ?

Anybody ?
As I understood, yes, both nanowallet and the mobile client support HD accounts. HD(hierarchical deterministic) meaning that not only one, but potentially multiple private keys can be determined based on initial password or passphrase. To be confirmed...

A whitepaper will be released soon to expound the real value of NEM as a project. It is something that will address what most of the world is talking about. Yes, talking about, not in production.

Take your time. We want the waiting to be worth it  Grin
Keep up the good work.

are nanowallet and mobile wallets use same way of backup import keys?
means can i use same addresses on both?

You can use the same private key in Nano, Android, Lighwallet, and NCC and you will have the same account on each wallet.

Also, NCC has an option to export wallet to Lightwallet format.  That wallet will work in both Nano and Lightwallet.  And now that the Android app is out, the next update to Nano in a week or so will also have an "export wallet to Android" option where the app just scans a QR in Nano and now you have the same account on your phone and your desktop.

Can we add a second account to an existing nano or mobile wallet using the private key? Or do we need to import a second account into a second wallet?

yes you can. But the feature was taken out. Reason is the NCC import function gets screwed up a little, so says @Jabo38

The feature was taken out, so I understand this as "No, you can't". Correct?

I bumped into a nice Buffet quote regarding the bear and bull market cycles:
"Either you will become a contrarian or a victim"
