Maybe it's because I'm not a btc expert and therefore not able to verify his blogs today;
1) he claims he has bitcoin.

No, it seems he sold all bitcoins already. Why hold when you think bitcoins = tulips  Huh

Yes, he "have had"
" Hell, I’ve had a bitcoin wallet since 2011, when I parked a few hundred bucks in it when it was at $8 a BTC. "

I think the blogger is using tulips because as you know, tulips bloom and then dies. That's what happens to the ones on my flower bed anyway. So he's essentially saying, bitcoin will "bloom" but then it'll die off - which he advises people not to get into it and to sell what they have.

Maybe it's because I'm not a btc expert and therefore not able to verify his blogs today;
1) he claims he has bitcoin.
2) btc does not provide anonymity

so, there are a couple of questions that pops into my mind
1) anyone can find out if he still holds the bitcoin he has?
2) for that matter, can anyone find his btc address?
3) even if they can find his btc address, what's stopping him from creating a new address and sending the bitcoins to himself and presents it as him "selling" off his holdings?

Let me see if I have this correct. The same person that is comparing bitcoins to tulip, is one we're trying to save all future transaction fees for him and his family and friends, yet, instead of embracing change, of which he advocates, he opts to throw it under the bus.

~TMIBTCITW

Apart from this, it's also a very ugly article.  He even goes as far as to insult the people that embrace bitcoins and the people that have gotten it to where it is today (talking about not stroking the egos of the nerds that are a part of bitcoin).  Very big dislike to that article, maybe he did it to get some spotlight.

According to him (posted today) http://gonzalolira.blogspot.com/2013/12/a-calm-analysis-of-bitcoins-as-currency.html ; it was a fairly mild criticism.

Great prices
by

So, with BTC / USD between USD619/btc (bitstamp.net) and USD750 / btc (mtgox.com); where's the best and quickest for me to sell my bitcoins?
I don't know why the huge gap between bitstamp and mtgox; but, preferably at mtgox prices.
I have read mtgox doesn't allow USD withdrawals, is that true?

I guess at the end of the day, I'm looking for an exchange that will convert btc to usd and able to withdraw at soon as possible.

Any advise? Thanks!

With China's call for a new world reserve currency and with Saudi Arabia contemplating moving away from USD in its oil trade, the more interesting question to me is "What do you think would happen if BTC replaces USD as a world reserve currency?" I know the idea is far-fetched and very unlikely to happen, hey, can't blame a guy for dreaming!!

More competition would be for sure a good thing, but the market is still a small one. However, MTG suffered from the panic of a lot of people, one big player sold a big amount of coins and all followed and caused a DDOS of sellers.

To be fair to MtGox, I think this is true for all tradings - have you not seen stocks in equities market drop just because some big shot sold their holdings and vice versa?

how many of these online wallets sites got "hacked" and shutdown? How many times did the users get their btc back? Stats are not in the users' favor.

the 10(7) is your share portion.
Let's say for simplicity sake, the total shares to find the bitcoin is 1000; your share of the bitcoin is 10/1000 * (25 - pool charges, etc.) So, you are not actually getting 10 bitcoin.

Login to your pool ... see how much bitcoin you have earned. Maybe you can start withdrawing, which will then go to your wallet address you specify on the pool. Most of the pools have a withdrawal limit of 0.01 bitcoin if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah ... That headline got my attention though. Clicked in to find out more like DOS attack. Then again, I give them the benefit of a doubt they have no idea how to differentiate the types of attack.
