Do you think its worth a shot at solo mining? I've been mining in a pool and I just decided this morning to give solo mining a shot; not sure if there is some threshold I should be at as far as hash rate, but considering the diff being pretty low I figured I would try my hand at solo.

you do not need all the other stuff anymore

I'm using this as my worldcoin.conf file and am trying to solo mine using cgminer. Do you not define an address for the coins to go to? Or will it automatically just go to my worldcoin-qt wallet?

It will go to your wallet automatically, as your wallet is acting as your server.

Why is the page lagging so bad? Alot of times it just goes from "Waiting for Payment" to another "Waiting for Payment" instantly and not even at 4:59 either, it will be counted down some already. Or better yet it was verifying payment and then all of a sudden the value increased and its verifying payment again.

Just get a better host already...

Sorry Mod. Was trying to contribute to the ongoing thread for Slush's pool.  Currently they are discussing the whole Slush's Pool vs BitMinter pool, which is something that has been on my mind for a while as I try to figure out where I want to sit my miners at.

Edit: oh. Forgot about Namecoins. Perhaps they are just completely out of the picture now?
