.07 percent is still quite a large number. And it means it has a lot of room for growth.

Sometimes I feel that the government is the biggest winner in this whole crypto thing. It's a zero sum game, but they collect the taxes.

Re: Centralized exchanges have become the banks of the cryptocurrency world

Great article, and I think that might be a top two problem in the crypto world. I used to think it was just Binance charging the equivalent of millions of dollars to get listed. I used to hold this coin that had no funding, all community driven. A lot of hope and excitement, except that it's going to go nowhere because to get listed on a major exchange requires hundreds of thousands of dollars that's not available.

I saw that after the plain crash Bitcoin in Iran shot up to $24,000. That's insane, and I do not like the reasons why it shot up. But I'm guessing that will have an effect on the price here.

Re: Where should we focus this year?
by

We should be focused on a way to stay focus on crypto during a bear market. Not let the distractions of life keep you away from what can be a great opportunity.
in this bear market if you are careful in trading you will get a lot of profit, a lot of coins are having pumps now, ATOM, AOA, INS are having pumps this week, I think the altseason will come

We should also focus on being smart. After the start of a pump is not the right time to buy.

Re: Cryptocurrency and Remittences

Why is the Libra dream dead? (Which I hope it is.)

Maybe because it's backers are withdrawing from the project and Facebook's prime market US doesn't like Libra's concept.
For the use of remittance, bitcoin could still be a good option. Though it's fee seems large for small transactions, it's much better than swift fees or western union fees for sending remittance. There are other options like lightning network or the BEP2 token from binance but it would depend on the parties involved more than the choice of currency.

Thank you. Yeah, I just read that all of their partners are backing away from it. I just don't trust facebook so I'm glad.

Re: hackers becoming smarter than exchanges?
by

This is not new, hackers are also opportunist. They are much like a magnet attracted to metal (money). However, companies and end-users aren't doing what they need to defend themselves. Do you think there's a conspiracy about this? As the old cliche goes by, an enemy will get close information to his enemy and they use it as an asset.

The best thing to do is to stay clear from the enemy. In this case by keeping your money out of the exchanges and in a secure computer.

It's not that simple. Hackers will always have the upper hand because in technology you cannot protect all the vulnerabilities that you are not even aware of. It's just the nature of technology.

And even just constantly changing the technology is no good, because then you open yourself up for more unseen exploits.

Re: Cryptocurrency is a trending topic all over the world?

Unfortunately it's trending down. I talked to my mother about it the other day and she said that it has not been on the news as much as of late. Compared to before.

Maybe other people not talking about crypto because the market now are not good. But I see on social media crypto is not really trending but there are some people always talking about it and I guess those are the investors.

My mother is not into crypto. She's just your average regular person. What I meant in my posts is that it's not on the daily mainstream news.

This is relatively normal. Bit coin once went from $32 to $2. (How I wish I could go back in time.) If you go back in time to a year and a half ago, you would say that the current Bitcoin market looks very very good.
