By the way, oh so detailed poster, what the hell are they preaching? To let people control cryptocurrencies?
See, that's what your eyes are for. it's not my fault you can't read. back to the topic, i give not two fucks about any one in that thread. i care about the idea that we can do something to stop shitcoins. since you are an idiot, and unable of basic comprehension i give you this disclaimer:

My god.

I have to explain this, but Mudda Fudda made Memecoin, guys. I'm so sick of saying this, that I'm not even going to say anything else besides this.

And they're trying to control cryptocurrencies! Isn't this the opposite of cryptocurrencies main goals?

i think your problem is you focus on the people instead of the actual issue at hand, let alone the strength of the idea they are preaching. scared much scammer? god forbid you actually have to get a real job or anything.  Cheesy

Forking coins isn't illegal. its abusing the protocol at best, but lets face it. if a coins protocol allows it to be forked via 51% attacks, how is it supposed to be a viable form of currency in the digital age, so i argue your bubblegum leave it to beaver logic discredits you, and the opposition of that thread.

ddosing pools and services, that's an entirely different matter.
I don't mean forking, I am talking about extortion. And if I remember right, ddosing pools were also discussed in that shitcoin thread as an extra bonus.

They discuss  charging devs a 'fee' if they don't comply with them, and if they don't, they will ddos them. That is the illegality I am talking about.

where did r3wt mention extorting people? you keep mixing your accusations between r3wt and "they", so i have to ask. are you high, or does everyone from hollywood parade about in this manner, throwing out accusations without being able to back them up?

back in the day, r3wt was notorious. not for being a scammer, but for being untrustworthy. He had several alt accounts he would use to troll the forum. it was very annoying. I posted a thread a long time ago calling him out because he admitted to these untrustworthy acts and all his attempted scams in some obscure thread that no one would ever see. I've noticed him posting from time to time, and i signed up and used his exchange briefly. he didn't take anything from me, but that certainly doesn't mean he's not the same person that was premining coins, scamming with his fake faucets, and being a troll.

just my 2 centz

ABSOLUTELY ZERO PREMINE

I'll believe it when i see it. How long can we expect to wait? a few days? weeks? How can we be sure there is no premine or instamine?

And also, is this going to be good like OSC or crap like jcoin was. i hope you took your time instead of making another hastily written joke.

How long till OSC on an exchange? i heard cryptsy wouldn't be adding it for some personal reason against the developer. has any other exchange made plans to add it? thanks

it'll probably happen eventually. just give it time.

hmm, okay so are you going to fix nanotokens?

pls put [TIX] Lottery Tickets to the market

please don't add this coin it has had a shady beginning and the dev in charge of it refuses to say who he/she is..
plenty of good coins by reputable people to add in the future..no rush to add every name changing anonymous dev'd coin.
i'd like to see a rule at cryptsy allowing only coins that have a confirmed identity to them.
We ALL know that there are a handful of guys here that are pumping out massive amounts of new coins constantly, all using a different name.
and adding these coins is a serious mistake and will harm the community rewarding these guys by bringing their latest coin up to the big leagues.
is this not common sense ?

you guy brought up security issue on the last round of changes so you know what ?
adding anonymous coins is a security risk too.. some of these unknown people could be confirmed scammers etc

rest assured that the real dev of this coin is far from a scammer.

I've never really understood what's going on with that account? The private key is publicly known. But why all the double spends?

the system is being tested for exploitability

Now that i've displayed my sense of humor let me out of this newbie hell in a cell.

You joke, but a serious request for such a number was made:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=87215

lol, having just read that thread, it seems like a world class troll job and no where near a serious loan request. typical reaction from the mods. real scammers walk in plain sight under the shield of the staff, while small timers are nailed to the wall as examples. tsk tsk.

2.5 Million Coins

5 minute Blocks

1 week retarget

variable rewards (ranging from .25 to 20)

250 coin premine

Sha 3 Keccak PoW

Modified Copperlark GUI

Windows Client

Linux Client

Github

First of all, Keccak is a hash function.

Second, there are Keccak-256 and Keccak-512. Which one?

Third, what mix function?

Fourth, is it scrypt based?

By the way, block target of 5 minutes with 1 week averaging is insane if no EMA involved.

sha3. it uses keccak as one of its hashing functions. hell no it isn't scrypt based. yuck!

mix function? same as copperlark.

i've changed my mind(again) on the retarget. i'm thinking 600 blocks will be good probably. i read up about the yacoin retarget and wanted to try and use it but i think a standard retarget is the way to go.. for now. nothing is set in stone at this point. i'm veryflexible.
