I'm reaching out to the community to see whether there would be any interest in a simple, reliable, secure and cheap co-location service for crytocurrency mining hardware.

We all know that home mining is difficult; the growing demand for electricity that ASIC / GPU miners require, the fan noise, and the heat, especially considering the soaring summer temperatures at the moment.  What I'm proposing is a simple service that allows home miners (or anyone else for that matter) to move their hardware to a data centre that specialises in handling crytocurrency mining hardware.  Not only does it take away the stress of keeping your equipment cool and gives you some relief from the fan noises, the best part is that is offers cheaper electricity than what you're be paying at home.

How cheap?  Well that's what is just being finalised, but to give you a rough guide, compared to where I'm based in the UK, the electricity and maintence costs are looking promising enough to be at least 50% cheaper.  For me, it's is a game changer in terms of getting quicker returns, making more profit (that's what it's mostly about right?) and enabling me to quickly increase my own capacity which I was limited on before.  It all comes down to how much interest there is - the more miners on board, the cheaper the rates get, hence this preliminary shout-out to see who might be interested.

Who am I and how will you know that I won't steal your miners?  I've been a long-time lurker on the forums and a home miner for many years.  I'm a tech enthusiast who has been in IT my whole life and I love everything about the aspect of mining.  It's only this year that I've finally had to bite the bullet and look to have my own hardware hosted somewhere more sensible than my own garage or convervatory.  The problem was, I found that there was no one offering a clear service at a reasonable cost this side of the pond (UK / Europe).  No one was interested in the small fish, only the big ones.

I've been on the receiving end of a scam myself on this very forum, so I know how important it is to have security and reassurance that your investment isn't going to be ripped away from you unfairly.  This is why I'm bringing this service to the table with the backing of a very reputatable UK web hosting company who have many years of experience, thousands of customers, and an excellent customer service rating.  They already have established contacts with a data centre in Iceland, so there's a reliable infrastructure in place, and experience shipping hardware around.  Just to clarify, you'd be dealing directly with them.  I'd be happy to give much more information for credibility once this has advanced to the next step.  My involvement here for now is to literally just to explain the offer on the table and count numbers.

I've got an KNC Miner Mercury unit from last October which I'm now looking to sell.  I brought it from scotjam and it's served me well being maintenance free.  It has:

- Controller fully working (4 port)
- 1 Upgraded module fully working (140 Gh/s).
- 1 Original module which has cores switch on and off but it's stable albeit at a lower hash rate (100 Gh/s).  I've had it running nearing 130 Mh/s by playing with the core voltages.
- 1 Upgraded module which seems to have all cores switched off.  I've not had the time to try and look it so that's a wildcard.

It's a bitmine.ch Avalon clone ~ running a quick search, looks like they are configured by default to work via Ethernet but it can be changed to Wifi in the web GUI.

Once the ball is rolling with the Police, they can send a RIPA to Bitstamp which then allows them to 'legally' disclose the information under the data protection act about the account of interest.  That should be pretty straight forward once it's been signed off by the unit's detective.  It shouldn't go as far as a court order unless Bitstamp refuse to cooperate and the Police deem it suitable enough to seize their server hard drives.
