Quality posts that add value to the community are more likely to earn merits. But I'm not getting too 😆
if you have unmerited posts that you think deserve to get merit, there are some members who created threads specifically for that, you can find them on Beginners & Help board.

here's one from Fillippone
[Merit] Share your best posts/threads with Fillippone to be merit assessed

Isn't it will noted as violating a forum rule aint it?
it's not, you are just basically asking them to review your post and if it deserves merit or not. in the end, it will still be up to them if the post you shared on their thread is worth giving merit or not. also, as you can see the thread has 60 pages, if it was against forum rules that thread will either be locked or deleted.

@OP sorry if this post is off-topic

Just recently shared one thread above link you mentioned thanks @acroman08.

There is no other way. . . Sad
May I ask why "they" donated that many dust transactions? Were those different people or was it one person?

It's unclear why multiple small donations as dust transactions, were made. It could be from different people or one person, the intent behind such transactions is often uncertain.

Okay, I will make this question short.
If I'm to receive like 30 different deposits from 30 different wallets into one wallet, which will make all these transactions appear like separate outputs if I want to send them all at once to one wallet,

So my question is, is there any possible way of sending all the transactions out as one output to a new wallet in order for it to be smaller in size and the transaction fee to be lower?

I know about coin control using electrum, which I can control and send bit by bit, which will also cost me a fee.

When receiving many small deposits in different wallets, sending them all at once to a new wallet may not significantly reduce fees. Use a wallet with fee optimization for better cost efficiency when combining multiple inputs into one output.

Scam emails (one of them)

I cannot analyze specific emails, but common scam emails related to cryptocurrencies often involve unsolicited investment opportunities, requests for personal information, or urgent actions. Be cautious and verify sender legitimacy before engaging.

I consider these type of email as a scam spam mails.

It's like you unlocked a secret for those seeking merits to rank up and I won't be surprised if some new accounts could be flooding their thread with edited pictures of sportsbet in their phone in the next few days hehe. Seriously speaking though it's not like they are sending merits indiscriminately in their own thread to be considered as incentivized posting.

Getting merits on Bitcointalk should come from genuine contributions. Instead of sharing edited pictures, engage meaningfully in discussions. Quality posts that add value to the community are more likely to earn merits.

Lets assume that by mistake satoshi moves his coins. What would happen to bitcoin?

If Satoshi return, satoshi's involvement might provide valuable guidance for the future development of Bitcoin, potentially enhancing its technology. However, the return could create uncertainty, causing inna market fluctuations and affecting investor confidence.

@marc3535, you can either create a symbolic link (with ln -s sourcepath linkpath) as proposed by goodbed or change the datadir in your bitcoin.conf and make it point to the directory that contains your bitcoin data.

Hope he made it

Re: Government job or private job?
by

on 25/01/2024, 19:00:12 UTC
As they said, government job is better compare to private job because it is permanent and pensionable and the job is more secured. Though private job too some are pensionable but not permanent and not that secured. And again in private job, you have the opportunity to let them know how much you want to be paid. You can either be paid higher or lower base on how you present yourself.

Which one do you prefer if you are given an offer?

Why here is no option of either self employed or business lol 😎?

Hello senior citizens and my fellow newbies gambler's, now I gat a straight forward question for you all.
How do I prepare myself for my first gambling experience?
What are the things I should expect as a first time gambler?
How do we react to my first gambling results be it winning or lose?

Online gambling is designed for casinos to make money. The excitement of winning may keep you playing, but the odds are stacked against players. Be cautious and gamble responsibly.

Re: PI Network! A huge trap[Warning!]
by

on 25/01/2024, 17:21:35 UTC
please anyone can give a summary that i start using their app or this is a scam.

why i use pi or why i don't use pi?
The thing is they haven't launched it, so you can't tell if it's scam or not, but I have a friend that have passed his KYC (Know your customer) and have transferred his transferable pi to his wallet,
I also have a friend that sold his pi to someone for a huge amount of money, and was still looking for more to buy, so I think if pi will be something big then that will be in years time, and not definitely this year or next year.
That's pretty sad if it managed that they just sold data about the people who trusted in this Pi network. It's just not gonna work, you know? I do a lot of people asking to "buy" the Pi they have generated but all I see with it is a possible scam.

It hurts now knowing later after 1226 days. Nearly 16,000 coin https://i.ibb.co/VVTrcj8/Screenshot-20240121-134856-Pi.png

5. ETFs destroy pseudo anonymity, because it is highly regulated with strict KYC requirements implemented to identify every trader on their platform.

ETFs, like stocks, follow strict rules. They need personal details (KYC) from everyone, so using them removes the privacy that comes with cryptocurrencies.

Re: Bitcoin core is again downloading the whole blockchain
by

on 25/01/2024, 16:02:15 UTC
Hi, I had Bitcoin Core up and running on my macbook. When I restarted the macbook this morning, Bitcoin Core started again downloading the entire blockchain. I selected the right folder, I have an external SSD drive on which I previously already had downloaded the whole blockchain. Also I tried to click "reset options", but after restarting bitcoin core it again doesn't connect with the existing blockchain on the SSD drive but starts downloading from scratch. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Ensure Bitcoin Core is closed, then open Terminal and navigate to the folder where Bitcoin Core is installed. Run the command to create a symbolic link to your blockchain data on the external SSD--

Code:
ln -s /Volumes/YourSSDPath/Bitcoin ~/.bitcoin

Replace "YourSSDPath" with the actual path to your external SSD. After that, restart Bitcoin Core, and it should connect to the existing blockchain on the SSD.

Re: Bitcoin, when to buy
by
goodbed
on 25/01/2024, 09:58:36 UTC
The growth of Bitcoin over years have made it one of the most sorted after asset in the world right now and to me it's a lifetime opportunity that needed to be seized,

So my question is when is the best time to buy Bitcoin?

Many people that have been into the industry before I even came in have mostly suggested the DCA method, some advice I allowed it to drop to my convenience price before I buy.

The regret of not buying Bitcoin in 2011 is a sentiment shared by many, considering the remarkable price appreciation since its early days. However, dwelling on past opportunities can hinder future decision-making. Instead, focus on the current landscape. While hindsight is 20/20, Bitcoin's potential remains a topic of discussion. It's crucial to base investment decisions on thorough research, market analysis, and personal financial goals. Bitcoin's volatility creates opportunities, but it's equally essential to manage risk. Consider strategies like DCA, which involves regularly investing fixed amounts regardless of price fluctuations. Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and broader economic factors. Assess your risk tolerance and invest responsibly. Bitcoin's journey is ongoing, and while the past is immutable, the future presents opportunities for informed and strategic participation in the cryptocurrency market.
