Careful and make sure your miners are behind a firewall if using that setting because that opens the miners to allow ANY IP to control them

I am running a 1500+ KNC Super Jupiter Mining Card Farm and using CryptoGlance to monitor it

Re: Let's report Ken Slaughter / Active Mining to SEC
by
gjpminingco

Really what jurisdiction does the SEC have over a criminal theft case in MO?

The SEC has nothing to do with this.

If you have been scammed by these people go to your local authorities and file a theft report for the amount of your purchase, it makes no difference if it was paid in bitcoin or not as long as the funds moved in and out of your bank account at some point treat it as a cash transaction.  Once the police report is filed contact the MO attorney general and open a case(see original post in this thread).  Go get an attorney, most charge around 100-150 per hour, this is a simple theft case and should cost around 600 dollars.  Most states also protect consumers across state lines and have laws on the books to prevent internet crimes such as this. I can provide everyone with known contact information for Ken, Micah, Samantha, & Gerald so your lawyer can contact them directly and serve them with official notice of legal action. However I will not deal with anyone through this forum as these crooks have hundreds of sudo accounts they use to thwart efforts by victims to catch them by phishing and threatening as well as perpetuating the con in the official threads to make it look more real.  If anyone wants to be involved in my efforts to stop these thiefs send a letter by mail explaining your victimization by these cons and provide order information dates police reports information etc to the officer in charge of the investigation here in the springs, this can eventually turn into a more serious case and go federal based on the total amount involved (millions); If you are law enforcement or legal please contact officer Carnes as well

Officer Scott Carnes
4125 Center Park Drive
Mail Code 1552
Colorado Springs CO 80916

This will end badly for these criminals that is for sure. Gerald has a past littered with criminal activity and suits filed against him present and past.  Ken is a ghost who is much harder to track down physically than his really smart son Micah and his genius wife Samantha Butler (the only person to ever answer the phone at VMC and most likely the one who will be affected most by this as she has a lot of the assets in her name and we have a recording of her on the phone which would be able to be used in court) plus we know exactly where those two are.
These are cold hard facts and anyone disputing any of this is involved.   As a consumer in the United States of America you are protected by both state and federal law from having money stolen from you take action now!

GOD DUDE GIVE IT UP YOUR NO COP AND YOUR INFO THAT YOU ARE POSTING ABOUT PEOPLE IS FALSE

AWFUL FUNNY THAT I HAVE CALLED VMC MANY TIMES AND TALKED TO ALOT OF DIFFERENT PEOPLE AT THE OFFICE AND YOU CLAIM THAT SAM IS THE ONLY ONE TO EVER ANSWER THE PHONE, YOU ALSO CLAIM THAT KEN IS A GHOST AND DOES NOT EXIST WHEN I HAVE SEEN HIS STATE ID THAT HAS HIS NAME, BUT THEN I GUESS THE STATE IS TO STUPID TO KNOW THAT HE IS A GHOST IS WHAT YOUR SAYING THEN HUH?

GIVE IT A REST ALREADY NO ONE CARES WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY

Hey y'all, after being a long time lurker here I've decided to begin mining. I've rode the wave of Bitcoin from the good ole days from buying and holding (Think $0.50 a coin) and want to be "involved" now.

I know, I should have started a year ago...  Cry

I've procured several ASIC's and the first one I've gotten my hands on is giving me nothing but problems.

I have an Avalon Prospector 200 (A bit old, but still worth something) with an onboard networking chip that has CGminer embedded for standalone operation.
However, I cannot for the life of me get it to connect on my Universities network. Tried everything, searched everything, No way. They got it locked down. and the reason I'm even starting is to leech free power.

I do have a Raspberry Pi, which I have gotten the Universities approval to register and get Internet access to.

What my question is how can I replace the on board card with the Pi? I know that the current network card is powered from the miners motherboard via the USB  connecting the two boards, so I think I'll have to remove a jumper somewhere, any idea on how to do that? and how would I set up my Pi to mine using it's internet connection and CGminer.

The Avalon is meant to be standalone and is designed as such, but I am not planning on reselling it (Just mining it into irrelevancy) so I am okay with altering it as long as it still hashes.

I will be more than happy to reward someone who can walk me through this and get me up and running.

Cheers!

its easier then you think

pm me and if your in the us we can talk over the phone and i can walk ya through it

Yesterday I got a response:

Quote
Hi,

The billing system was under maintenance.
Sorry for inconvenience.

Best regards,
50BTC support team

but I still can't withdraw any coins.

Identical message received on Wednesday 05.28.14.
Unable to withdraw since Sunday 05.25.14.

Mined there before the "Big Hack" and since they re-opened without any issues and prompt payment.
Any issues were reasonably addressed and quickly responded via e-mail.
Payout issues occurred for me twice, which were resolved within 24 hrs.

These are MY experiences, nothing embellished, added or taken away.

Of course moved to another pool, which brings me to ask for suggestions. Right now at ghash.io (which in my opinion skim shares submitted) ...MY opinion...

What other "good" pools are there besides btc.guild and ghash.io. Ozcoin is history and slush's isn't a preference anymore either.

Meanwhile I cross my fingers that the payout system will be fixed and I'm able to get my measly 0.5btc ...

I would Use Eligius.st

Hi guys!

I have two Avalon 290Gh modules, bought them recently. Mining with Raspberry Pi. Now one of avalons stopped working - one LED inside is constantly on (third one from the left). Funny thing is - when I switch USB connectors (I mean this things) from one Avalon to another - problem is following connector, and another Avalon stopping. I'm sure about my PSUs, tried several of them. Can the problem be in the USB connector itself?

Yes it can be the connector

I have seen this happen also
