By finding a steady job, it will become easier to have a steady source of income. I have been working professionally for over 10 years and have made a career from what I do best. I am far from being rich but I can get by and provide for my family. I am also doing investments on the side while I also try to earn a few bitcoins when time permits me.

I agree with your post. But Bitcoin was never meant for the average Joe. It was created as a digital currency, mainly targeting the tech savvy population. Without an internet connection and a smartphone, it is impossible to transact Bitcoins. And that itself means that Bitcoin is not attractive for the vast majority of the world population.
Exactly and we cannot expect everyone to start using bitcoins especially people from poor countries who don't have any idea of latest technology and that makes bitcoin less popular.

Most of us are aware about the risks associated with Bitcoin. Yes, there is a strong chance that Bitcoin may become completely worthless in the future. But still, who cares? Many of us are ideologically motivated to use Bitcoins. For us, it is a weapon against the corrupt bankers and the wall street criminals, who exploit the common people using the fiat system.
That's right and with bitcoin we can have full control on our money and we don't have to pay taxes to corrupted Government who even after collecting taxes don't give any benefits to its citizens and are busy in filling their own pockets.

Thats true, lake of marketing and advertising is a big reason why bitcoin is not yet as much popular as it should have been, because the ones who are not involved with the things like online earnings or etc would never come to know about it unless they see an advertisement of it or someone tells them personally.

I don't have much Bitcoin too, so it doesn't mean a lot to me. I am also a bit unsure whether it is safe to believe in it and leave some big money in BTC... I just care about it being a way to earn money and thus help me live my life. However, I also thing that the idea of BTC is interesting and nice. People can spend and earn money anonymously and don't have to pay taxes.
Agreed and I think even if bitcoin gets disappear in future it won't make much difference to those who are not totally dependent on it for living and if that happens then they will move on and find other ways to earn money.
Is there a way to determine the number of people who are actually using Bitcoin till date? Who would have access to such information? Meaning a way to find out, how many new people have used Bitcoin in 2016 , so that we can say exponential growth is natural not artificially created by hoarders.
in my opinion it is not easy to predict whether any particular number of people using bitcoin .because every user has multiple adress , multiple wallet and also many bitcoin services account , so we can't predict of find out how many persons are involve in the bitcoin .
And even in future we won't be able to find how many people are using it as we cannot go to each and everyone and ask whether they are using bitcoins or not and I think its a waste of time.
Bad days teaches you everything and especially when you are jobless and don't have any source of income you will start taking risks so that you can have at least some money that can give you two times food and that was the time I came across through bitcoins.

yes i am also agree with you, i like to invest my money in bitcoin although investment in bitcoins is risky but you do not have any other option if you really want to make money. Every investment is risky so why should not take a chance with bitcoins? As if everything goes fine in future that it can give us huge profits which would be never possible with gold for sure.

That's right we cannot afford to invest all our money in bitcoins as we also need fiat for our basic needs and the fact is we are not sure whether bitcoins will bring profits for us or not in near future.

well, take a look at the 10 year gold charts. gold has gone up 112.5% in a matter of 10 years. it doesn't mean it will happen again of course, but investing in gold for 10 years and getting a return of just over 110% is not really promising. if bitcoin lives up to all its realistic expectations, then you'll be rewarded with a huge return. it will be beyond what gold will offer you.

I would suggest that you continue on trading. Selling everything is not a smart move to make but never selling them also doesn't make any sense, if the current price is allowing me to make good profits then I will surely sell some part of it.
I guess it's going to become popular in two years or so, unless another 2008-like (or even worse) crisis will take place. We've seen a lot of spikes in the price of Bitcoin and I have only a few friends who know what Bitcoin is, and now they don't know if they should invest in it or not. If everything goes well, by the next winter we'll make another price history again.
