It ain't pretty but it earns me right around $2 per day. The power supply is on top cuz I'm too lazy to take the one out that came with the desktop...and for air flow...ya, we'll go with air flow. The 5830 on the outside there is the main earner whilst the 7750 inside does a descent job...and runs my games. I also LTC mine with the FX-6100 cpu which is why there is the little grey fan in the front. Even with the open case it gets warm in there so it helps push the air around a bit. Hoping to add another 5970 to the mix to continue to be profitable with the rise in LTC prices Wink

Posting this mostly to encourage the amateurs out there. I don't make much with this setup but it paid for Christmas presents last year and continues to pay for my MineCraft server, my Mumble server, my website hosting package, my Rift subscription AND a few gallons of gas here and there. It's literally free money people...get your rig turned on and mine that bad boy!!! Tongue

Scared to ask questions here? Still a noob and can't post? Ask me your questions...I don't know everything but I certainly don't mind helping where I can Wink - gecko@gektek.info

I thought we we're basically all supposed to be sharing, pyramid style and all...

We were, but the older fpga deposits weighed down the hashrate for the deposits that came after it. Look back for my posts on this. A few of us did some detailed math and discussion on this.

Ahh...so my mistake was not taking advantage of the 'pre order' thing that was happening last year. I just made direct deposits so they would start earning right away and da dah dah dah... I get it now...sorta... ;P

heh...been a supporter of Pyra for quite some time now but I gotta say...the recent changes are...confusing at best. I kinda get what is going on and at the same time not really. And I kinda agree with things but at the same time not really...maybe cuz I don't fully understand...maybe cuz I do and I dun like it. Either way I guess this is my question, keeping in mind I do remember Pyra stating the website was going to undergo changes after new hardware was installed and running...anywho...what the heck is going on? Tongue

I thought we were 'investing' bitcoin in a bitcoin business. Yes things are being purchased so chances are the purchases are based on a currency other than bitcoin but...bitcoin has a value of its own, why does it look like Pyra is creating its own value for things? I mean...if the current bitcoin value is what it is...I can FULLY understand adjusting the 'sell price' for each account based on when deposits were made but I don't understand why the hash power is being adjusted for the deposits...I thought we we're basically all supposed to be sharing, pyramid style and all... Maybe if the values were based on the price of bitcoin at the time of a Pyra hardware purchase but I made deposits of the exact same amount several days in a row and they all have different hash power ratings (I think...things are confusing...sigh) ...I am assuming because the value of bitcoin changed day to day but but but...and thats about the point where things start to get all loopy and chicken or the egg? type questions...

So...if there was a simple explanation somewhere, a simple link to that post would be great...otherwise...what'sa goin on lately???

Please and thank you.

If I am reading p2pool.info correctly they found a block 3 hours ago so something will trickle down after another 15 or so. In the mean time...I've been with Pyra long enough to see the pattern. Its not fun to be 'in the dark' for months on end but every single time Pyra comes through with exactly what was promised and every time people start blowing their tops the longer there is no word from Pyra. Point of this post? None really...just sayin love ya Pyra...keep up the good work! Cuz I know that not hearing from you is usually a good thing Cheesy

What party package deal do you speak of? A flat rate USPS box is $5.80 here in USA.

Well, since buying like 2 or 3 glowsticks is impractical with shipping of $5.80 (would be like seven bucks for 2 sticks) I was thinking something where it would be like say...

  • 6 glowsticks
  • 1 pair of LED party gloves
  • 1 pair of LED glasses
  • maybe some other cool party related item etc etc

...all for a grand total of like 0.15 btc shipped or whatever the price would end up. So package it as some type of 'party package' for an individual or group of individuals for a night or weekend. Dunno...don't really see anybody else trying to sell 'party' supplies for bitcoin and I already sell the stuff for cash so thought I'd see what interest there might be... Cheesy

Well, made it to the third page so I think its safe to bump now Wink

So I'll put it to anyone who has read this far...might a 'party package' deal sound a little better than cheap glowsticks and crappy shipping prices?

Thanks for your input Cheesy

Let's see...essentially just a bump but I added a few things to the OP which are...

  • Added picture of glowsticks in water bottles from the last luau I threw.
  • Added a few details for the LED gloves I am also selling now Cheesy
  • Changed the shipping info to one flat rate to make ordering process a bit easier

...any questions, comments, or otherwise...please just ask Cheesy

In the mean time, if you're looking for some good tunes to listen to whilst you're surfing the webs be sure to click the 'gektek Radio' link in my sig Cheesy

Ahhh shipping  Undecided  I wish you luck on sales though  Grin

Thank you! Cheesy I will have a more varied inventory by the end of the month but wanted to get the word of mouth started as soon as the first of my inventory arrived. I have also begun selling glow items at local Karaoke events that I do in Washington state...thought I'd try branching into the bitcoin community and see what happens. Cheesy

Assorted colors...you get what I grab...

After the first 100 are sold price returns to 0.01 btc each!

These are the high quality thick full six inch sticks. Not the skinny tube style. Not the four inch sticks with 'attachments'. These are the real deal...like what the troops are using (although what troops are doing with the variety of colors that I offer is beyond me Tongue).

JUST ADDED!
Light up LED Gloves. No picture just yet but these are the high quality gloves with an easy access on/off button. Not the disposable gloves from Party Time with LED keychains shoved in the fingertips. Actual el wired gloves. 0.1 btc per pair ...first 5 pair sold will go for only 0.08 btc Cheesy

SHIPPING
---------
USA USPS priority shipping 0.10 btc ...period!

How To Order
-------------
  • Send btc for glow products plus shipping to: 1N6nVUQjkjkxH6YZeoUj7pT3rEbU2kwsgv (Please only send from a wallet you control...duh!)
  • PM me your shipping info, email address, what you ordered, as well as the transaction ID from the payment you sent.
  • oh, guess that's really it...unless you'd like to post here publicly that you placed an order to make sure I do what I say I'm going to do Cheesy

PS...I know the price of shipping kinda kills the deal Sad Working on it. If you can do a better price yourself I'd be willing to accept a pre-paid shipping label but please PM me first. Cheesy

This lotto will still be slightly delayed while I go out and get the secrets and compute the winner (which I could have done prior), but I got a bad fever or something the past week, so I was just resting the whole time.

I'll fix this up in a couple of days, and might skip Number 21 and start off the next round with Number 22.

Feel better!

Uh oh... Scammer mad at vod.  Sad

So there is nothing wrong with my post and you are just griefing...k. Is there an ignore feature here on BitcoinTalk? Cheesy

So you are planning to borrow as many btc your reputation allows and run off with it...k.  Is there a way I can inform the rest of the community?  Cheesy

I thought I had no rep? Cuz it can't be purchased...remember? Griefers always start contradicting themselves when they run out of things to complain about don't they? Cheesy

Contradicting eh?  Where did I say you had no rep, scammer?

Replying to me when I am on ignore...  Contradicting eh?  Cheesy.   Your scammer personality will force you to read each one of my messages.  Cheesy

Doh...I edited my last post after you replied already...my bad. I don't have time to read through all your old messages...just seemed like one of the themes you were griefing me about before. Sigh...I have to go do real world work now but please keep replying...I could use the bumps.

As always...its been fun! Oh, and you're not on ignore asshole...I don't hate you I just don't like you Tongue

The randomly mixed cases in the title does not look professional. If you want people to take you seriously, please change it to the normal case usage.
