Recently I came across ICON randomly through a youtube Video. It got me so much interested that I have been reading/learning only about this project from last few days.

ICON's white paper shows its plan (However, i still need to read few more times to completely understand its technical part), which is completely different from other regular white papers. Many white papers simply deal about one block chain application, but ICON is concentrating on creating a complete Ecosystem of block chains. They are allowing different institutions like Financial organisations, insurances, hospitals, universities to create and govern their own blockchains, but they could all hyper connect with ICON network. This would be mind blowing if implemented according to plan. This is not just their vision, but they already got head start in many of these. We will come to know about those success about in an year.

I watched several interviews of Min Kim (Member of ICON Foundation Council). He seems to be a honest guy and I kind of connected with his vision. I came to know that actually around 100 members are working on ICON project (But the website shows around 30 member only. May be, 30 members are involved  in the ICON ICO launch & 100 members are involved in the ICON project. Anyways, I am not sure). Overall, I got confidence on him and he is definitely NOT someone who wants to  cash out on ICO hypes.

Finally, I got very good confidence on the project and started some position yesterday and I will hodl this for long time. I don't have enough knowledge in doing price predictions and hence wont touch that subject.

The Decred team is focusing on developing the coin 1st, and once they feel it ready, they will do more marketing. After they incorporate lightning, I think the next major development will be privacy features. Ultimately IMO they will become the store of wealth coin. I think the chosen store of wealth coin will be the most valuable cryptoasset of all and decred has a serious shot at it.

I recently came across DeCred. Since then, I am like totally into it trying to understand the project and listened to all the interviews with Charlie & Willy Woo (woonomic). The project looks so good and the team is one of best out there.

I started to think where exactly DeCred will completely dominate in the following use cases. i am listing out the following 3 cases where it can compete. Please let us know your opinions on them and share if there is any other area where DeCred will shine.

1. Store of Wealth: Currently Bitcoin dominates this. Given the Bitcoin brand name, I think its extremely difficult to dominate this. Decred has much better protocol, but it needs lot of marketing to reach out to people.
2. Coin for everyday usage: As Decred's liquid supply is very limited, every day usage might not be a good area to compete.
3.Privacy features: Decred has not completed the privacy features and it has to compete with the popular names like Monero, Zcash. Decred has to do it innovatively in order to grab some of this market.
