Re: GTX 1060 discussion thread

Palit gtx 1060 3gb @ 1974 gpu /+600 mem and I'm getting ~17 MH/s DaggerHashimoto  ~832 MH/s Decred in dual mining.

What could be the reason for such low hashrate? Mining with NiceHash miner 2.1.0.2 beta.

Thanks for any help.

It has Hynix memory, try mining something else.

It also takes a while for coins to confirm after they have been mined. Wait a few days and see if the coins from the previous day confirm.

that is the command I used.

Finally decided to give this a try:

[2018-Mar-01 15:25:56] [GPU-3] CUDA: failed to alloc memory

6x 1060 3GB. I have a 16GB pagefile.

Dialed back overclock to stock, same results.

funakoshiMiner.exe -l us-east.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:17023 -u XXXXXXXXXXX -p x -f log.txt -cd 0 1 2 3 4 5

I didn't test the miner on 1060 3GB.
It seams that the miner requires more memory than available on the gpu
card. To support 1060 3GB some changes need to be done in the code.

All other equihash software support it, its no biggy if you dont put it in.

~  Added 1 minute per hour devfee.

Enjoy!

I really dont mind paying dev fee's. I'm just amused that this was one of the things you raged about with the original one from plagin.

I do understand that you are actually improving it with your fork. 1.6% dev isn't bad.

This is not correct, first post was like that:

Are you mad at Hsrminer_Neoscrypt because it tries to connect to dead pools for several hours, making your farms waste time and profits?
So am i, because i'm just another miner like you, and i want my rigs to work 24/7!

And here is my solution:

This is fork of Hsrminer for Neoscrypt miner.
....

Main problem that was bothering me was not devfee, but exactly lack of -r option, because of that miner was unreliable. Once I woke up in the morning and checked farm's status - all rigs with hsrminer were chilling, doing nothing because pool was dead for like 4 or 6 hours. That's what make me mad and motivated to solve this problem.

My bad, either way, I dont mind paying once a version comes out that I want to upgrade to that improves performance on my 1060's. Right now I'm on equihash.

Hey all,

I created a small script to extract Nvidia and DSTM telemetry data into Prometheus to create nice dashboards.

Check it out and let me know what you think: https://github.com/pwm/rig-stats

that look intristing for a person who like to track statistic BUT from what i see it working only for linux Sad so when you have time to make for windows to will be nice Smiley cheers

You can install python on Windows.

You are going to get rejected. Most banks think that you are doing day trading because of your name and will reject you.

If you had made your name vague and stated you were a datacenter or something like that, you might be able to get away with it.

I have another problem now though...

After updating the rig to the fall creator's update - and new nVidia drivers 391.01 I lost 25% hashrate (from 1350 to 1040 kH/s). I have been running the high priority miner, using parameters -i 5 -c 4. I also now seem to get a lot of "Share rejected, invalid job ID" messages. No idea if related or what's going on. Any ideas?
HODL your horses, my mistake.
I had forgotten to switch back to forcing P0 state.

All good, back to good ol'speeds.

Cheesy

How do you force p0 state? And does this affect 1070 Ti's too?

Nvidia Profile Inspector and turn P0 to OFF

Looks like reporting was never accurate so Nvidia just disabled it in 1050s

Nvidia-smi not reporting power consumption
by
giveen1
on 21/02/2018, 22:40:49 UTC
So I think its because driver model is reporting as WDDM, any way to switch that off on W10? I tried to switch to TCC mode but it says not allowed and will treat it as an error.

Code:
PS C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI> .\nvidia-smi.exe -fdm 1
Unable to set driver model for GPU 00000000:01:00.0: Not Supported
Treating as warning and moving on.
Unable to set driver model for GPU 00000000:06:00.0: Not Supported
Treating as warning and moving on.
All done.

Your mistake was using SATA to power your risers. SATA can only handle 55W and PCI-E ports needs to pull 75W.
