Link to informative thread with information about using a bitcoinalk escrow service and list of bitcointalk escrows by Financisto here.

Please contact any of the above recommended escrows before conducting any business on bitcointalk.

This forum and the crypto world in general is full of scammers, using an escrow will help greatly against being scammed but not guarantee it.

Use common sense and due diligence and ask an established member if you're in any doubt. We're all here to help believe it or not Grin.

*I've compiled this list to help forum users. At the time of last update these are all trusted forum escrows. If any escrow on this goes rogue and scams I'm not responsible in any way, shape or form.  I do not know any of them personally only through the bitcointalk forum. If in any doubt about one of the escrows please contact me or any of the other escrows on the list.

If anyone can recommend updates or corrections please send me a private message Smiley.

I have quoted my original post for reference as I've been notified by private message that there is a scam accusation against bittawm https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5527343.new#new

As bittawm haven't been active on the forum since 22/8/23 I will remove them from the list.

I will also be removing the following as they haven't been active for a while for whatever reason I don't know.

Date last active and forum username:

5/11/22 - John K
9/8/24 - SebatianJu
30/7/24 - Dabs

Apologies this list hasn't been updated for a while I don't come on here very much anymore.

New updated list as of 23/1/25:

Hi everyone apologies for not keeping an eye on this thread, I used to get emails telling me when someone had commented but haven't had any.

Long story short I'm out of the game now so hadn't' been logging in anymore. I still have an interest but not as much as before.

I'll get in touch with each escrow later today or tomorrow to see if they're still offering the service and if anything needs updating. Or they can contact me in the meantime.

If some are removed then perhaps there are some other good trusted escrows I can add?

Thanks for the update!

No problem I'll get the thread updated over the next few days when I've had a chance to contact everyone  Smiley.

I believe everyone on this list operate manually at their own time. So transactions can take a few hours, or even a day.
If this list had included an escrows from local parts of the forum, then maybe the situation would be better for the entire community.

I wrote to the esteemed @hedgy73 several times, but I was rejected in response because "I dont have enough forum trust to be on the list".

When I gave him information about myself (11 December 2018), who I am, how many time I'm in the crypto community, and what I do), his answer was: "I can only go on what I see on the forum." -- I can assume he doesn't give a fuck about the information I gave him, and he didn't even check it out. And it turns out that he's "right" because he is the topic starter. 🤷🏻‍♂️

And the last one thing:

After that answer, it's understandable that I stopped messaging him, because it would be rude of me, and I also realized that he wouldn't add me to the list because of... <put_a_reason_here>.

And again, there are no criteria (except for the personal and subjective opinion of the author of the topic).

In the past, I was naive and thought that we were all a friendly community here, and we can help each other and of course newcomers in the community so they wouldn't fall into the hands of scammers.

My humble advice to a new escrows -- ignore this list, even though Google loves this topic.

Simply offer your services and build your reputation and do not participate in deals involving the selling/buying of forum accounts (LocalBitcoins accounts), because by doing so you're encouraging the spread of spam and potential fraud. (It's my personal belief.)

This post was written without a drop of anger or spite to the author of the topic.
I just expressed my opinion and how personally I see the situation.

Thanks.

Ok I'm not exactly sure why you posted this but here goes.

Just over as year ago you asked me if you could be on the list I said no as you didn't have good enough forum trust. I feel that having good forum trust is very important as its a list of trusted forum escrows.

You then sent me a few messages saying you had some trust on this site and some trust on that site which I said no again and asked you politely to stop messaging me.

Now a year on you make this post when you still dont have any trusted forum feedback and the untrusted feedback you do have is half red.

As I said to you privately a year ago I get lots of requests from people to be on this list but they're not considered because they don't have good enough trust on this forum.

Also at the moment I feel that the list is full of very professional and trusted escrows and so there is no need to add any more people to it.

I hope this explains my reasons to you. Have a great day and good luck at becoming a forum escrow one day.

Hey Acid the reason imgur reduces your picture quality is because its file size is larger than 1MB. If you can reduce it to below 1MB before you upload it the quality should stay the same Smiley.

They are quite fun, it is a lot more hobbyist that just buying antminer and plugging an ethernet cable. They can be a lot easier to screw up too that's for sure (DAMN YOU ESD!)

Ha ha yes I agree, getting them set up and running properly was a nightmare sometimes but very rewarding when everything was working Smiley.

A hacky scrypt rig I assembled a while back, overclocked slightly to 13.6-13.7 MH/sec (all devices are stock because I'm a chickenshit when it comes to actually hardware modding such things  Smiley )...  It's all stuffed into a PC case because the computer therein also serves as my network gateway/firewall, so it's up 24/7 anyway.  The strips of tape across the front are just to keep my cats out while the machine is closed-up, as the front "knockout panels" have long since been removed.

Nice job, that's a pretty funky little rig you've got there Smiley.

None here I posted here a few months back to get Darkstar_  added. I doubt you'll hear any objections either considering they have been entrusted with one of the positions on the forums multisig wallet.

Does anyone have any objections to me adding DarkStar_ to the list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=507936

He's asked and if no objections will add in a few days.

DarkStar_ is a given for this list, considering he is now also part of the forum treasury Escrow team.

Big thumbs up from me!

Thanks for the recommendations I have added DarkStar_ today Smiley.

The CET (crypto escrow team) is no longer escrowing. Lauda's thread also leads there.

minerjones still has an active thread: here.

Thank you I have removed the info and link to CET and Laudas link.

Sorry been out of the loop for a while, can anyone please tell me when renting hash for solo.ckpool.org is there a better location to rent rigs from or is it really luck of the draw?
I can't recommend anything in particular but I'm sure some of the others can make recommendations.

Hey -ck thanks for the reply can you please tell me server locations surely that would be a good start?
de is in Germany and main pool is in Dallas US. There is a slight lag on German server compared to the main one so if you have a choice, renting in US and using the main pool is better.

Thats great thank you Smiley

Sorry one last question is it worth renting a rig with asicboost or not?
If it's cheaper sure, but overall hashes is all that matters.

Okay thank you Smiley
