He probably meant design and have produced a batch of chips, not build a factory from scratch.
Leastways I hope that's what he meant.
All would change is knocking off a couple zeroes from the campaign - still pretty unattainable.
Even though it's a very expensive process to build a batch of chips, since creating masks require cleanrooms for starters... It's not feasable for a startup company, so why bother

Does anyone here have experience or know if its possible to collect the miners directly from Bitmain??
What do you mean by collect? Like cash and carry option, or delivery? I'm not sure I comepletely understand your question There are no "real" distributor of bitmain hardware only a number of resellers

Yep, let me just get my wallet with 20btc... I'm sure it was somewhere here Oh wait ... I can pay off my mortgage.
I don't really understand why people are making Mining software for android, while smart phone functions are only for communicating, though now they can also enjoy high quality games. But still, I think the smartphone is not a land or container for mining crypto currency.with the specifications and the current price of smartphone, I do not think it will be worth the income gained from mining using smartphone.
But you can use the IoT networks connected to you smartphone to mine crypto. I even heard about viruses that utilizes your smart-home system (basically everything almost down to your oven) to mine btc. That's kinda scarry. You probably will not pay attention to higher electricity bills if you afford smart house, and someone else would benefit from it.
Hi All, I'm just wondering if I could really use my laptop to mine bitcoin? My husband says my laptop did not reach the exact specs to mine a Bitcoin. That's why i didn't try it yet. However, my friend said they are using old laptop to mine bitcoin so I assume that his laptop should have older version of specs. Well, the below is the specs of my laptop. Can you please advise me? Thank you so much.
Processor : Intel (R) Pentium (R) CPU N3700 @ 1.600GHz (4 CPUs),~1.6GHz Chip type: Intel (R) HD graphics System Model : Inspiron 15 - 3552 Operating System : Windows 10 Home Single Language 64-bit (10.0, Build 15063)
Yes. But I wouldn't even bother. The efficiency of your laptop is not enough to be highly profitable. Plus, you'll burn it in a few days, since in order to mine, you need to run it 100% capacity 24/7.
Make sure you have no sentimental attachements to your laptop
Say I have one bitcoin today. What should I do with it? Should I get four S9 antminers or three L3+ antminers or combination of them.
Are are some smart options to grow this one bitcoin? - buy equipment & mine (i have cheap electricity) - buy equipment and have Hashnet host them - hodl - invest in LTC instead of BTC
What would you do?
You are kidding, right. Have you seen the BTC rate? Spend it on yourselve! Don't bother anymore.
But seriously I would say buy equipment (on some percentage of 1 Btc) & mine. And keep some for yourselve, spend it on something nice - like shoes
I'd argue that there is NO CPU mineable coin because you will eventually ruin your CPU mining at extreme loads and high temperatures.
But, to answer your question, i'd say go mine Monero. It's easy to configure Monero miners and price is just enough to be decently profitable. Good luck!
yeah it's not like the good old days And regarding Monero, I'd say that you are on point. Although the profits won't be anywhere near satisfactory you could potentially make a small amount of money

I doubt that Bitcoin gold would be a very popular. At least it's hard to scale up from low investment, since you'll need multiple minners to be profitable. While with other cryptocurrencies you at least can start with a single minner, get your money back relatively quickly and invest new profits in more equipment.
Seems kinda scarry, since I got myself the smart house system, that someone would use all of the equipment to mine crypto. It's a bit paranoid of me, but now I'm considering to find a protection software, just in case.
