Re: Why are Exchanges promoting Trading competitions?
by
gtcms
on 18/12/2018, 11:41:38 UTC
I think it is obviously that trading competitions are just a part of marketing strategy of some exchanges. Now it is very difficult to attract new users, so exchanges and trading platforms are trying to make different promotions, and trading competions are one of them.

Re: What do you think about the BitSeven platform?
by

on 18/12/2018, 11:28:36 UTC
I tried 4 different platforms, but chose the BitSeven platform, there were a lot of advantages. And what do you think about this platform?

The main advantage of bitseven is that there are no "overload" issues as at BitMEX.
I trade on both exchanges, and I like bitseven more than bitmex at this moment.
There were some doubts because it is relatively new platform, but withdrawals were done fast and now I'm sure that it is reliable company.

In paper trading there are no risks, but unfortunately in real trading there will be a lot of psychological and technical aspects, so we can't compare it. but for beginning paper trading is very good, but don't be too self-confident.

Which is more crucial HODL or Short Trading ?

It depends only on what you prefer.
But the best option is hodl... and hedge your crypto assets by shorting derivatives while market is in downtrend. In this way you will earn more money in long term Smiley

Re: To Trade on Bitmex or Not to Trade on Bitmex That is the Question
by
gtcms
on 03/12/2018, 10:04:28 UTC
nothing directly perculiar to Bitmex exchange.

I agree with Gloverwrt.

I have accounts in some different exchanges, including platforms with high leverage (bitmex and bitseven).

And if you think about trading on bitmex or not, it is better to read this article:
https://medium.com/swlh/a-storm-is-brewing-over-the-largest-bitcoin-exchange-f956324b449f

Anyway Bitmex is one of the biggest exchanges now, and if they will solve overload problems they could be the best.

And trading with leverage 25x and higher is very similar to gambling, I think everybody understand it.

Re: Can I daily earn 10%
by
gtcms
on 30/11/2018, 14:28:56 UTC
Hello, I am newbie in trading. I start trading for make some profit
Would it be possible to make 10% of your capital every day?

This would be 300% in a month, this is a lot.

It really comes to your capital:

If I invest 200$ and 10% of 200 would be come 20$ daily and one month come 600$
...

If I trying hard daily profit 10% huge profit come in one month

Of course it is possible to make 10% every day...

But in this case, you will risk 100% of your capital every day Smiley

Nobody can make stable profit every day. And you don't need to do it. But with good risk management and research you can make stable profit in long term.

Some exchanges (bitmex, bitseven) provide trading with leverage up to 100x, so there is opportunity to make more than 100% every day, even 1000% every day... but I think that is clear, that probability of it is very very minor.

Re: I'm loosing. What to do?
by

What to do now when things get worse every day, only hold will help us? Who is trying to survive in such a market? Your advice, friends!

One of the main rules of trading, especially in crypto, is to trade with ammount that you can afford to lose. If your account is bigger than you can lose without pain, you anyway will have problems.
If you have cryptoassets without leverage, I think you can hold them, there is high probability that in long term they will rise again.
Now there is good opportunity to spend your time by reading and learning new things (blockchain, trading or anything else).
And try not to refresh quotes every 5 minutes  Smiley

Re: Trading Bitcoin at this moment is right?
by
gtcms
on 26/11/2018, 10:36:07 UTC
Trading bitcoin now is better than before because of increased volatility. And it is better to trade on BitMEX and BitSeven trading platforms, because there you can use leverage and there is opportunity to short btc and earn on falling bitcoin. But now is better not to use leverage more than 5x (even 10x is very dangerous).

Re: Alternative to BITMEX - BitSeven
by

on 22/11/2018, 16:37:46 UTC
Are they in any way affiliated with http://BitSevens.com ? Because that site is 100% a scam. See https://dirtyscam.com/reviews/bitsevens-com-rick-smith/
(I don't understand why they would choose a name so close to the above.)

Anyway, i can't find anything about Bitseven.com themselves. They seem extremely unknown/not used. Even though it's derivative trading, (and thus there's not really any liquidity required to operate) i still wouldn't trust them with my money. They have no track record/history, which makes exit scamming a whole lot easier.

Apart from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4773096.0, they have no real ANN on their forum either where they can be held accountable for their service.

I am going to short btc, so are you sure that in bitseven there is no short position funding like in bitmex?  This is sound unreal..

on bitseven there is no funding, it's real  Smiley
So how does it work? It's a bogus market?

I think it is only coincidence that their names are so close. The link you give is not connected with BitSeven.com
I don't know how it works, but I trade on bitseven for about 3 months, and I haven't had any problem with them.
I have 2 accounts: on bitmex (about 1.2BTC) and bitseven (about 0.15 BTC). The main advantage of bitseven is that there is no overloads there. In a whole bitmex has more advantages, and bitmex still remains my main platform, but when there are overload problems on bitmex - I have the second platform when I can immideatly make trades.
Also as I know, US rezidents can't trade on bitmex platform now, but on bitseven they can trade.

Re: Best Exchange for trade
by

It depends on what you want to trade: if you want to trade a lot of different cryptocurrencies and don't need leverage, you can choose binance, hitbtc, okex or huobi. If you want to trade some top cryptocurrencies (btc, eth and something else) with leverage 5x/10x (up to 100x, but 50x/100x is like suicide, especially now) you can choose bitmex or bitseven.

P.S. I hold my bitcoins, but I have some short positions on trading platforms. And I belive in "to the moon", but hardly it will be this year.

Re: Margin Trading
by

What is the ROI on margin trading BTC or any other cryptocurrency for that matter?

Margin trading is very risky, and trading with leverage 100x or even 50x has ROI -100% with 99,99% probability  Lips sealed I have accounts on BitMEX and BitSeven, but I never use leverage higher than 25x, because even 10x is very dangerous  Smiley

Re: WHAT ARE THE BEST SITES OR APPS TO START TRADING?
by
gtcms
on 16/11/2018, 15:11:33 UTC
my colleagues want to start trading in cryptos and they want me to suggest a site that is the best to start trading, but i dont what to answer because there so many cryptotrading sites. So for you guys what site and app do you think is the best?

For trading with leverage there are 2 good platforms: BitMEX and BitSeven. For new traders BitSeven probably is better because of simple interface. On these sites there is opportunity to trade with leverage up to 100x, but it is too risky, even 10x is dangerous to trade now Smiley 5x is optimal

Diversification is of course good thing, but do you really think that buying some different coins you are diversifed? It's better to invest in some projects than in one, but if these projects are very simmilar, this is not diversification.

Re: How can we get people to use bitcoin as a currency?
by

I think all we need is time. When people will try to use bitcoin, they will understand advantages of cryptocurrencies, but of course it will be very hard to convince people (especially who is older than 50 years) to start using btc. But in 5-10 years situation will change greatly.

Re: Best exchange for Day/Short term trading
by

on 16/11/2018, 11:23:10 UTC
I like to day trading. Maximum time I like to trade on Idex. Idex is low quality but cool exchange site. There are maximum number of people doing trade on binance. Now my question is Which is Best exchange for Day/Short term trading?

It depends on how many assets you want to trade. If a lot I think Binance is very good option, and HitBTC is not bad. If you want to trade only top-assets (BTC, ETH and something else) you can go to BitMEX or BitSeven.

I think Bitcoin, XRP, Litecoin, EOS, Cardano, NEO. Also Zilliqa is good for long term.
