individuals must be free to choose, even those who you consider to be 'unstable.' casinos should have facilities for wellness check and exclusion in any case.

I find it strange that Bijan, Edward and Mladen pay a ton of marketing posters here on Bitcointalk, but ignore their own threads here on Bitcointalk.

That does not make much sense, if they are a honest crypto currency online casino operation!

most billionaires are too busy to post on bitcoin talk, not in the least to respond to silly takes.

Be careful because casinos that clearly copy another are very often simple scams!!!
it is certain that there is a certain similarity between some platforms/games. obviously you always have to be careful about those who copy another site because it is never a good sign of business Sad
I normally say this everytime, on some vital post in here... I don't think there's any reason I would likely fall for a scam -- the more they try to always make it look real to me, the easier it becomes for me to decipher. I'm never in a hurry for anything; I might decide to wait until whenever, but the truth is (if i ever keep anything on suspense, then there's no reason to approve it)

it's business.... I worked for a casino and I was taught how to calculate the net profit and balance an account for a local casino house... Mostimes, I get to realize the company's profit even after every sales.

Sandra 🧑‍🦰

The profit depends on the house edge of a particular game. In an ideal world all casinos would list the house edge of their games so the players understand the game they are playing.

regulations are not really "consumer protection" regulations, but instead businesses policing/auditing their customer.
heck regulations are not so much business policing.. again they are policing the customers of businesses. not the business itself, many times businesses get away with facilitating laundering of criminal activity if they simply report on the customer that requested the laundering service

I observed very similar things in finance the banks and regulators capture each other in a 'symbiotic' relationship and the customers suffer. My conclusion was that regulation is bad long-term and removes customer agency and choice.

I think it's time we start discussing more about bitcoin lightning network so that more users on this forum will learn about it and possibly start studying the set-up process, most especially now that l0tt0.com is going to support deposit and withdrawals through bitcoin lightening network come January, 2024.

I think adding LN will help enormously during high fee periods. Do you think this level of network congestion and fee is the new norm?

Re: Blockchain design wins: where are they?

Nobody's able to shut down a sufficiently decentralized system. Mainly, this benefits financial applications like cryptocurrency. If you look around, you will find there is not much incentive for people to use blockchains to solve other types of problems.
If there was no use for blockchain outside of cryptocurrency, then Amazon would not have created Managed Blockchain and IBM wouldn't have made HyperLedger Fabric. Banks in particular like them, but these are just buzzwords and I don't know why they would be interested in such tech.

Banks like chains of hashes which make it easy to verify stuff. Banks do not like decentralization. Banks will never support cryptocurrency as it competes directly with their core function.

Bitcoin was designed as a method for peer-to-peer exchanges (see quote from Satoshi in sig). It was not originally intended to support tokens or smart contracts.

I was talking with a friend about bitcoin and then had to explain to him that the whole thing is being rendered unusable by some shitty jpgs.

Ordinals are stupid.

We can't leave it alone to freedom or let what we use it for judge of conscience, some people do not have a conscience, hence regulation is advised.
I agree it's important to balance freedom and security but I'm not sure the regulations provide the security people think they do. Look at FTX, the most 'pro-regulation' voice in community for a time, was very likely just seeking greater market share and control through regulatory capture.

Do you really think regulation can protect you against people without a conscience? I'm not so sure.

The pro-regulation mooks are largely speculators.  Speculators aren't exactly renowned for their thinking, heh.  All they care about is "number go up" and they're of the belief that regulation would maybe encourage that.

Yea I've heard this idea: regulation -> adoption -> price increase -> profit.

Once you regulate BTC it adopts a lot of the properties of fiat. But why would the type of person who only uses regulated currency see any difference between regulated BTC and regulated fiat? There would be no reason for them to substitute their fiat for BTC, right?

Isn't the whole point of bitcoin permission-less exchange? I've heard people talking about the "benefits regulation will bring." But once they regulate crypto won't it lose an enormous amount of its core utility? A distributed ledger that is forced to implement changes from politicians will never allow free exchange or permission-less transactions. What's the point of it then?

So what is the pro-regulation crowd thinking in 2023? Are they confused or am I the one who is wrong here? I would appreciate any perspectives.

A bank denying your transaction to purchase crypto is exactly why BTC was invented: to allow you to transact freely.

What interests me is that it makes sense to start a “bank” that will take care of customers like traditional banks do. Opening an account, buying a crypt, maintaining a computer, etc.?

It does not make sense to have a 'crypto bank.'

A bank's core function is to maintain a ledger (a list of who owns what value). BTC is a ledger that was designed to replace this core functionality. In other words: BTC is already a bank.

The whole point of crypto was to make the process even the gap between rich and poor unfortunately it is doing the opposite quite sad to see

crypto is not a 'scam.' e.g. btc is a permission-less way to transfer value. there is of course speculative price activity in this relatively new domain.

To me it looks like the OP just wanted to create a backlink to his affiliate site. Smiley

Anyway, Aviator is a pretty basic game that is delivered on most crypto casinos via a game provider called Spribe: https://spribe.co/games/aviator
However, nowadays there are plenty of other crash games variations that are more interesting.

99% chance that OP wants to improve linking to his own site.

that is Gambling business mate, we are dealing with so much flow of money here so there is a need of Huge capital also.
if you have lack of Money then never invest in Online casino because the jackpot itself will already bring you burden to pay .

That is something that I believe much people ignore about small or new casinos and gambling services in general. Regardless of the size of the casino, they will always allow one to gamble relatively high amounts of money and use big multipliers, for the sake of them having a chance to get their initial investment back and continue to grow their business, it sounds normal; I would not expect a casino to tell me I have deposited too much crypto and I need to withdraw because they bankroll is small, that would only make anyone to feel unsure on the integrity of the casino and just quit gambling there.
Since a business of this kind cannot afford to turn away big gamblers or high rollers then they need to give high priority to their bankroll, so they are able to pay wins and further increase their reputation among the community.
Having a bigger bankroll for paying winners will come in the initial detriment against the budget for art and Interface of the webpage. To me it is about setting priorities and grow the business steadily.

I've seen some small casino projects on here with some interesting ideas that I think are operating 100K bankroll or less.

It limits the max payou but if the games are fun they probably attract some players, no?

Re: Which are best stake alternatives
by
goldenmonke
on 25/12/2023, 20:03:49 UTC
We cannot be precise in saying that this casino is the safest and this one is not the safest for use not until we have a particular encounter with the way they operate in their services, gambling is just about personal interest and not on what is being common by other gamblers in using their own respective gambling platforms, everyone has his own choice and why they have made the decision.
We should gamble only legits casino site that have been in the system for years and absolutely not all these new sites. There's nothing as the best stake alternatives, because our choices differs, the casino site you can like can be different from the casino I'm acquainted with. We just have to do what we think is right and ensure we don't fall back to scratch, rather we keep winning in all rounds. Playing in casino, we ought to firstly understands the necessary features, the terms and conditions involved which is primarily the exact details we looked at.

In the event that you're looking for a casino site that is legitimate, how do you do it? because I myself have played on a site that gave me a big win, and I withdrew all the winnings but I waited a long time for the payment of the winnings that I got, and in the end I got nothing, because the site did not pay the winnings that I had withdrawn or I cashed out. also they even locked my account that had received a big win. this is my experience in online slot gambling and because of this incident I am always careful in choosing online gambling sites.

and this did not happen only to me, my friend also experienced the same thing as me, sadly the winnings that my friend got were bigger than the winnings I got. of course this is not a good thing, because I feel cheated so I tried to communicate with the staff on the site but there was no more response. I hope this does not happen to anyone else.

i think any site where you can interact with the owner in some capacity is less likely to scam you. if you look back the owners of stake were always pretty engaged with their players on primedice and other projects before.
