On the other hand, people vouch for that lakeshore xyz one all the time, and they don't have much in stock - either pre order for z11 or hydro S9. But at least they show mostly out of stock, whereas this genimining.com has EVERYTHING in stock. (But site looks well done otherwise, even better than the xyz site.)

Hi, I think they are a pure SCAM website > just check their about us section > photos they use are dummy sample photos that probably came with a website template.

We did a general checkup on the site at fb.com/ibflv/videos/ to warn our users after one of our members started considering buying couple miners from them.

Not a bitcoin maximalist per se(though a huge majority is BTC), a shitcoin is simply a coin/token that is either:
1. Unnecessary: A perfect example would be Dentacoin. A coin for dentists? wtf?
2. A scam or a pump & dump: No explanation needed honestly. e.g. Verge(XVG)

Longer description:
I am planning to do a public experiment of creating a coin with infrastructure / getting it into some exchanges and developing a wp payment plugin (the last step).
The experiment is already public and our Facebook community
At the moment I am looking to fork Loki and most of their tools in order to launch a minable and asic-resistant coin with masternodes. Note: not looking into Runes etc > just the coin and the infrastructure.
We will need to create basis:
- coin
- blockchain explorer
- solo-mining tutorial
- mining pool
- win and macos wallets
- masternode + tutorial
I don't plan any premined coins nor developer bounties > clean "Fair Launch" without ICO (don't want to have legal problems)
The budget is 0.2 BTC
The masternode solution has to be prepared as well, but it will not be functional till we have the fist 1000 coins for it.
This will be a clean project, you can attach your name as the initial developer and if launched should bring you more Latvian clients.

What about the masternodes? They are definitely excluded from his formula.
Question: do masternodes add another layer of security that actually is absent at btc?

What was your biggest mistake launching your coin? What do you wish to have known now? .. and how long ago did you launch your altcoin?
I have tried launching a coin and it never worked out as I planned it because we had a very big issue which was funds, a lot of startups don't have funds to carry their project to a stage where a lot of investors can here about it thereby investing in the platform, we didn't have enough funds to create awareness about the platform, so we just had a project of great potential that no one knew about, I had to stop the project even though the blockchain was already running because I had no funds to continue working on it.What was your original budget? Which "new" expenses didn't you expect? Thank you.

Why on earth should you launch your own products, has cryptocurrency now become a game for everyone to start playing...
In my case - we have a niche facebook community (untited by Latvian language) and we do live fb talk shows on various topics around the internet business and not only. As for the crypto - we started exploring this topic, building miners together, doing interviews, exploring trading and more since late 2017.
I have this idea of running a real life test > is it really possible to launch a coin (not token), and make some profit? It is more an educational public real life case study
.. and, of course, it is always useful to learn from the mistakes of others.
.. I'm trying to be as careful as possible not to advertise anything... scouting for the breadcrumbs of experience.

I've had long conversations with my accountant and we decided to go after plain name of the coin + Limited. It is quite complicated process to register any companies in the UK with included words "Fund", "Foundation" and even "Happy Society" - needs additional work and in many cases, written permissions from other related parties.
