Active Mining is now up for orders on btct.co. I see buy orders ranging from 0.0001 to 0.00315 per share.
Will there be a initial fixed sell price for the shares? Or will they just fill orders arbitrarily?

They will be released at a set price. However I am unsure as to the number of shares that are yet to be listed over the two exchanges.

Edit - Judging by the faster commenters above I am wrong, but I did think there was a chance of a second 'wave' of shares.

This round's dividends for Selling will be significantly lower than usual because of massive investment losses on just-dice and low volume in general, that is why I sold out of Selling at least.

How much are we in for at Just Dice?  I know we started with 100 and that Deprived added more at some point, but I can't seem to find a post showing how much we added?

From memory another 60BTC was added. But as the poster above me has stated the amount lost on just-dice is fairly insignificant in the grand scheme of things and we may have recovered from that loss by the time dividends come around. Although you always need to remember there is a chance that we could lose more money on just-dice.

Sales of hardware are clearly mentioned in the contract, and thus will be paid out in dividends. It does not matter what you or anyone else thinks about how the money should be spent when the contract specifies what will be done.

My question was not a matter of if dividends will be paid, but when - This week or next week.

There has been no sale of hardware only a pre-order. You cant "spend" a clients money without delivering some goods, unless it is in the creation of said goods.

What are you talking about? Have you just made this point up on the spot?

I guess the second sentence was made up on the spot and has no foundation outside of my ethical view on how business should be conducted. However I believe my first point is still quite valid.

Yeah this is not profit, so has nothing to do with dividends. All this really means is that once the gear starts rolling out the door then we have guaranteed initial income - providing a refund is not requested. No contract is being broken.

Just wondering if there are many people from New Zealand that use this board. Specifically if anyone has used bitnz.com - it looks pretty legit but nervous about sending larger amounts of coins through it.

Also wondering how keen fellow kiwis would be about a group buy of USB miners? I personally do not have the credibility/reputation to start one of these pools but am interested if others have.

If the difficulty adjusted right now to 25235779 then selling would receive a dividend of 0.006924 BTC/share. However, the difficulty is expected to continue increasing, so the actual dividend will probably be above .007.

Wowzers, selling seems very conservatively priced currently...

Awesome thanks. So big jump in difficulty coupled with the just-dice and coin-lenders income running for a full dividend period should see a pretty high selling div right? I know the maths has been mentioned several time before so im not asking for anyone to go over it again. Im just a bit puzzled why I often see an "if a selling div is paid" type comment when as far as I can work out there will be a div paid out on this for quite awhile?

Feel a bit burnt with this service.

I was under the impression that the owner of the site took a cut of the mining income and having a 0.01BTC payout limit seemed fairly standard. However once I had reached 0.01BTC the fee for a withdraw is also 0.01BTC and you can only withdraw in multiples of 0.01BTC. I checked the site before hand and didnt see any mention of this withdraw fee, but as I only had a limited window of time to use a computer grid I now have 0.013BTC and cant see a way of getting to 0.02 without a massive time commitment Sad.

Anyway rant off I guess im just posting this as a warning that this site is probably great if you have access to a grid of computers that you do not pay the power for(remember to stay legal) and you have a decent amount time to spend on them. But to everyone else dont waste your power/time.
