I found an Instagram acct by searching the hashtag "coinchimp" which he is also associated with. The handle on the instagram acct is onewiseguy. Anyway, he has a post telling his followers to check out coinchimp. You can also go here: https://bitcointa.lk/threads/wts-asicscrypt-com-proof-of-earnings.350900/ and see that not only is there an acct onewiseguy discussing asicscrypt.com, but also an acct by the name of Professor James Moriarty on the same thread. If you look at the instagram acct of "onewiseguy" you can see that he advertises coinchimp and asicscyrpt.com. I have a screenshot, but idk how to upload it. Anywho, pretty sure this is the guy.

And what do you know!! There is an account registered here "onewiseguy". It's him. Thank you, Tarsua for pointing that out to me.

If you have honestly lost Bitcoins to BitLaunder, then yes, you are probably screwed as Michael Moriarty is a known con artist who has had accusations made against BitLaunder before - yet he still tosses around on the forums trying to ignore them or claim he isn't in the wrong.

Refer to this decently large thread on MM's previous big scam.

Does this guy also run bitcoinpuddle, bitnewbie, coinchimp and asicscrypt

EmbarrassedI "laundered" some bitcoins through BitLaunder yesterday. I have been waiting for them to be deposited into a wallet of mine elsewhere. No such luck!! I emailed support, and even emailed Moriarty.Bitcoin@gmail.com only that email bounced back. Apparently his email address is invalid.

I am very new to Bitcoin, in fact this was supposed to be my first buying something with it. I should've done a simple google search of the place I was going to send my hard-earned money!

Do I have any recourse?

Thanks,

Gina

I have a long standing policy of not doing business with companies that choose to name themselves after vicious animals, pests, the Devil or anything Evil, Criminals, etc. They are telling you right up front what they are. Also, in the occult world it is part of deflecting negative Karmic Consequence to tell the victim what you intend to do.

From Wikipedia: Moriarty is a criminal mastermind whom Holmes describes as the "Napoleon of crime".

You sent money to be laundered to a company named after the arch enemy of Sherlock Holmes, Moriarty- a "Criminal Mastermind"? And you got ripped off? Really? Do they have to actually name their service "We WILL fucking rip you off, so send us your BTC!" before you refuse to do business with them? Roll Eyes

...

I have read many stories about people having problems mixing coins.  What I do not understand is why people do not read the various threads on Bitcoin mixers (and people's often negative experiences with them) BEFORE mixing their BTC...

BitLaunder and Fog, for example have many negative user comments.

bitmixer.io and blockchain.info's SharedCoin have many fewer complaints.  I do prefer bitmixer.io, as their service has worked smoother for me.  That is the main reason why I chose their signature campaign, I am a happy customer.

Is it necessary to even mix coins when dealing with such small amounts? I'm talking $200 type transactions...

Bullshit.  Whoever this guy is, he's a straight-up liar.

Accuser: What is your Bitlaunder username?

We don't need to scam anyone.  Our revenue model is commissions, and we make far too much money from commissions (up to 3%) than stealing a few measly coins.

Again, let me know your username and I will check your account. I am guessing you are just a hacker/extortionist trying to shake me down for a few btc so you can 'resolve' this situation.

If you have a legitimate claim, post your username or (better yet) email me at Moriarty.Bitcoin@gmail.com or support@BitLaunder.  My name and contact info is right there on the site - I'm not hiding.  Funny though, you take the time to post on here about getting 'scammed' and yet you never emailed me or emailed support ..

Hopefully you can help me...

My username is gbcm15. I deposited into bitlaundry, but so far nothing. I went to deposit into my other acct and it's not there. I emailed your email address, but it bounced back. I'm hoping you can help me out. I don't want to join the chorus of people calling you a scammer, and i would like to prove them wrong.

Hey Moriarty,

I'm relatively new to Bitcoin, and I signed up for your service. I've been waiting for my bitcoin to be deposited into a wallet of mine, but so far it hasn't happened. I should have googled BitLaunder before i stupidly signed up and deposited. I really hope this isn't a scam. Can you please look into this for me? I'd really appreciate it.
