I got five tickets that are stuck in PoS mining for ages now. They all were submitted between block 125.000 to block 129.000. Right now we are more than 10.000 blocks ahead @  139.000+
Is this still normal or is there something fishy going on? Did I forget some update or something??

This is normal, albeit a little bit unlucky. 5 tickets is not really that much. 10000 blocks meaning your ticket is only "stuck" for about 1.5 month. I have 50 tickets and I still have occasionally "no vote" for 5-6 days straight in a row. You have 10x less tickets than me and theoretically should take 10 times longer to vote, which put you at about 50-60 days period.

Re: Decred: The Sleeping Giant. 2017's Best Investment.
by

why is nearly everything a sleeping giant
when i look on bittrex this coin lost worth until the last pump
thats shit. it only recovered the half of its price from the beginning.
a few weeks and it will be worth even the half of the pump.
nearly every altcoin has that phase thats normal.
the chart doesnt look different like every altcoin that has been launched.

Look at the market cap and the USD price.  Both made all time highs.

I bought 110 decreds on january 15 2017 the price was  only 0.40 cents, I spent only 44.00 dlls and now the price is 2.75 and my earnings are 302 dlls 700% more  really amazing.

you were lucky because it was very undervalued and expected to rise, but rising again now will be difficult, there are pos mienrs that have no incentive to hold, because they mine for free their decred, and can dump at will without thinking

blah blah blah, pos miners have the same incentive to hold as everyone else.  Get a clue Hardy Boy!

why? they make their coins for free, what is your point toward the possibility that they have any reason to hold their coin? maybe only speculation right? this is not sufficient for them to hold, i think here there are a bunch of bagholder that were pissed of from the dump that happened when decred was at 600k satoshi and now only 250k, i can't see this coin reaching monero or other, not enough features

Just because they are free doesn't mean they will sell it at $0.5 when the potential is $5.0. I'm one of the very early PoS miner and have quite a substantial amount of return when the reward was great back then. Am i going to sell it? Nope, not a single one.

Bittrex top balance holds "only" 10k DCR and there's no more than 50k DCR in TOP 10 balances maybe the whale has moved to Poloniex ?

Or spread his coins around to make it less obvious.  Wish I had a screenshot.  Either he is a fucking idiot, or we are going full retard.  You pick.

Why would he be an idiot?

Did you not understand?  "You pick"  The point is, some big money is in DCR.  The fundamentals look awesome.  The chart looks awesome.

No I don't understand your reasoning for the first of those two options - "Either he is a fucking idiot, or we are going full retard."

And it wasn't 100k USD, more like 70k.

Pretty sure that was a sarcasm. Like you said, there's no reason for him being an idiot. So it was us who are being retarded.

I bought some tickets and used a stakepool, but all of them are being submitted as missed. Is this a problem with 1.6 wallet? I even left the wallet on and unlocked.

More importantly, the price of the DCR is rock solid, despite the volatility experienced by BTC for the past few weeks. I'd prefer a slow but stable appreciation rather than a pump & dump coin.

I have been mining DCR for some time. But due to the fact that it's dead I'm changing to another coin now.
I have got like 0.5 DCR at the moment.. you don't really think that I try to influence the price to sell 0.5 DCR? Cheesy

The price is really low, but it's just a good moment to get in for the long term run...
There is real potential in Decred.

Lol.. how could someone be so stupid at all?...

Never mind.. these are the ppl who buy the coins from ppl who understand how markets work and sell their coins now Cheesy

Would you buy Bitcoins if the price dropped to 5 $ / BTC? ... NO! Because even the most stupid ppl would get the fact that bitcoin failed... and it's the same with DCR now.
It just totally failed.
There is simply no need to buy Decred now - get it.

NO - it will not rise in the future.. it's dead. Or do you expect a dead body to move ever again?...

And once again... no I do not own any DCR at the moment.. so don't come up with your stupid argument that my plan is to drop the price!

lol, why are you even here? preventing people from losing money? why do you even care about what other people do with their money? lol

unless....

Hey guys,

I'm trying to set up a FIRST MINI purely selling DCR (not buying at the moment) business directly via credit card payment. This is experimental and i only accept small transaction at anyone time. Here's little more information regarding how the payment works.

1. I am a reputable seller from a Singapore marketplace called Shopee.sg (It's a lot like Carousell + Amazon on a steroid). You can make the purchase directly from the website or download the companion apps called "Shopee" on your Google PLaystore/Apple Appstore.

The sample of the purchase will be like this, you can try to navigate around to familiarize yourself with the payment procedure as it's very straight forward:
http://mall.shopee.sg/item/?sid=223570&iid=1945925

PROTIP-
* Enter your country code+mobile number during the registration of your address (i.e: +60 1275582229). This is required to receive a one time SMS verification code before you can purchase.
* Do not save your credit card info after purchase for a better peace of mind. You can manually remove it from the database after purchase.

2. You PM me of the amount you wish to buy. This is an experimental feature so i'm not accepting more than 10DCR transaction at any one time.
3. I will list down a "product" that reflect the value of the DCR and you shall "purchase" the product and make the payment via your credit card .
4. You need to then "CONFIRM" the delivery of the product via apps. This is done so that the funds will be released to me by the marketplace and no chargeback is possible (Unlike paypal).
5. Your DCR will then be sent to you instantly. (This require some trust on your end, but you can try with amount as small as 1 DCR if you are skeptical). This is all done manually.
6. There is no credit card fee involved on the buyer's end but the price of the DCR sold will be at a slight premium and decided at the point of agreement (which is to be expected as this involve some overhead fee and no one else is taking the risk of offering the same service as i do). Also, the currency involved is naturally in Singapore Dollar (SGD) so there will be some Forex fee involved when it shows up on your credit card bill.

I hope with this service, it will mark the end of fear of the scammers and a new age of trust, despite paying  a little bit more premium, i'm opening up the opportunity for guys who are looking to buy DCR directly using credit card and hopefully increase the adoption by the masses.

PM me away, and REMEMBER to leave a positive review once the transaction is successful to vouch for me =)

aahhh finally...

pxe booted the first 6 blades took some time to figure it out... now, if i could just get the last 2 power cables i would be able to fire up the last 8 blades...

This thing is for sha-256, right?  You're gonna mine bitcoin or something with it, right?

nope, its a blade server, imagine 14 computers with each 2x 3GHz xeon e5450 processors in 1 big box, 112 processing cores in total, each doing 47KH/s mining darkcoins

WOW!

and i need 2 power cables to get the last 8 up and running right now only 48 cores are mining

here is a picture:

http://s3.postimg.org/qtowesp8i/20140307_095603.jpg

Whats the cost of this one and i suppose GPU's are way cheaper than this.
Need some enlightment  Wink

its 720 Watts per MH/s ive asked the thread for other peoples watt usage to get an idea of how well it is.

buying this thing... 1000 pounds + 300 pounds for shipment (all paid by earned darkcoins)

Watt did you just say?

what i'm implying is; that is not very efficient.  based on the sudo studies I have conducted -

if you would like pm me, that would be ok.

could some ppl please post their watt usage per MH/s

Why would you go the path of pure CPU mining with that amount of money?

I'll tell your what's mine, i5 2500K 4.5Ghz system (4 cores running at 100-110kh/s each) about 200W + 7970 (2Mh/s) about 250W .
Total of 2.4MH/s @ 450W. That's only ~187W per MH/s vs your 720W per MH/s.

At 1.3k pounds, you could probably buy 3 of such system (without monitor) total about 7.2MH/S.  Beat your blades anytime!

Please correct me if i understand this wrongly. I sold my miner about 2 weeks ago, and upon selling this was my outstanding eligius balance:

As of last block:   0.00040948 BTC   97.22%
Estimated Change:   +0.00000000 BTC   0.00%
Estimated Total:   0.00040948 BTC   97.22%

If i'm not mistaken, shouldn't the share reward be paid to 100% over time even after i stop mining?
I remembered myself stopping once in the past, and the reward eventually crept up to 100% when more blocks are found.
Mine has been staying at 97.22% for a long time. May i know what's the reason behind it?
The remaining ~2.8% of share reward worth about 0.3BTC from the Max Reward chart but i'm not sure if i'm interpreting it correctly. (Difference between everpaid and max reward)

Thanks!

getting the rest of your shares paid off will depend on luck...and who knows how long that'll take

I see, thanks! Do you have any rough estimation of how much luck does the pool require for it to fulfill backlog rewards?
