When are we going back up to $40 ?

Gettin it hard to stay up around 40 cents right now bro  Embarrassed

I think one of btx team's biggest mistakes was not paying Binance for a listing, the lack of exchanges has brought btx to the current price point imo.

Are positive forecasts based on currency behavior in 2017? But what about the sharp and recent collapse? What can raise the crypto currency from the knees? What will keep you afloat?
Increased interest from speculators who are eager for quick returns. The increase in demand, the receipt of large investors.
Many investors are trying to use resources that have remained free. Given the high appeal of digital currencies, most of the available funds will be used to purchase these assets.
I think this is an ordinary pyramid. The more people invest, the more top participants will get. As a result, all the profits will remain with the developer, and the rest of the people will go bankrupt.

This is definitely not true for btc.

They are different things, segwit makes for faster on-chain transactions while lightning network does off chain transfers like within a smartcontract.

I read the whitepaper and just know I want to be a part of this.
I didn't join NEM back in the day, despite people telling me so (yes stupid in hindsight).

Coming across this project feels very refreshing in so many ways, this is how airdrops should work.

Are you already considering bounties for the project, or is that moving too fast  Tongue

Does your website have a website? I often do not trust projects where it does not have a website because I think that is the basis for evaluating a good project. I am waiting for more information from this project to decide to invest in it.

How often do you see airdrops like this?
Obviously this is different from those airdrops you find in the token section they mostly seem to be worthless scams.

Re: Why are bounty hunters guilty?
by
hakans
on 17/02/2018, 20:34:33 UTC
Who said bounty hunters are guilty? Bounty hunters are not lowering any rate at all, if anything, they are generating additional exposure for the ICO so that ICOs are likelier to succeed. Besides, if giving out bounties were not profitable, ICOs wouldn't be offering them in the first place.

I think what OP was alluding to was the fact that bounty hunters feel like they are under constant prosecution here at the forums. Whether that be from big ranking members who hate the thought of bounty or whether that be from ICOs calling for KYC on some projects. It just seems that this aspect of the forum isn't wanted, which is weird because they offer it. Kind of a catch 22 you can't win whatever side you are on.

The issue with bounty hunting is surrounding spam. Theymos (who runs the forum) has said himself that he likes that people can earn a little using the forum but he wants to maintain quality posting and discussion. This is why Meta changes were introduced.

Things do seem less spammy since we have the merit system, but looks like low ranked members can barely rank up no more.

Re: Best GPU's For Mining?
by
hakans
on 17/02/2018, 20:28:35 UTC
I have around $2400 USD I can spend on Amazon, any recommendations on the best allocation for it? Would I be better off buying multiple cheaper GPUs? Or spending more on a single more expensive one?

It's recommended to buy single more expensive because it will save more resources like POWER SUPPLY, RAM MEMORY and CPU.
Example x12 GTX 1060 you would need 2 rigs - 6 cards each rig but you would need to buy 2 power supply, 2 RAM memory, 2 CPU and 2 montherboards
VS
6 GTX 1080TI you will make 1 rig - 2 power supply, 1 RAM memory, 1 CPU and less cables in your home. You also need to consider the temperature 12 cards vs 6 cards + space in your room.

Agree with your logic in terms of resources. However 6 card rigs are a waste. With the windows limitations now gone it’s very easy to run 9-12 cards per rig.

Minimum of 9 cards imho.

Re: Is 1ETH=$10,000 worth the possibility?
by
hakans
on 16/02/2018, 20:10:04 UTC
yes, it can hit that value but I don't know when. Maybe end of this year / after a year / after 2 years ? We don't know, but like bitcoin, it rises like a rocket last year. ETH can possible do it too. So we need to wait until it reach that 10000$ value.

I don't think this is possible anytume sooner but it can happened within a span of next five years and when it happens with ethreum then it will be along with stability which will boost it's value further.

Don't forget we are going to see a lot of new projects as well. Who knows if eth will stay on top.
