LTC mining with CGminer help
by
headygains
on 17/04/2013, 22:18:27 UTC
I'm running a single Nvidia quadro 600 gpu with 311.35 drivers, I read that thread concurrency and intensity can cause cgminer to crash my gpu drivers to crash I'm wondering if anyone has the recommended settings to mine with this card (I already had it)(Just started mining less than 7 days ago, just switched to ltc from btc after that amount of time....)

Re: Teresa is going to get a visit from the IRS
by

The IRS is a private organization not actually part of the U.S. Government... It's a corporation just like any other designed to make money, to bad most of the money made is actually going back to U.S. taxpayers. (Here lies the problem with America as a whole) America is a business.

The problem as I see it is everyone is caught up with the almighty dollar, shouldn't it really be about the advancement of Humans as a species?
When Money gets in the way of groundbreaking research because it's to costly then there really is an issue.

Starting to ltc mine (ISSUES)
by
headygains
on 17/04/2013, 19:53:37 UTC
I planned on using cgminer to do my litecoin mining, I'm not an experienced only been at it about a week on bitcoins, but I'm running a single
nvidia quadro 600 and an older intel dual core. It didn't take me long to realize that with this setup I wasn't accomplishing anything over at slush's pool (except minutely adding hashrates to the network).

Now I'm using the wemineltc.com pool with cgminer, I generated my user .bat and placed it inside my cgminer file, executed it and viola.
It ran great excluding the fact that cgminer was only using my cpu, when I enable my gpu it crashes my drivers. specs below any information could help!!

Os: Win7 Home Premium
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (C) DC 2.13 GHz
Chipset: P965
Motherboard: ASUS P5BW-LA
GPU: Nvidia quadro 600 - 1GBDDR3 - PCIe 2.0 x 16
GPU Driver: 311.35
Miner: cgminer-2.11.4-windows

Not sure if i should post this in Alternate currencies or here in technical sorry if it's wrong.

Update:

Can't seem to connect to server (localhost?) I'm not really sure why this is,
reaper.conf
Code:
kernel reaper.cl
save_binaries yes
enable_graceful_shutdown no
long_polling yes

mine litecoin

litecoin.conf (reaper)

Code:
host localhost
port 9332
user heady
pass trip

protocol litecoin

worksize 256
aggression 18
threads_per_gpu 1
sharethreads 18
lookup_gap 2
gpu_thread_concurrency 6144
litecoin.conf (appdata\roaming)
Code:

rpcuser=heady
rpcpassword=trip
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=108.205.170.147
rpcport=9332
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0

block_nTime=1317972665
block_nNonce=2084524493
I added the 2nd rpcallowip, in hopes that it would connect through my network subnet ip. no dice any ideas?
got lib_curl error code 6
http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html

Code:
CURLE_COULDNT_RESOLVE_HOST (6)

Couldn't resolve host. The given remote host was not resolved.

Re: Manually pinging bitcoind/bitcoin-qt peers for new blocks?
by

I think it's RPC but I'm not sure, I was trying to setup a ltc miner last night that had me editing conf files and rpc was the precursor in the code...

I'm just now setting all this up I hope it still works ok, and or I hope I have enough gpu power for this to be effective but probably not.
I'm running an Nvidia quadro 600, that has so far failed to work with cgminer (drivers crash).
will let you know how it goes!

I currently have a nvidia quadro 600 and am currently in the process of setting up my miner and so forth, tried ltc mining with cgminer but it would just crash my drivers and shutdown, so I'm looking for an alternative I found a tutorial on solo ltc mining with reaper I'm not sure if this is a viable option because I don't know the current difficulty of the block and I have yet to successfully gpu mine ltc, I'll link the tut in a sec lemme go find it.
