Re: Should continue join ico?

Truly, Investing in ICOs may be very profitable, but actually it’s pretty hard to find and pick a good ico to invest. Because we all know that  often it would be more likely to be a scam, this is such a big risk in ICO project. I think that perhaps you join in this project, because as you’ve said that this project is quite successful. Besides, you’re better off to find out more information related to this project to make up your mind whether you should or not, you must be sure before investing that can help you avoid losing. Good luck!

Re: Never invest no product ICOs

Investing in no product ICOs is sentencing your money and the cryptos which you have invested into that project to a quick death. No product ICOs have nothing to offer and such there is no need and use for their coins in the real word which means that these coins have a limited amount of time to spend in the market before they die. It is way too risky to invest in such an ICO.

Re: Why is Bitcoin difficult to understand?
by

on 27/06/2018, 13:41:44 UTC
It is difficult to understand because the area of knowledge is in the field of computer where most people don't want to explore more. In the world of computer or digital as you may say ordinary people only settle to basic information as long as it can be used on the task at hand. Where as fully understanding bitcoin requires going beyond basic knowledge in digital system.

I have 0 merits.
How i can get Merit points?
What are the requirements for posts to gain merit? Huh

Here is how you can get merits:

1) Stop making these posts about merit system and start contributing quality posts here. Initially, you might not get any merits but merit sources will spot you soon.

2) Go to merit stats page and see all posts getting good number of merits. Try to make posts like those to increase your chances.

Finally, do not beg for merit. I think everyone is capable of earning merits here, just be patient and be ready to improve. Best of luck. Smiley

Yea ofcourse I think that would compell them to research more and more to have good post that will enrich their knowledge

Let me quote all posts you made after posting this reply here :

You should have quality posts and for that you need to have enormous venture in btc world

Not a bad idea at all. But will manager enforce it?

I now know that love is having a girl in life whose tears runs only for you on your collar and her smile is only the cause of your happin

Looks like some people are not going to improve at all. If you did a lot of research for making those posts, I advise you to save that time and utilize it for something more important for yourself.

Re: How to earn merits easily ?

on 07/03/2018, 03:53:05 UTC
How many days it took you to gain 10 merits? lets say 'x' days. Then to gain 100 you require 10x days simple LOL

It does not work that way:

1) Initially the member is not aware about the forum rules and is also new here and thus not very much vigilant. I think to get merits one should be  a good observer and it can come with time only. One should keep a close watch on what type of posts are getting merits, which sections are often visited by merit sources and so on.

2) New members are mainly asking questions initially as they have doubts about investing in bitcoins or alt  coins. I have not seen any question being merited. Once you become old here, you start posting answers based on knowledge acquired and start getting merits. So initial 10 merits might be harder to get.

Re: Ideas for improving post quality?

Write the words "quality post" and post it and Voila! You have created a quality post LOL

Does not seem to be working. Your post that I have quoted contains those words but it still looks like shit post. Try other variations next time.

Read first what is the topic all about. Reply what is really in your heart...express it through a good grammar and quality post. Select word which is common and do not used unfamiliar word. Just be your self in answering the topic.

I think the members should spend more time on reading first. This alone will solve most of the problems. Especially, the members who are replying in meta section need to be aware of the latest rules here. Then only can they can give appropriate replies to the questions being asked by new members.

⭐ Merited by krishnaverma (1)
2. For a Legendary member, receiving Merit should have a restriction or (may be just) don't apply Merit for them
-Merit is a form of evaluating a good post. For a Legendary member however in terms of ranking up that merit just became a waste.

A lot of members here have suggested the same in different threads here about the merit system. Here is why the admin might have ruled this possibility:

1) He might have planned a future change to the system requiring certain number of merits for all ranks to maintain the current rank.

2) Since a members also gets some Smerits on receiving merits, it gives legendary member a chance to merit other members.

3. Accounts ever logged in or even has created from the same IP should not be able to merit each other at all.
-It's really possible that these people know each others personally, may be family members or so. They will obviously try to favour each others with merits.

I am not sure that this will work. There are so many ways to exploit this, I mean there are hundreds of free proxy. One can even buy dedicated IPs for multiple profiles. depending how much he is earning from his profile here.

I don't say about developers or about rich people. I say about just ordinary people from poor countries like Indeonesia etc. who trying earn some money without special education or other skills. Ofcourse spammers and farmers must be banned and I full support whoever fighting against them. But that's the charge about one merit, crushed me...

It is fine if they want to earn here but they have to follow the rules first. If you think there is good money to be made with bounties here, work for it. Also, we should understand that this forum needs to be spam free and credible if we want those bounties to exist forever.

Re: Why is the forum a battleground? Is this why Theymos created this forum for?
by

on 14/02/2018, 19:18:06 UTC
I'm not against the DT system/DT members or Merit system. My concerns are more about the situations arises due to those systems.
I was just wondering about how the battleground can be stopped, maybe some specific rules can stop? I don't know, but I believe some rules can be very useful.

Simple solution is making an addition in official thread that new threads about the merit system will be deleted. And then deleting such threads made thereafter. Also, I think that official thread should be made sticky. It is fine if we have members discussing pros and cons of merit system but it should not be repeated in very new thread.

As we see BTC price going down and down, where is the bottom?

There is no fixed level to which it can go. If it drops more than 40% now, you will see huge panic and it may get destroyed completely. Let us hope this does not happen.

Re: Only a wet dream from me?
by

on 05/02/2018, 18:37:58 UTC
OK, this could be only a wet dream from me but I try to think positive. But again it came to my mind and I decided to write it down:

There are very few people who holds an enormous amount of bitcoins. Could it happen, if someone from them decide to share a percentage of their bitcoins to all other wallets that holds only a little amount to give all poor wallet-owners power at a specified time in the future when there's an urgent need for all of us (global financial breakdown or something similar)?

You mean someone doing charity in Bitcoins. That is good but it should go to poor people who need it most.

Re: Are the crypto and financial markets tied?
by

on 05/02/2018, 18:36:42 UTC
I know many people like to view crypto as alternative investment to the financial market, but it's hard not to notice the mirroring trends. The crypto market goes on an all time bull run in unison with the stock market. Now as the stock market begins to tumble so too does crypto. In the future we envision crypto to be independent of the centralized markets, but in the present what do you think is causing this trend ??

They work on same basic principle- human emotions. But they do not affect each other much in my opinion.

If you invested at high levels $15000 or so, there is no point in selling in loss with fear. Wait for 3 months and sell when it reaches at least $20000.

Re: Good News vs. Bad FUD (How these affect markets?)
by
gordeevaar
on 05/02/2018, 18:30:35 UTC
It is interesting to me how it seems that bad publicity, fud, rumors, news, announcements, etc in the press can have a devastating affect on markets. Sometimes these are legit sources and sometimes they are complete speculation and reports that have no basis of verifiable information and even with factual debunking of rumors the affects on the market are noticeable. And on the flip side when positive news comes out about blockchain use cases, companies utilizing the tech, the magnitude that this tech has on so many industries, and/or cryptocurrency adoption, it seems the market doesn't react in the same way. Like bad news is three steps backwards and good news is one step forward.

Do you think Bitcoins reached this price level without any manipulation ? A lot of that good news is fake as well.

Re: With the newest news from China, how much BTC did you buy?
by
gordeevaar
on 05/02/2018, 18:28:53 UTC
Hello everyone!

So i have to ask... With the newest ban in China, the price is obviously falling again. Also the US banks baning credit card use to buy crypto hurts too. So i have to ask... How much BTC did you buy in this unexpected flash sale? Or are you waiting for the 6000$ mark?

Also, if there is someone with conenxions to China, what do people planning on doing there now? Will they try using VPN? I think it would be too much trouble for the common folk... On the other hand, it will put away the weak ones and onyl strong will remain...

In my opinion, someone over there is filling their pockets with BTC right now. In few months, we wil see the Ban released with some "regulations in mind". And someone will be really, really rich...

I keep buying some amount every month. This is being done for last one year and have never cashed out. My investment is almost four times now.

I do not think I will be alive to see such a system but my kids may be using. In developing countries, 70% population have not even heard about Bitcoins.
