Re: Are there any groups for full time crypto traders?

STOP looking for such groups my friend. General expectation of newbie traders from these groups are to cash in from the other traders strategy and that's exactly the most annoying part for Experienced traders and thus they don't share such informations. Smiley

Re: What is a fundamental analysis?
by
gaurav@zup
on 30/04/2018, 15:56:40 UTC
Fundamental analysis is the driving factor in the crypto market but that said it is not only limited to it.
Technical analysis works miracles for the Day traders and short term traders combined with sentimental analysis of buy wall and sell wall gives an idea to the trader weather its a sell time or  buy time.
Never the less always keep in mind that Fundamental , Technical and Sentimental analysis are like food, water and oxygen for the human body, if you miss on any of these then you might suffer a loss. Wink

In crypto market the indicators works in similar fashion as they do in any other trading market but do keep this in mind that these indicators are only good in the high volume coins which are not easy to pump by any individual trader ( Bitcoin , Ethereum or any top 30 coins ) .
The crypto market is currently depended on the sentimental analysis rather than solely on Technical analysis. Smiley

Generally speaking, a bull market happens when prices rise by 20 percent, usually after a drop of 20 percent and before a 20 percent decline. Since they are difficult to predict, bull markets can typically only be recognized once they’ve happened.
Well that said it does not apply in the Crypto market as the crypto market is very volatile but the bull run is said when the market is on the rise for more than a month and at a overall rise in market of minimum 50% (percent can be argued to even higher degree). But as seen in past the Bull run went upto 300% to 1000%, so the upper limit is out of the discussion for time being. Smiley

Re: How important technical indicators are in cryptocurrencies volatile market?

What are your thoughts on the technical indicators and their utility in such a volatile market of cryptocurrencies. ( open to discussion )
The utility of those indicators is high but is not everything you need to keep your eyes on the news as well also those indicators are very useful in a coin like bitcoin and other coins like that but if you're expecting that such indicators are going to work in very small coins then your mistaken, in fact that is one of the first things that you learn when you are trading.
True ... TA works in more stable coins like Bitcoin,  Ethereum , etc. As these coins cannot be pumped or dumped easily because of the high trading volume and huge marketcap.
And according to me as the Cryptocurrency market matures in coming years then TA's will be more and more useful as the volatility will reduce of other coins too.

Lack of regulations - Despite the fact that governments are doing their best to regulate this space, it's still in its initial days - Limited controls can without much of a stretch permit anybody with a ton of property to control the market.

Lack of institutional capital - Banks and other foundation are available to blockchain technology however haven't contributed, yet, a lot of cash which would mollify the unpredictability.

They have no intrinsic value - Regardless of some other organizations, cryptocurrencies don't make an items, acquire income, utilize a large number of individuals or even return dividents - Because of this is it extremely difficult to esteem them, we frequently depend on advertise assumption which is affected by the media.
Agreed upon the points of lack of regulations and lack of institutional capital which will happen in due time. BUT i couldn't disagree more on the point of having no intrinsic value, as cryptocurrencies are not suppose to make any item because it is the outcome of the Blockchain which is the item. And as far as dividends are concerned many new ICOs are paying the dividends like Bankera and many more.
And as far as the value is considered i can give you many examples of currently available financial system which itself has no value like GOLD, SILVER or as a matter of fact any currency.
Its all about demand and supply of any currency, commodity, cryptocurrency and people willing to take it as a payment in exchange of goods and services. Smiley

learn from the past mistakes ... news is not the only thing that drives the market , in cryptocurrency the fear drives the market , so read in those sentiments in trading groups and buy or sell wall in order books ... and technical indicators are always helpful to trade efficiently.

Any one who thinks that it is the end for cryptocurrency are merely the victims of Poor trading skills as any trade market that goes up eventually comes down crashing to get back up again and this is the beauty of the all trading markets that some win and some lose making it madly addictive .

Laptop mining will destroy your laptop and will f*** up its processing speed ... i would suggest you to mine altcoins rather than bitcoin as BTCs difficulty is grown much higher but altcoins are still mine able and fruitfull ... use ASIC miners or at least good graphic cards.

Re: A daily 1% gains.
by
gaurav@zup
on 28/03/2018, 13:43:04 UTC
That is called DAY Trading and in crypto market daily gains of 1% to 5% is very common , specially in this stagnant market conditions.
Use of RSI , Stocastic RSI , bollinger bands helps in buying low and selling at top and this type of trade can be done in cyclic manner and is really fruitfull when trading is bigger amounts.

on 27/03/2018, 15:09:02 UTC
day trader - sell at every 1 or 2% gain in cyclic manner.
short term trader - sell at 5 to 10 % gains in cyclic manner ( 1 week to 1 month period )
long term trader - sell half of the coins when you double it and keep the rest for further gain ( 1 month to 3 months period )

Re: Buying USDT during crypto dips.your thoughts.

USDT is the best escape route from market dips and crashes but i would suggest to convert half of your cryptos in your local currencies as USDT is also surrounded  with some rumors of not backed by dollars as they claim.

Re: Stop complaining when the value of your holding is low
by
gaurav@zup
on 21/03/2018, 13:59:54 UTC
All those who are complaining are generally newbies who think that crypto is like a gold mine where you dig once and you are rich for life. But they must understand the difference between the trading and investing.
1. If trading stay sharp and make short trades and gain daily profits by controlling the greed to earn more which may lead to heavy losses.
2. If investing then find the good project and HOLD for atleast 3 months.

Re: Thoughts on Straight HODL vs Trading
by
gaurav@zup
on 20/03/2018, 14:36:32 UTC
There are three conditions where you must trade or HODL.
1. Market is on the rise then day trade half of the invested money and HODL half of it.
2. Market is stable then day trade 75% of the invested money and HODL the rest.
3. Market is CRASHING then HODL but harvest in certain rises and buy back more when it goes down further.
Note: This is not a trading advice just an trading approach  Smiley.

Re: How to handle tough times in cryptocurrency?
by
gaurav@zup
on 18/03/2018, 15:15:47 UTC
losing position is the position where you feel that i cannot take any more losses and in that scenario one must sell immediately so that you can buy when the market plums down further. But if the losses are already beyond measures and if it is not your credit money then HOLD as what is there to loose more than that you have already lost and wait for next pump. Smiley

Re: What is the best / hottest cryptocurrency to buy during the dip?
by
gaurav@zup
on 15/03/2018, 16:03:35 UTC
No one can tell you the best place to put your money in cryptocurrency market but yes this is the right time to buy in with big numbers as this correction and dip will only end up in a inevitable pump of the market. Few good projects i can point out are cardano , 0x , Stellar , EOS and populous. but always do your due diligence. Smiley

the thing is just some projects corrected more than others. Will they rebounce stronger than others afterwards? of course nobody knows - but we can share our thoughts. For example now NEO is more down than during the last dip; so NEO right now is more interesting than it was before when BTC dropped in February. Any other coins that you would consider super cheap right now with lots of potential?

this will help you to understand why you can invest in EOS, as it is in its bottom and had a biggest ICO of all time, giving hell lot of positive sentiments towards the project. And sentiments is the only driving factor of any market. Smiley
