I believe mine were purchased on Mt. Gox before the whole scandal. I did however mine a few satoshis back in 2012 but those are long gone.

Instead of thinking that bitcoin itself will get me rich I believe this is a great opportunity for many aspiring entrepreneurs to test the waters. Nothing more exciting then creating yourself a job in a new market.

Definitely smart to get some numbers running on the cost of the hardware, electricity, bandwidth, and any other requirements needed to host the machine. As the others have stated, having a reason for running the node (research purposes) will be your best bet.

We really do need to get more hashpower into the hands of bitcoin users. The centralization happening in China is scary. I'm hoping to hear some big news from BitFury and Bitmaintech.

Btw what happened to Spondoolies? Are they not still in the consumer game?

Sorry guys, I sold my coins a few months ago, turned off my miner, and stopped running a full node. Should've cashed out when it hit $0.50 due to the pump but missed that opportunity.

I really do hope to see this coin succeed but without a team of developers I don't see this happening. Good luck to all the Verters out there and thanks for the memories.

[WTS] 2 x Lamassu Douro BTM
by

on 10/12/2015, 18:36:07 UTC
I have for sale 2 (LIKE NEW) Lamassu Douro's located in Honolulu, HI for $4000/per machine. Please read the terms below, they are subject to change during negotiation.

A little history on the two machines:

Both machines are Douro's purchased directly from Lamassu on May 13th, 2014 and have been in our possession ever since. In the meantime, the machines were never publicly deployed and have signs of very little to no use. They are 100% working and have remained indoors in excellent condition. We have applied software updates from Lamassu as they became available and also upgraded the WiFi antennas (provided by Lamassu). To give you another idea of the condition, less than 100 notes have passed through the bill acceptor. These machines were used to briefly test the system and that is it.

Due to unfortunate circumstances my company has decided to pull out of the bitcoin operator business and is in the process of liquidating assets.

Included:
2 x Lamassu Douro (https://lamassu.is/product/douro/)
Mounting plate & bolts, power cord

(ONLY IF PURCHASING BOTH MACHINES TOGETHER)
Piper Paper Wallet (http://cryptographi.com/products/piper) = $80 + Shipping

Images of the machines and including a timestamp of my business card will be available upon request from serious inquiries.

TERMS & PAYMENT: I will gladly accept bitcoin or wiretransfer, escrow will be required (this can be discussed at later time), buyer will take care of all shipping and customs fees. We will provide our own insurance on the devices during transit. Receipts are available for all devices and will be provided once deal is agreed upon.

NO TRADES

Terms and conditions will be finalized upon agreement of deal between both parties.

No idea how to change auto payout amount. The field is locked and I've tried using my Google Auth to enter in my 6 digit code into the One Time Password box to no avail.

I am not sure if you get a mail when 2FA is enabled but try checking your email for a mail with link to unlock the amount & address fields.
Ah I'm an idiot, that worked. Thank you!

Okay... updated to 14.4... rather, downgraded to 14.4 and changed some settings with .conf and now it works.
Yes, I had the same luck as you. It seems for Windows machines that 14.4 drivers work.

I finally got the hashing to work on Windows 10 Pro 64bit using the 14.4 Catalyst drivers.

http://i.imgur.com/WrnaKsj.png

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

sgminer.exe --no-submit-stale --kernel Lyra2REv2 -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3340 -u gotchay.worker -p xxx -g 2 -w 64 -I 18

1. Download sgminer (sgminer_binaries.zip) from: https://github.com/djm34/sgminer/releases/tag/5.1.2-lyra2rev2
2. Download AMD Catalyst drivers 14.4 for your OS & install: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/amd-catalyst-14-4-whql-(14-100-april-17)-download.html
3. Add msvcr110.dll & amdocl.dll (taken from 14.4 drivers) straight into the sgminer_binaries directory. My sgminer_binaries folder: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1688863/sgminer_binaries.zip
4. Run your .bat file

Managed to run my 280x at 4,1 Mhash.

Pool reports way more than that though, between 6 and 8Mhash.
Anyone else got that too?
Could you please post your config, this would help a lot of people.

I seem to be hashing successfully but shares aren't not being submitted to the pool. Any ideas?

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

sgminer.exe --kernel Lyra2REv2 -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3340 -u x -p x -I 16

Hashrate on your screenshot is very odd: over 400 Mh/s ?

Like I said I'm lost LOL that's my entire batch file. Running on Windows 10 Pro 64bit using the 15.7.1 Catalyst drivers.

I can't seem to get my miner working using an AMD R9 280X running on Windows 10 Pro 64bit with AMD Catalyst 15.7.1 drivers. I tried copying the amdocl.dll from the 14.4 drivers along with tweaking my old sgminer config to use the new kernel/algo. No luck.

At this point it sits as an investment but I have used it in the past to pay for good/services and the occasional paying back a friend scenario.
