Re: Now Moonforum.net is next Bitcointalk Forum

How do you know most of the bitcointalk member moving to moonforum? I think it's just a small site and you came here to advertisement moonforum, I don't think it'll replace bitcointalk become top cryptocurrency forum, don't waste your time  Smiley

Not sure if moonforum is quite up to Bitcointalk however it will be very interesting to see how the rules here play out over a year or two.  If this site sets the standards to high and a majority of people find and group on another site it's possible all the earning potential goes to that site and Bitcointalk looses out on the monetary site of crypto.  We will have a good clean board however I would thing the posting would fall off by 90%.  Are people here for the money or the great discussion.  We may find out shortly.

i have been holding for now  for about 2 years  now , i have bitcoin and siacoin and apx
whats your take on siacoin and apx ? should i sell  and get into something else ?

thanks

Not sure on APX but I have been a SIA holder from last year and I have recently sold it off in a lateral move.  I purchased ARK because it's a 10% per year POS.  I figure with the market getting hammered I may as well try to pick a coin which will work for me and not against me.

Re: Just wondering how much you've earned from cryptocurrenices? -80% for me

Let's be honest. I invested in ETH since April and hold it till now.  Cry

I think most of us are down from our initial investment or our old highs about 80% so your not alone.  Unless you trusted Tether in the beginning or cashed out your down big right now.  At this point the only thing to do is hodl.  Your in a solid coin.  99% of the new ico's are on ETH.  Just sit back and wait for the manipulation to swing the other way.

Re: Ethereum is the future of crypto, bitcoin is not.

ETH will allow $2T of underground economy to become more structured (and possibly less underground) through DAOs.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/04/23/americas-2-trillion-shadow-economy-is-the-recessions-big-winner/

If it captures 1% of that $2T, it is equivalent to $20B, which would put ETH somewhere around $150. Those who sell for $2 will shit bricks, eat sand and may even commit suicide in the years to come. If it captures 10% of that ETH will be $1500. I know it sounds crazy, but so did the Internet in 1995.

Once it's launched their main focus will be on scalability, which I think is the real reason crypto is not ready for mainstream. Once they can handle 100K TPS (and I'm sure they will), it's game over.
Interesting post from the past.  Looks like it didn't quite pan out.  Ethereum is very powerful coin and it is no match for Bitcoin.  Bitcoin is only going down to a new technology or a government coin that is forced on us.  I don't think a coin, no matter how great the idea, can surpass Bitcoin at this point.

Re: QUESTION: Can you choose a specific address?
by

Does anyone know if it is possible to create an address for a crypto but you choose your own address?  I mean it would have to be an unused address of course.  Just curious.  Or, are address creations always random?

I sit there when bored and click through 1000's of them to get address that end in English words.  This way I can quickly and easily spot check my address when transferring funds.  Would be cool if you had one that was a complete sentence or something.  I usually go for a 3 letter word at the end.  Best i have gotten after many attempts is LEGOS (5 letter word)

Re: Altcoin prices now the real price?
by
goodman4hire
on 17/09/2018, 13:59:20 UTC
Looking at the investments I made in altcoins this time last year they are now at less than half the price.

So the investor lost faith, doesn't think this technology in a coin is worth as much as he was made to believe (surprise surprise).

You may say that It's because it follows bitcoin, but say you need to stop dreaming and come back to reality because BTC is still nearly double the price it was this time last year.

But are we at the bottom? Is the price now the REAL price of an altcoin.

I believe we are at a bottom but this is a completely manipulated market.  The alts are whatever the whales are willing to pump them up to to sucker in new meat.  Remember they must pump this up to get paid.

Re: Why everyone becoming the holder?
by
goodman4hire
on 16/09/2018, 17:46:43 UTC
No offense, but I think holding coins at this bear market doesn't any sense. Why is everyone becoming the crypto holder? From the Legendary to a newbie, most of the people suggest to hold, But why? Yes, I know holding coin may give a bug rewards in future because I was a holder too. I had 15K USD, and my all of USD becomes less than 4K USD in front of my eyes. I just keep checking my wallet and every time my feelings were the same " sucks". Are you holding to be a millionaire like some people who bought bitcoin at 5 USD or less price and sold in more than 10K USD?

I did not hold for lose my capital. Did you? Then why you still holding and losing your money. Please kindly learn to trade. By trading your coins, in this bear market, you can make a lot of money within a few days to months.

I sold my all coins in the last month when bitcoin huts 8400 USD, and then I keep continue trading. In this one month, I made more than 2200 USD Profits. Now I had all of past holding coins with extra 2200 USD Profit.

If you can't trade or if you totally newbie here, then you may keep holding. But at least I suggest learning how to trade. This is my personal opinion. You may follow it or not. Best of luck.

Thank You.

So far you have made a brilliant trade.  The question is how many of those can you string together.  Was it skill or luck?  Bitcoin could have just as easily turned around at 8350 and ripped your head off.  If you think you have identified a trend or patter then trade it and profit.

Re: Still did not get bounty rewards?
by
goodman4hire
on 16/09/2018, 17:45:10 UTC
Yes this is my questions among all bounty hunters. In my 4 months on doing bounty i campaign i have promoted 2 ICO's already and the first one still counting the stakes and still working on the distribution of the tokens. Some had receive already and i thought about receiving too but until now no tokens found in my digital wallet even after searching it on etherscan if there are relatively made a transaction to my digital wallet address and there is none. I have gave my effort and quality time for them to promote their project that includes also the resources being used like internet connection fee and the electricity are all wasted for the project i guess. I think this could be my last project to promote and if i still will not get any rewards then quitting is an option.

Yeah unfortunately bounty hunters are seen as scum of the earth.  Especially after the work is done.  Just sit tight and hope for the best.  Your probably realizing this is not a great way to make money.  More of a hobby and something to do for fun.

Re: Can any other crypto replace bitcoin?
by
goodman4hire
on 16/09/2018, 17:42:17 UTC
Other coins can come along and out do Bitcoin with technology however that is not enough to take the #1 spot.  There will have to be an compelling reason (government sanction) for Bitcoin to lose the #1 spot.  If it does lose out due to any government or banker aggression I then predict Monero will be the #1 coin.

Seems like a good risk.  I honestly don't see how you could loose unless Bitcoin launches due to some unexpected news.  I would think you could double to triple up on the play.  I have been contemplating the same move actually.  Will wait closer to the end of the month.

Re: Why KYC is important?
by

KYC is important for governments and banks as they will need to tie your wallet address to your name.  Once that's done the trap will be set.  This KYC is an early attempt.  All they need are some useful idiots screaming and demanding it.  Forum is full of that so in time we should be complete tax slaves of the world powers.

Re: Coins kept in exchange, are they safe?
by

Coins in the exchange never are safe.  The exchanges are for temporary quick trades and then right back into your personal wallet.  I have had some bad experiences in the past with Houbi coin and after that I never stay on the exchange for more than 24hrs.

Yeah I believe in the crypto market and the blockchain.  This rocket is getting ready for take off. $6,000 is holding as a launch pad area.  I would not risk being out at this point.  IF the ETF is approved it will go straight to 10k within seconds.

Re: My Sad Story With Ethereum!
by
goodman4hire
on 14/09/2018, 04:04:06 UTC
I have joined in this form in November 2017! Before that, I did not know about Ethereum but I had a group for buy - Sell bitcoin! When my elder brother told about Ethereum and he ordered me to keep an eye on coinmarketcap always! That time Ethereum price was 330 USD and after few days, it went to 290 USD and the ln the bull market was started! But after almost one year, I have to see Ethereum price at 170 USD! I am feeling too much bad. What about you guys?

Everyone who stayed in the game and didn't bail took huge losses (form the highs).  It looks like Bitcoin is hitting the bottom as it keeps bouncing off of 6k.  I think in the next 12 to 24 months your investment will be looking very good.

Re: ETH or EOS? which coin will survive?
by

Ethereum will win.  Thats an easy one.  You want to know why?  Easy.  Go buy 10 EOS and put them in a private wallet.  Good luck.  I will see you in a few hours/days as you try to get all that to work.  No one in the mainstream is going to go through all that.  LOL.  Using Ethereum is a stretch for them.  EOS is out of the question.

None of the merchants I currently deal in Bitcoin with have told me they don't accept anymore.  I use 4 monthly services and they all take Bitcoin or Ethereum.  Everything is fine on our end.  Not everyone is freaking out about the price.  Some people are actually using Bitcoin vs trading it for Alts.

I sent my son some Bitcoin tonight.  He is 11 and I was sending him 10 bucks.  The fee for Regular on blockchain.info was .03 cents!  Transaction also went through quickly thank god.  11 year olds want faster transaction speed than adults.  Bitcoin is cheaper than Ethreum right now.

Re: ICO prediction 2019
by
goodman4hire
on 09/09/2018, 17:10:35 UTC
I think that in 2019 ICO will be still alive, ICO investors will be smarter and only join good ICO. No more lands for bad and scam ICO. 2018 is not a good year for investors because most of token dumped below ICO price. Do you think 2019 is a good year for ICO and all tokens pump after ICO like it was in 2017?

ICO's will come back when the market comes back.  Notice everything dealing with crypto is in the gutter.  Airdrops suck, bounties suck and mining sucks.  About the only place that doesn't suck right now is trading (assuming you have skills).  Everything else is dead right now.

Re: Will Ethreum bounce back ?
by
goodman4hire
on 09/09/2018, 17:07:34 UTC
Of course it will.  Almost every token in existence is on Ethereum.  People will need Ethereum for gas fees and to create ICO's.  Ethereum is much like Bitcoin.  It will most likely always remain the #2 over all coin and the #1 Smart contract coin.  I think it's fairly safe to invest at these levels.
