The newer version 0.14.2 will be made available as soon as the majority users move to version 0.10.3
In the 0.14.2 version, the magic bits will be changed in order to fix the oldest bug in the code allowing at least four other coins to hijack the blockchain when their hash power increase. The proper merkle root and genesis hashes will be added to the main net, test net and reg net.

Hi,
New development!
After importing the address generated on the 0.16.3 client into the 15.99.8 client, I now have another column in the Balances section "Watch-only"
Are there anyone that can tell me the story behind this?
Thank you,
H

Hi DataSea,
I appreciate the assistance, however the transaction did not came through on my side.
On this address I am a payment from the address to the address and it would not go into the local mem pool nor did it enter any on the nodes connected to the client.
This address are now imported into the 0.15.9.08 version and it show the payment to it self with all the confirmation sine the 6th of July 2020 - the 0.16.3 client do not see the transactions on the block chain.
I'll have a look at the previous posts to see if any one mention a possible problem or maybe Graham will be able to tell us.
Anyway, just right click on the transaction, select abandon and the coin will appear in your wallet again.

Hi,
Compiled Datacoin v0.16.3 on Ubuntu 20.04 successfully and will now attempt a cross compilation for windows.
Notes;
Berkeley DB4 will produce an error. Compile with --with-incompatible-bdb to make use of Berkeley 5.3.28 (September 9, 2013). Madpool fix still required for compiling. Instal QT5 to produce a GUI. Tnx to gjhiggins for removing the warning notification when accessing the in wallet Blockchain.
Will keep you posted on the progress.
Thx,
H

Good Morning,
Have anyone compiled Datacoin v0.16.3 on Ubuntu 20.04 successfully?
It seems like I have all the dependencies installed to compile the four executable files for Datacoin v0.16.3. I received no warnings or errors after make and is now waiting for make clean to complete before I will be able to test.
Will let you know if all went well later today.
Tnx,
H

Checkout the Datacoin (DTC) Source-Code Analysis at
I am looking for a service or tutorial that instructs on how to use the timestamping feature of the blockchain to record the existence and immutability of important documents.
We want to timestamp a document into the blockchain for a "proof of existence". It is also useful that the block will demonstrate the time it was created.
Does anyone on this board have a recommendation about which service to use or how to do this? It is preferable not to use a 3rd party.
I have downloaded the blockchain but am not particularly inclined to start running a full-node.
Thank you for any and all help.
Hi,
You could have a look at https://www.bytestamp.net/ - it is a free tool to timestamp & produce proof of existence of anything.
