**Everything in red needs to be inputed**
**Blue is profit relative to how many BTC you have at USD rate so if blue is higher than cell D2 then profit**

I buy BTC then I convert it to LTC (cell B24 tells how many LTC to buy) then depending on the profit table to the left I convert my LTC to the currency listed (B26-41 tell me how many of that currency to buy) then I immediately go and sell the new currency back into BTC (cells D26-41 tell how many BTC i will be left with after the transaction, if it is less than BTC you originally started with then it is a loss).

I want the currency column automated pretty much

I hope someone can point me the right direction

Thank you

Need help in the right direction

I have asked this question on stack overflow but no one replied so this is my last hope...

"I have created a profitability calculator for alternative currency trading in excel, which does the simple math (adds fees, sub fees etc) for me as a hobby on the website www.cryptsy.com. The problem I am having is I want to learn how would be the best way in this communities opinion to automate ONLY the buy and sell price from the website into my excel sheet? I have been told API would be the best way but I am not sure. Also please keep in mind programming experience is very little but willing to learn everything.

Thank you for your help"

Does this sound good? pretty much I have a calculator in excel i have built and i want to bring only specific data from cryptsy.com into the excel sheet so it is automated at all times and feeding data.

You don't really need 4 PCIe x16 slots on your mainboard to connect 4 GPUs for mining.

PCIe is designed in such a way as to allow cards with big connectors like graphics cards which typically feature x16 connectors with less lanes like x8 or x4 or even only x1.

If you were wanting to play games or other actually graphic intensive stuff on your computer you would need the bandwith that comes with a proper PCIe x16 connection. For mining a PCIe x1 connection is sufficent since only a limited amount of data is tranferred back and forth on the PCIe bus.

So if your mainboard has 4 different PCIe slots you can in theory connect 4 different PCIe x16 cards to them and have them work fine for mining.

The only problem is making them fit. Physically cutting down on the connectors to make them fir is theoretically possible but practically a really bad idea.

There are PCIe risers that can help you with the problem of physically getting your cards to fit on the board. There are even PCIe risers that function as splitters and turn a single x16 slot into 4 x4 slots for example.

As far as the PCIe Bus is concerned the whole thing would not be a problem. However you still need a to power and cool the whole thing and that is more likely to end up being trouble.

Overall though do you think the guide I am following is good? is there anything better I can do with that money?

Hi Everyone,

I want to get into alternative crypto mining by using the Scrypt method of mining. I will be following this guide: (http://www.cryptobadger.com/build-your-own-litecoin-mining-rig/). Recently my budget got raised from $1400 to $2400. The $2000 I want to go to Radeon 7750 GPU cards. The rest is for motherboards, processor, cpu, etc.

My question, If radeon 7750 cost nearly $500 a piece then to attach 4 would i need to build 2 separate rigs or can 4 cards fit on one motherboard? Is there any better options for mining rig configuration that I can use this funding for?

Thank you,
Hank

I've turned about .01-.02 btc gathered from alt giveaways into 1 bitcoin (estimated portfolio value from cryptsy) and thats with all of my holdings suffering from the alt coin drop currently happening. Can we call it a crash yet?
In your opinion why are the prices falling or markets crashing?

Just low volume most likely. Try buying/selling into the market a bit more and your orders will execute faster. Or find an exchange that has higher volume on the pairs you are trading.
Thank you for your help i see whats going on kinda

Ah yes, I was looking at your thread on that. It looks good, especially as it is working for you. Will be nice if you do end up getting it hooked up to a decent API.

I haven't bothered with Cryptsy given how slow people say it is, which is a shame as it is the ideal place to leverage on the hot coins.

Do you know how to work with API's?

I have been having good success as well, What i do is buy USD->BTC->LTC->Alt coins (i have a profitability calculator i made)->BTC->USD.

The only problem is trades are not happening instantly on cryptsy and I have no where else to turn so my profits have taken a hit (as we speak i have multiple XPM coins waiting to be traded back into BTC for the last 2hours)

I wish I had funding to knock cryptsy over and do my own site. Also I believe stagnation of coins comes the markets being open 24/7.

I have been trying to trade on cryptsy, but the sell orders are taking to long to go through (as I am writing this I have been trying to sell 12.397 XPM back into BTC and it has been over an hour) is something on my end I am doing wrong? Is it better to sell in whole numbers? What can I do to make the trades happen faster?

Does Gox require verification just for trading btc ONLY

I believe you only need to verify your account if you want to withdraw money in fiat currency.

Except you can't withdraw fiat Wink
Mtgox is running a some type of scheme by holding the money so long. I feel it in my bones.

Wow thank you all for the answer I think I will just sell it and get some GPU's and begin mining. What do you guys think about this guide (http://www.cryptobadger.com/build-your-own-litecoin-mining-rig/) I want to follow to mine other currencies by joining a pool that switches to the most profitable coin of the day? Is this worth my time and effort?

Thank you all for your very quick responses.

Sure, hit me up.  Will be happy to help.

D

How soon can we start this? and in your opinion would the server better be used hosting a service for a coin or something along those lines?

I've had some descent luck mining PTS=Protoshare (CPU mining) with some servers I had that was idling.  Best to use YAM's optimized miner though.  I used Ypools miner but it is a dog compared to the YAM miner.  Took me day to figure out where to get it, which one to use and get it set up on all the servers. LOL

Do you mind if I can PM you or somehow get in contact with you so you can guide me. I am a finance analyst, not a computer engineer, and I would definitly reward you for your time.

Thank You

You could make some nodes, or start a pool. Or maybe a faucet site.

Is there anyway you could point me the right direction to get the pool started?

Thank you alot, I am also doing some research now.

Hello Everyone,

I am working on a crypto(alternative currency) coin miner, on the indiegogo platform. I would really appreciate if my dream could be a reality
