It's a shame that this iso is abandonware, as the functionality for starting and stopping mining plus switching algos and coins was so simple.

hey guys. I'm back from the dead after almost a year.  Yup, the BTC and pinkcoin pump brought me back Smiley Luckily I found some old coins lying around in backed up wallets Smiley

Looking to build just one rig to get started again.  Still have an old Biostar H81 Hifi board that's still working great as my main computer.  Might turn it into a rig and move to a laptop now.

Do the old cards (950, 960, 970, 980) still work with the new kopiemtu?  Any suggestions on what to mine to hold long-term?

i've never had any mining rig powered by anything less than an 80% gold unit. i think it's worth the minor extra expense from bronze to gold.

nice to see you back around here induktor!

since Quark mining is right about at the cost it takes to mine, i only have one or two rigs going, mostly for space heaters since the temp is dropping nicely outside.

all the other algos are in the shitter. i think BTC needs a nice big pump.

yes OCTO is the Counterparty asset that used to be 888 (devs abandoned original scrypt coin from March 2014).  A burn took place a while back, so that's where we are

If the hashrate is too low poolside, increase the diff until you get rejects locally.

--diff 0.00390625 is the only setting that gets me no local rejects but only gives 1/10 the hash on the pool.  All other diff settings in multiples of 2 or divisions of 2 give rejects and still not the correct hash at the pool.

if i increase the diff over and above 1.0 in multiples of 2, the miner starts submitting faster and faster with 0 accepts.

even at 10 mBTC/GH/day neoscrypt was just barely profitable for maxwell.  and it hasn't seen that rate in a while

@impulse2000 what does your bat file look like for myr-gr algo? does the pool-side hashrate agree with your local hashrate?
i'm still only able to get 10% of local hashrate to show at the pool , even using --diff 0.039xxxx

chrysx, i have been running .conf files for ages now under kopiemtu.  I can switch algos like lightning over ssh and can also start and stop mining very quickly with a single command:

mine "stop", "start", and "status"

the .conf files are stored in a known directory. issuing the mine "switch" command cycles through all the conf files in the directory and writes to a miner.conf file which ccminer will read from the next time it's launched with mine "start".

it's very convenient and the reason i've stuck with kopiemtu, even with the broken stats and monitor program.

it would be nice to have all the switches available in ccminer spelled out for usage in JSON-RPC format, instead of the single letter abbreviations in command line mode. (i.e. "algo" instead of "-a")

only reason for win 10- 32 bit was that i already had win 7- 32 bit and the upgrade to 10 was free. the 3GB RAM limitation is really killing me though. firefox and even chrome are such memory hogs.

as for flashing from non-ti to ti, i'm not sure you could do that.  i think non-ti has 512 cuda cores, and ti has 640 cores.
