well well well ... don't worry guys, still bagholding ... just :-)

Sure am keen to get this new release;

my tor node for those that use tor is: anoncoinzxwp5d7k.onion

 Smiley

im sry, your setup dosnt work.
did you point port 9377 to your anoncoind? if not, you have to use the default port, which is 9377.
is anoncoind running? with -tor support?

Code:
nc -z -v -X 5 -x 127.0.0.1:9050 anoncoinzxwp5d7k.onion 9377
nc: connection failed, SOCKS error 4

PS: what happend with your last node?

quite a few things changed, new modem, moved house, centos 7 ... i'd better give it a good shakedown!

Just to be sure, you must put lines in your anoncoin.conf thus:

addnode=37.187.144.36
addnode=67.209.191.40
... and so on for all the IPs that are on the list

Apologies if you'd already done it this way but never know  Smiley

I have to say, I am really concerned about people not being able to even transfer coins from one wallet to the other. When is this going to get fixed? Who cares about Zerocoin if you can't even make a transaction.

Tell me why I shouldn't be worried?

Yep my coins are stuck, at this stage the foundation of the coin is broken - I care not about ZeroCoin at this point.,..

I'm no expert on this but others here are and they need more information
ie: getinfo for example of your client

so, there's 3 non=propagated Xactions here ?

robinson5 1836307ef77ea6bb849491373b171d37d7e23f79ebe0b61a44285583572729c8
clyze 838e3b333ac6a64e5eed95c320bdee2ff2121dac170a634fbe498f739d2257c9

stealth923 - can you give your xaction id ?
Have you looked at darkcoin's procedure ? you should know where that is

afaik, if your transactions are making it to the block chain they'd at least be visible here: http://ancblockchain.com/chain/Anoncoin

If they were supersize xactions, they'd still be visible, even if they sat there for hours/days with zero confirmations being ignored by miners.

you could fire up the client again and check, or follow a get raw and send raw procedure ...

Check out this excellent resource so kindly provided by our friends at Dark coin:

... save space ..

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I suggest that you try re-opening the senders anoncoin-qt and seeing that it joins up to the network properly.
ie: move the mouse over the bottom right icons and tool tips will show the number of connections, or, type getpeerinfo in the debug window and you should get a list of all the peers you are connected to

I understand that it - anoncoin-qt - should re-broadcast the transaction if it is not yet done ...

This could explain why your transaction never got sent, with all the intermittent block solving maybe when you sent the transaction was at a time when your client could not find any newer nodes to talk to ... from my experience i've seen the connect count vary greatly with these difficulty fluctuations.

[EDIT]
for instance, i'm connected to 67 nodes atm ( upped MAX_OUTBOUND_CONNECTIONS ), i2p, tor, clearnet
also, stick this in your anoncoin.conf:
addnode=anoncoinmpkoerba.onion

[EDIT2]
but if ur just clearnet, be sure that you have:
noirc=0
discover=1
and also, run the latest client and check your debug.log for version mismatches

This was a good review of the problem - thanks for compiling this.  Looks like if the transaction size is too big it will fail to confirm regardless of the the fee included. Can we get a dev response?  Are you guys trying to identify this bug?  The doesn't seem like it should be a very difficult thing to fix, probably just a couple lines of code.
I posted that they shouldnt change fee settings and/or also shouldnt patch the client o allow such huge txs (txs are limited to 100KB normaly).
Nothing from our side to be done  as there is nothing to fix. If someone dosnt want to play according to the rules, they shouldnt wonder why things break. Thats the beauty of a decentralized system.

I guess what I don't understand is: Cryptsy claims they are compiling directly from source, so why is the wallet creating transactions above 100KB by default?

I imagine that their house wallet contains squillions of sub 1 ANC coins; to make  my withdrawal they needed 400 inputs - all nickel and dime amounts and the size.

EDIT: not exactly sub 1 ANC but relatively small when compared to what is a reasonably sized parcel of ANC to trade

This was it here: http://ancblockchain.com/tx/f615e8772e65dcf1da14154a9926df7e07f30b534745ce980760ff0b3a17aee6

./anoncoin/src/anoncoind getrawtransaction f615e8772e65dcf1da14154a9926df7e07f30b534745ce980760ff0b3a17aee6 | wc

Yay we cracked the 4k difficulty block, now we are only stuck on a meager 2k block!  Grin
http://ancblockchain.com/chain/Anoncoin

Ah, I see. Cool.

Brilliant Analysis ,,,,

Drakcoin,

Thanks for gathering facts to clarify the situation with facts !

Let's hope we can correct this situation ASAP because zANC will surely get an intense hammering from all angles by critics/competitors/sour-grapes when it goes live.

We'll need to batten down the hatches against attacks; difficulty, xaction storms, spam, ddos, whatever your imagination can come up with, they'll be out there trying to drag us down.

Looks like the difficulty is settling around 700 ... for anybody's info, i went and hired 32MH from miningrigrentals.com and i would like to think that helped, and i suggest that if more of us do that we might keep the multipool vultures at bay, at least while we are having these growing pains ...  Smiley
 EDIT: wishful thinking ...

I'm sorry if this is a really noob question, I haven't been able to find the answer anywhere else and I am brand new to ANC...
......

I can provide a layman's explanation; ANC is being mined by high capacity multipools in a hit and run fashion; they mine a few blocks with a lot of capacity then once the difficulty has adapted they move on to another coin, leaving a relative few miners to solve a high difficulty block.

Patience is required until this block is solved and the difficulty adapts again. ie: http://ancblockchain.com/chain/Anoncoin

Hi Tor Anoncoin buffs,

I have rebuilt and renamed my server thus so please feel free to stick it in your anoncoin.conf, ie:
addnode=45y2lyszn5qnpt3l.onion
have changed this to:
addnode=anoncoinmpkoerba.onion

It seems to me there's no .onion name resolution or peer exchange, and so we need to exchange tor addresses, but if there is another way can someone please explain it to me ?

thanks

wrt Cryptsy Xactions, @K1773R knows how to fix them ....

One I had stuck had 400 inputs, I think K1773R rebroadcast it ... not sure, maybe that's something a cron script anywhere can do ... just my bit's worth

Hey, thanks K1773R, I took your advice and got an ubuntu VM which works fine, seems there is selinux issues with my mainstay centos box ... like: setsebool -P tor_bind_all_unreserved_ports 1

but have seen it work on the other box ... still investigating but looks a bit better

i'll be back soon with a custom anoncoinxxxxxx.onion shallot address soon

Matched 23.88919338 ANC (donation is removing decimals, thx Cheesy)

Left: 699 ANC

Offer expires at: September 30, 2014, 11:59:59 PM (Forum time)

Can the community come up with the remaining 699 ANC within ~25 hours?

Let's see  Grin

Can you double check that this transaction gets included in a block? It says it was confirmed but I don't see it anywhere in a block explorer,
855c148b7fcdcec1832c973948f105692303e26b7b85e0c77f846f6d21fd1d4d

also i donated 25anc earlier! match that sweet stuff! Cheesy

Is this another stuck transaction from Cryptsy?

Hopefully after Zerocoin there will be more exchange options!

How are we supposed to trade when transactions to/from the biggest exchange ANC is listed often get stuck?

That transaction looks 100% - http://ancblockchain.com/tx/855c148b7fcdcec1832c973948f105692303e26b7b85e0c77f846f6d21fd1d4d - 345 confirmations,

fyi the one's that need rebroadcasting are with ~400 inputs - pushing the envelope but not this one 5 or so ... if it's any consolation, Gox would put stuff out the same that would sit there for days like that  Smiley

I'd be checking my wallet addresses etc,

well yes - it's been running a long time, and will keep the key files and carry it across upgrades etc, but  not even sure if it's working atm ...

and I used to connect to others as well a few months back, but now, prolly since the last time i built it, i connect to nobody, other than regular ipv4 nodes via exit nodes i spose

Also, from what I can see, the network cannot find any tor nodes, not that it bothers me, If i cannot get the address of at least one then the tor listener is not going to get used

i got list of tor addresses from here but none work anymore

i get in my debug.log a lot:

partner ... using obsolete version 70005; disconnecting

When i do get a connection it says:
receive version message: /Anonymous:0.8.5.6/: version 70007,

So, is it just me or are there a lot of out of date noes out there ? trying to join in but getting rejected by the likes of me ?

Also, lets swap some tor addresses; mine is 45y2lyszn5qnpt3l.onion

Does anybody else have one that's an up to date client ? if so  please post

 rsa_ufo_attack has flipped, decided to load up with ANC but alas, no one's selling  Cheesy

fact is, to get a few thousand, you're slipping up to 0.0017 or such
