Most stable miner for my nvidia cards on RVN.

Any plans to add FiroPow support?

Happy New Year!!!

How difficult will it be to have a new development team fork away from this EIP-1559?, a team that would support POW and remove the ASICs. Would you support a new coin? I probably will with my 11.5 GH. What will happen to ETH then?

Hi Patrike

I have uploaded the awesome miner firmware on my T17. What are the settings I need to make next in order to get the hash rate boost?

Re: Hive OS - new Linux GPU mining platform

Hi

I would like to write my test observation hiveos with Asus b250.

First, I hope to have hiveos on my b250 mining expert board. But until stable run, I need to use Windows.

8 Nvidia + 2 amd works stable.
8 Nvidia + 6 amd very unstable. At least 2 and cards randomly very low hash rate such as 4mhs.

If I increase and cards more than two, randomly low has rate on some amd cards start. Once time I had a stable 8 + 4 combination. But when I deal with autofan function rig restarted and again 2 amd cards start with low hash rates. When I unplug slot and plug some other slot it starts good until another booth. Before each new booth you need to change slot position of low performance and cards.

As I said, I like to have hiveos.  I hope developers will come with a solution.

What is my next step for this mother board.

I will flash original bios on to amd cards. Let's see with original bios result.

Any body has experience with original bios on Asus b250? Do you think that it would be helpful?

If I will have no good result, I will try ethos. I want to use any is other than Windows.

Best regards

I am running 14 cards on this board on multiple rigs very stable. This is what I do: update the board bios to 1206.(there is a new 1207 version but I did not play with it just yet) Do not mix cards, either have nvidia or amd and flash there respective image on ssd. If you go nvidia update the driver "nvidia-driver-update" in hiveos and update to the latest version hive. If you go amd flash the vega image and do not update hive stay on version 6.01. If you want to use amdmemtweak you will need to compile it yourself from command line:
git clone https://github.com/Eliovp/amdmemorytweak
 cd amdmemorytweak/linux
 sudo apt-get install build-essential -y
 sudo apt-get update -y
 sudo apt-get install libpci-dev -y
 g++ AmdMemTweak.cpp -lpci -lresolv -o amdmemtweak
 rm /hive/sbin/amdmemtweak
 mv /home/user/amdmemorytweak/linux/amdmemtweak /hive/sbin/

The only cards I did not manage to run on a 14 card rig are the 1660/1660ti which is at 8 with the current nvidia drivers. As the nvidia drivers progressed I was able to go from 3 cards originally to 8 now.

I hope this helps, it is sure working for me, 15 rigs running and 30 more motherboards left on the shelf  Smiley (no video cards an power to fill them up)

I'm having a problem with 1 set of rigs.
They are all AMD 12 gpu rigs with 4gig of ram and Celeron cpu on ASUS B250 expert MoBo. When they are rebooted the load skyrockets and slows the rig to a stop. If I unplug them they work normally at start, until they reboot again.
This does not happen on my 6 rigs on the a Biostar tb 250 with everything else the same.
Anyone has any idea why? Any suggestions?

This is a known issue with these boards. We're currently awaiting feedback from ASUS on the matter, but, we think it may be related to BIOS version. Anything above vers. 120x has this issue.
Boards with 1001 up to 1010 don't seem to be affected.

Thing is, you won't be able to rollback since they've ME locked it.

Please check your BIOS version and report back so I can send as much data to their guys testing this.

Thanks!

I'm on Version 1206 on all I think.

I run the same B250 board with 14 vegas and I have no problems unless I update Hive. Try reinstalling hive and do not update it, stay on version 0.6-01.

This is the only version that works fine for me. Graphics rx 570 8gb. Thank you devs!

P.S.:  2% dev fee will be great too!  Smiley

I have been running 12 vega rigs for a couple of months now and I can attest that hash rate on pool side (nanopool) averages higher that the miners console with. This translates into minus percent developer fee. Thank you developers and keep up the good work.

Thanks for the reply. I did some more testing and the 1660 does work with both drivers 418.43 and 418.56. The problem is I can not get a rig with more than 6 cards on this drivers. I am running a test rig of 3 1080ti, 3 2080, 1 2080ti and if I remove 2 of this cards I can get 1 1660 or 1 1660ti to work properly. If I try to plug in any more than 6 cards I get this errors :"Failed to registered device" and "Failed to allocate NvKmsKapiDevice".
Windows drivers seem to be working a little better but it takes half a day to get everything to post and I really have no more interest in running full time rigs on windows since I found your HIVEOS(difference is day and night). If you are interested I am willing to test out any patches you guys might want to try out.

I have no problems running rigs of 14 gpus of 1080tis on this drivers. Also I have no problem running multiple rigs of vega 56 and 64's of 14gpus.

Thank You for the great software, I do not think I can go back to anything else now, you spoiled me . Any plans to add support for nvidia 1660? (tried driver 418.56 with no luck). 1660ti works like a charm.

Asus B250 Mining expert with G4400 is solid with 14 cards on both windows and Linux.(14 1080ti or 14 vega 56, have not tried to mix them up)

It seems to be a problem with nanopool. 10 rigs for 24 hours with 3% rejects and no hw errrors. Switch to supportxmr for 6 hours with no rejects yet.

All the best to the developers for the great miner.
