Crypto Crash: #hashwar Until Craig Wright Is Satisfied?
by

on 25/11/2018, 12:07:49 UTC
November 14, 2018: Bitcoin BTC hovering above $6,300. The cryptocurrency market as a whole seems stable, ready to slowly recover after painful months.

November 25, 2018: Bitcoin dumped to around $3,600 after three crashes each every five days, tearing down the whole market. The third crash happened after a substantial trading volume increase for BCHSV.

Early January 2018 total market cap of the cryptocurrency market stood at a record all-time high of close to $796b dollars. Total market cap has since crashed to $115b at the time of writing.

The reasons for the dump are manifold. But not for the crash since November 15, which originated in the Bitcoin Cash BCH fork – as you know resulting in two camps hating each other’s guts, to put it mildly.

Now Craig Wright has given an impromptu interview - which is quite shocking, to say the least:

This person, leader of the free new world Bitcoin promised?

just wait and  see for yourself, cause no one knows what will happen years from now.  If its the end of bitcoin theres nothing we can do about it. Bitcoin community is growing day by day  think of it.

True that. The whole cryptocurrency ecosystem can profit from a strong Bitcoin, yet unregulated the coin has no future.

Furthermore it's questionable how resilient Bitcoin is once regulations kick in, there will be alternative and better-positioned tokens to deliver what Bitcoin was initially created for.

Bitcoin wasn't created to become a storage of value.

This is really bothering me too as we don't know what's gonna happen in future. The Bitcoin futures is a boon or bane for Bitcoin. I have heard people saying that Bitcoin future will dump the price of BTC as there will be people who will be betting against the BTC price. Betting agains the BTC price i.e., betting on BTC price to go low will give them profits. If this is the case the market might become unstable very soon and there might be a pump and dump in the BTC market.

Not expecting it to happen overnight, but the writing is on the wall.

many believe in price more than strong technology of bitcoin

Of course governments don't believe in Bitcoin because they have no control over it.

Bitcoin Futures -- The Big Short
by

on 05/12/2017, 04:05:14 UTC
This is not about spreading rumors. This is about information that should be taken seriously:

It seems to get clearer by the day what’s really behind the CME Bitcoin futures:

According to sources three agencies are preparing to trade and bet on Bitcoin simultaneously.

Intel is that they are doing this to be able to handle Bitcoin and crash it by favoring short versus long, even if initially they end up pumping it up a bit.

Bitcoin futures pose systemic risk, says Interactive Brokers CEO
by

Could Bitcoin futures be Wall Street's way to short Bitcoin lower and lower... to get rid of the troublemaker?

Interactive Brokers' CEO implies this indirectly.

He says Bitcoin futures threaten to become a systemic risk, and Bitcoin might even become worthless:

The Grand Tezos Donation Scam?
by

on 28/10/2017, 04:57:51 UTC
Doesn't look good for "investors" -- oh wait, for "donors."

Something's fishy about one of the largest ICOs to date, Tezos. Infighting slows the project, but wasn't it made clear from the beginning that, again, all investments are actually donations only without any rights?

Can we know about Aug 1 before Aug 1?
by

Maybe I'm fantasizing but haven't markets priced in Aug 1 already?

Will we have to wait until the very day to know whether soft or hard fork or whatever?

Or can you pick up signs that the solution is decided already while cryptos are behaving like a tempest in a teapot?

Re: Asian vs. Western Investors

Rather than Asia, western investment is found high and this might be overcome by the Asian countries as more Countries are into focus of legalizing bitcoin within the country. Right now western investors are dominant in the market and they have the power to manipulate.

Investments yes, mainly money from the West, but trading these days? If you check CMC the Korean won leads many charts and yen and yuan in prominent positions...

Asian vs. Western Investors

Forgive me the classification "Asian" and "Western," am living myself in Asia, great inspiring place, there's not the slightest negative connotation in the title.

Tried to do some research on the topic, difficult to find any worthwhile information:

Are Asian and Western crypto investors behaving differently?

With many markets in firm hands of Koreans, Japanese and Chinese, what does it mean for price development and the overall cryptocurrency market / industry?

Are Asians really the gamblers we often hear? Would that prevent solid price increases?

Are Westerners really the more traditional investors looking for sustainable values and growth potential?

How would the markets behave differently with more / less Asian / Western investors?

How things are now, you consider it to be a good and healthy development, or we're rather on a risky path?

Looking for Bitcoin and altcoin writers
by
gloomboomdoom
on 15/05/2017, 04:15:02 UTC
Good day everyone!

Crypto has and is the future, this is just the beginning.

I keep observing this forum since some time now, lots of bright talented minds here.

That made me think why not offer a platform to publish reader articles and to make them available to a wider audience.

If you have some material to publish, please PM and I give you some more information.

I'm not publishing the site's link here, as this is not about link-bait or spam.

I'd be most happy to hear from you. Most people still don't know anything about Bitcoins and cryptos. Time for that to change and provide good, accurate and trustworthy information.

Thank you!

Bitcoin is and remains the standard. Other coins will find niches - unless another coin manages to achieve popular support by ease of availability and transactions.

The only danger I see comes from Ripple, but that's still far off with their top-down approach.

Interesting times!
