You speak of 30 MH of increase using it of hybrid form, that increase with how many GPU's would be?, You have approximate date of commercialization? A greeting from Spain.

Maybe I missed it, but some clarification would be needed..

Is the bump in hash per gpu or combined bump per gpu group?

Hey everyone, I'm in the process of prepping my pool for the upcoming bitcoin gold main net.

I set up my pool with dedicated servers for best performance and have managed pools in the past for some heavy hitting bitcoin peeps.

Anyhow I could use some testing, feedback on the site.  Ill be adding more features.

Remember this is on Testnet right now, so any coins have no value until the main net comes on line in a few days.

check it out here GPU Gold

If all runs well Ill add other coins ..

You have an error on mainpage, in the section miner apps, it can confuse somebody. Should be equihash miner instead of eth miner.

****************************
NVIDIA Cards
ewbf-miner

Writen for pascal gpus but works on cards with at least 1Gb memory, and Compute Capability 3 and higher....
Miner contain dev fee 2%.

Download, configure and run ethminer

Connecting

thats.. my website is still in test mode Smiley cheers!

Edit the start.bat file and add the following.

miner --server us.gpugold.com --user bitcoin-gold-address.worker --pass x --port 3859

If you're having issues, please read the help.txt file included in the download.

AMD

ClaymoreBTGMiner [download]

Claymore's Bitcoin GOLD AMD GPU Miner. This is a specially compiled version for mining Bitcoin Gold.

Edit the start.bat file and add the following.

GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
ZecMiner64.exe -zpool us.gpugold.com:3859 -zwal bitcoin-gold-address.worker -zpsw x -allpools

SSL Encryption use:
ZecMiner64.exe -zpool ssl://us.gpugold.com:3801 -zwal bitcoin-gold-address.worker -zpsw x -allpools
Stratum + TCP use:
ZecMiner64.exe -zpool stratum+tcp://us.gpugold.com:3851 -zwal bitcoin-gold-address.worker -zpsw x -allpools

Note this miner has many options please consult the Readme!!!.txt file.

Check the official site.

Hmm the -tt value doesnt seem to do anything on the NV P106-100 .. fans are getting hot and also MSI afterbuner doesnt see the cards yet..

NVIDIA Cards available: 2
CUDA Driver Version/Runtime Version: 9.0/8.0
GPU #0: P106-100, 6071 MB available, 10 compute units, capability: 6.1

Note: for NVIDIA cards only temperature monitoring is supported, temperature management is not supported.

It's written in the readme also at the 1st page.

Ahh, thanks.. I prob read that but good to be reminded!

Ok I just got a hold of some Nvidia GTX Titan X cards with 12 gigs of memory on them.

I'm testing out the latest claymore miner w/o any over clocking on the nvidia cards..

To my surprise I'm only seeing about 12 Mh/s per card.. this seems odd for such a high end card.

my config is below..
Code:
GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -r 1 -dcri 20 -tt 69 -eres 0 -epool us2.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal xxxxxxxx.rig3 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mode 1

I manually build AMD rigs so the nvidia card tweaking is new to me.

Any Nvidia users on here maybe give me some pointers as to what might be wrong or should I look for a cuda only miner for ETH ?

Issues with ethminer error stops working.
Windows say it is running low on memory. I have set virtual memory to 16GB I'm not sure what is going on.
Windows 10
8 1070s

What is your actual value you put in for the virtual memory box?  I would assume you put in 16000 first of all correct?  Also you can run the taskmanager to see what apps are taking up memory on your system.  Hopefully you have more than 4 gigs of memory as well.  Check what other programs are being launched at start up and disable them to get more memory back.. etc..

Holy carp 11%+ in one go!

It would be logical to assume at this point an ASIC, there are and will be other future dagger coins, even once ETH goes PoS

Crazy times gentlemen, think ill stop buying ti's for a while see where mining goes in next 30 days or so, thx for the info man!

EDIT: Sorry was late to the game posting, and as many people have said, its not ASIC..

Original:

Not sure about ASIC since it takes a lot of development time, resources and money.  It doesn't *seem* to make sense since at some
point ETC will go to POS, granted starting out at %1 but will go over time, making miners obsolete at some point.  (still down the road).

However anything is possible Smiley

i would argue you never once mentioned "Dagger".  it's like the sole reasoning it wouldn't happen is ETH/ETC are the only coins to mine if one had an asic?
There will be coins we dont even KNOW of yet that use dagger and are huge, some would say Ubiq and Musiccoin could be long term right NOW even
There's no doubt to me a dagger ASIC would be profitable, at this point they could even tap out a batch of chips i bet .

Course, yes, us little guys its all speculation, "anything IS possible" Smiley

Dagger Hashimoto is memory-hard, which means that ASIC and FPGA gain no advantage because everyone is limited by the speed of RAM.

Because the primary determinant of hardness is memory, and not computation, specialized hardware has only a tiny advantage; even an optimal Dagger mining ASIC would have little to offer over a hobbyist purchasing hundreds of gigabytes of memory cards off the shelf and plugging them into a medium-power GPU.
