Hey VH or Sidehack,

tried to use: May 26 @ 9e51f0b- cgminer-4.11.1-windows-gekko-9e51f0b.7z

but unable to initialize  USB.  verified zadig. older Dec2018 build works great.

my issue is that i have my stick set up as individual workers.  I have 3 of them. and i've used my sticks serial numbers to get cgminer to run 3 instances, each with a different worker setup.

I'd love to use the freq range additions, but for some reason the newer may 26th ver does not work this way by adding this to run:

Code:
cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://us-east.stratum.slushpool.com:3333 -u xxxxxx.worker1 -p x --gekko-serial "GS-10031593" --gekko-newpac-freq 515

does the newer build not recognize serial's?

maybe there is a better way to run 3 sticks, but i can get them all to hit around 300ghz combined on my pool this way.  but i feel like they can go faster.

@sidehack and @kano

thank you guys,  adding --gekko-serial and running 3 instances of cgminer really got it going!
i have 2 sticks running around 110 gh/s around 515mhz and one at 450 now clocking around 90gh/s
i ended up setting each as a different worker in my pool
If i have not said it before, the help from the gekko team and everyone on this forum for hobby miners like me is fantastic.
you have now got a buyer of your products for life!  keep it up!

now to watch my electric bill!

How do you run cgminer and tell it which stick to use?
i dont mind running different instances, do i just disable the 2 other sticks in each instance, or is there a code that i can use for each one in my config?

Thanks again for all the advice.

I picked up the 700w power, removed my gtx560
all thats running now is the usb hub (PCIe, 12v rail) with 3 newpacs, and a couple of harddrives running onboard video

i am concerned that i have to crank up my freq to 505mhz for it to get stable.  Anything lower or higher gives me nonce errors or ASIC offline resets.

I tried running the new build again, and adding the noboost code, and tune down 90, and setting the freq at 500 the auto tuner dropped my sticks down to under 70mhz and my pool gave me (too low difficulty) errors.

my question is, should i be concerned of the freq (i do have fans on the sticks)?  everyone else seems to get 100gh/s share with lower freq with a similar build from what i've read?

if the auto tune wont work for me for some reason, can i set the freq by stick instead of globally for all 3 of them?
GSH 1 - runs about 20gh/s lower than the other 2 sticks, and misses nonce and resets fairly often.

Team,

i have two more n00b questions.

Is there anyway to make each miner its own worker in my pool through CG miner?
or do all of them together become one worker, technically?

i.e..

Code:
us-east.stratum.slushpool.com:3333 -Gekko-newpac-GSH:0 -o username.worker1 -p x   --gekko-newpac-GSH:1 -o username.worker2 -p x

before i spend money on another PSU, if i pulled out the GTX card and used onboard video (which is fine for me, im not doing anything with it other than this), i bet i could get some more power out of the PCIe rail.

i really appreciate the help with this team!
I'm never expecting to mine to make myself rich, i just find it fascinating and a fun hobby project.  the Gekko team has really made it easy to learn about mining, and to get it going!  and support so far has been great.  You guys taking care of the n00bs is what makes me want to continue to purchase these items.  Now I need some Gekko vinyl stickers to put on my car!

Mainboard: M5A88-V EVO - ASUS
CPU: AMD FX-4100
(core voltage is running about about 1.0V right now)

(this compy was originally built to be my media center DVR.  picked up a fire recast for OTA recording, so needed to do something with the rig)

this is the power supply in the rig.  only other things running is a old gtx 560, the mb and a harddive

edit

pulled one miner off the hub, and ran 2 at 450mhz and it got pretty stable (running dec18 build), anything lower than that i get resets and missing nonce
i guess i need more power to run 3..

im having so much trouble with this.
I have sidehacks usb port and 3 miners and i cant get them running well at all.  If i just do one it runs fine, the best at 350mhz (about 65gh/s) any other speed resets and no nonce errors,

i have tried --gekko-noboost, setting the freq, taking it away.  I have not turned or moved any of the voltage.

I have tried dec 18 build and this new one to test

auto tune takes me to low eff mode

any advice would be great!

Tried out 363d879

used code:

Code:
-o stratum+tcp://us-east.stratum.slushpool.com:3333 -u  xxxx.xxxx -p x --gekko-newpac-freq 500 --suggest-diff 512 --balance --gekko-noboost

no nonce on 500 ---> 200mhz
no nonce on 200 ---> 187.5mhz
never could get it stable after running for a while, always under 50% WU^

however, if i use the Dec 18 build, i can get 350mhz going, with an average of 64gh/s

looks like i figured out the "missing nonces" and the "unhealthy miner" errors i was getting, i got my stick from Amazon.

missing nonces is probably your share is not fast enough for your pool, so getting a fan and speeding up might fix it?

unheathly miner i am guessing is that your chip is too hot?   I just upgraded my cgminer to the newest one from Dec 2018 - the one linked in then PDF that came with the chip is an older version.

i used this code to get it started:

Code:
cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://us-east.stratum.slushpool.com:3333 -u  xxxxxxxxxxxx.xxxxxxxxx -p x --gekko-newpac-freq 100 --suggest-diff 512 --balance

after a couple of days messing with it, and reading through this fourm, make sure you have the most up to date cgminer, a fan, a powered usb, and you set your start code correctly.

Hi team

just got my new newpac and im getting an "unheathly miner" error on slushpool once it connects to a node.
any support would be great.  its plugged into a 2.0 slot with a powered USB hub

Everything else seems to run fine, get a ton of missing nonces until it finds one
