Re: PhoenixMiner 5.8c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux)
by

The  new  version  is  finally  ready.  You  can  download  PhoenixMiner  5.8c  from  here:

PhoenixMiner_5.8c_Windows.zip Github
PhoenixMiner_5.8c_Linux.tar.gz Github

Changes in version 5.8c :
  • Full LHR disable mode -lhrdis <n>  1 - yes (default), 0 - no
  • Added lock core clock
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RTX 3060/3080/3090 cards
  • Implemented new "turbo" kernels (-clkernel 3) for AMD Polaris cards that can work with the current DAG sizes over 4 GB. Note that -clkernel 3 uses double the VRAM and will
provide slightly faster hashrate with slightly higher power consumption. You can use the -rvram command-line parameter to specify how much VRAM to be left unused
  • Increased the maximum supported DAG epoch to 600 (i.e. until about Sep 2023)
  • Implemented full hardware control for AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux. Note that with these cards under Linux you need to specify relative core voltage: e.g. -
cclock -50 will set the core voltage to be 50 mV under the default value
  • Added ROCr kernels for Vega, Radeon VII and Navi cards. With these kernels you will be able to run these cards with Linux drivers 20.45 and later but the performance will
be lower than with the older PAL drivers and kernels. We recommend using AMD Linux driver 20.30 for all cards except RX6900/6800/6700
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux (there is no need to run these cards with -clkernel 0 anymore)
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers up to 21.8.1. Note that Radeon VII cards will not work with drivers 21.6.1 or higher - you need to use older drivers for proper
    operation of these cards
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers up to 21.20 (use older drivers for Vega or Radeon VII cards as they will not work with 21.20). Note that the latest 21.30 drivers are
not supported (and the initial testing shows that even the older Polars cards are not working properly with them, so avoid 21.30 for now)
  • Numerous other fixes and small improvements

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.8c

This is a very good question i am still suprised why people still fall for some petty crypto scams. The thing have discovered in my years in this industry is that if you are looking for a fast way to make money you will definitely be scammed.

i dont think you can buy bitcoin without kyc verification because of fraudulent activities. Fraudster can use anybodys debit card to buy bitcoin if there is no verification. i did verification on binance but im still unable to buy bitcoin  with my debit card. I dont want to believe its my card issuer but probably the country i am in

If you are a newbie to crypto why not start buy investing in top 10 coins in coinmarketcap.com than investing in some shitty ICOs that you cant trust. I can remember three years ago when i got started with crypto i bought my first bitcoin before i even thought about buying any other cryptocurrency. Buy bitcoin first there are no good ICOs at the moment to invest in

Re: What affects the price of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies
by
hassancisse
on 05/09/2020, 22:41:42 UTC
The prices of cryptocurrencies have been going up and down since it was created and there are so many factors that can make the price fluctuate that way and i will be identifying such factors below:

1. Supply and demand: The higher the demand the higher the price. If theres an high demand for bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies you will definitely see and increase in them. We all know that the total supply of bitcoin is just 21,000,000. This makes bitcoin very scarce and it will definitely see an increase in price following the rule of the lower the supply the higher the price

2. Market speculation: Speculation provides the market with liquidity and the aim of this speculators is to make profit. So many people see cryptocurrency as a speculative tool because its easy to create fear in people about a coin and so many people will FOMO in.

3. Regulatory and Government issues: The government of every country are always finding a way to regulate all cryptocurrencies which is not possible. The fact that they dont like the decentralized nature of it. Cryptocurrency is definitely not accepted in every country in countries where it is accepted and probably the decide to regulate and ban later. This can affect the price of cryptocurrencies badly.

4. Community size: The scale of the group is what significantly impacts the Bitcoin price or every other crypto. A wide group is signalling that there is strong interest for this coin. Many businesses and individuals use it, and that broad adoption encourages more growth.

5. Ecosystem development: Many cryptos have their issues even the head of it all Bitcoin. Presently scalability is the main challenge of bitcoin, This means the network is unable to deal with the rising amount of transfers that users submit. Many cryptos have their issues too and these issues can cause a decrease in the price of them
I think this is a wrong way to interpret. The reason for market movement has always been demand and supply and nothing else. All these factors that you have mentioned except demand supply are nothing but just factors that affect the demand and supply in some way. So Economically speaking the equilibrium ends up at the point where demand and supply gets exhausted.
Speaking of it financially it's really pretty hard to get an intrinsic value of bitcoin so finding a rough value using finance is almost impossible. Finance generally counts the PV of future cash flows for intrinsic values.
I think the major reason behind the volatily of crypto currencies are the demand of the users. For example of this month has the lowest demand of the users then the next will be affected. The higher the demand the higher that the crypto currency's value will rise. That's why the value of crypto are not consistent because sometimes it goes down and sometimes it goes down.

That is why included supply and demand as the first reason because the basic rule still applies to everything and it definitely still applies to cryptocurrency also no one can say otherwise. If we get more people using crypto in their daily life we will definitely see a rise in all cryptos.

Re: De-fi?? What does it mean

Decentralized Finance in short has got a big meaning within it. For users who have been a part of cryptocurrency investment it can be understood. This is just a platform developed over a blockchain with which one can develop his own financial tools and products to decentralize the investment. For example when we deposit into a bank, we'll get mere interest while the bank receives high interest spending our money on different other shares and loans.

Through Defi this is being eliminated, because everything is open and we used to create our own tools and make the investment. The perfect functioning will happen when the exchange services too go decentralized.

This is just the explanation i am looking for i have read a lot online but this just hit the nail on the head.I really appreciate

You also have to understand that bitcoin is a speculative asset. As such, there could be some we will spread negative news like FUD so it drives the market price to go down. And then when we have exaggerated news, price appreciates and everyone wanted to join the FOMO.

Yea I included market speculation it all comprises of what you mentioned as negative news and FUD.

Let's slide apart a little bit. This is just based on personal choice. We can all tend to learn from it too though. In this business, we all aim for the cash rhy? Even if patience is highly required, but my silly question is, who gets more, if one decides to earn in just one of the following:
1. A moderator
2.An investor
3. Bounty Hunter
4. Wearing signature
5. Social Media.

The investor is the only stand out person here others are bounty hunters and the investor is definitely ahead of the other 4. He knows the right thing to invest in and doesnt wait for pump and dump project to pay him their shitty coins for bounty

Re: Sports Industry taking over the Crypto space
by

The Sport industry going to take over the crypto betting, you mean? Cause other than using crypto for betting and such, I don't see anything else for sport industry to be involved with crypto. Betting and gambling is just a tiny scene in comparison with crypto.
Not only betting and gambling. Football clubs want to give more to their fans with the use of cryptocurrency everything doesn’t have to deal with gambling or betting when it comes to sport. The facts that fans can make decisions with their fan tokens is huge
